What Is It?

First, a raised scar is surgically removed. Then, to prevent recurrence of the scar, radiotherapy is used hours or days following the surgery.

Even though excision + radiotherapy treatment completely removes the scar(s), in some cases, scar(s) may grow back after the treatment.
