  1. Hi! I want to know if this regimen is right for skin that is tight after washing but oily in day...how can I make my skin NOT oily during the day? 1. Wash face in shower with Benzoyl Peroxide 10% creamy wash (told to by dermatologist) 2. Use Eucerion regular lotion, although on back it says apply to dry skin. Again, dermatologist, but only until my skin stopped drying from medication (which it has) 3. Workday, and by 11 or 11:30 my skin is oily. If I don't put on powder, it's terribly b

I finished my second week of Accutane yesterday and the side effects have been rolling in this week haha! I had a bit of a crazy week this week, I've been trying to plan my sisters hen party which we celebrated on Friday/Saturday, lets just say I'm bloody happy it's over! As i said before, I've been enjoying a wide range of side effects this week, the worst being the whole of my mouth peeling. Literally, when I wake up I can swipe a towel around the inside of my mouth and it comes out
  3. Hello all. I've never had cause to come on the rosacea and facial redness part of the forum before but unfortunately this has been a real issue for me recently; mainly intense, unpredictable flushing that comes with blotchy red patches and broken veins and is particularly brought on by heat. My dermatologist recommended trying a green tinted moisturiser to disguise it and after much research into ingredients (because I'm still really prone to breakouts and terrified of trying new products on my
  4. I've been on The Regimen for three months now. My acne has slowed down impressively (I usually got 1 inflamed pimple every 2-3 days, now if I do get one is like every month or so) the thing is my face is red. I live in a country were none of the recommended moisturizers are available (Except for Cetaphil's Gentle Lotion or whatever, but it costs almost 40USD and it contains comedogenic ingredients) .I am using a Neutrogena Oil free SPF as moisturizer , but it doesn't even moisturize. I recently
  5. Hello, I had some quick questions pertaining to Accutane. Thanks in advance! The first questions I have relates to the moisturizer I've been using (Eucerin Professional Repair), does anyone know if this is a plausible choice to use, and if it causes break outs to occur? My dermatologist recommended for me to use "Aquaphor Healing Ointment" for my lips while on Accutane, however, after using it I sometimes will develop little pimples around my lips, should I continue to use this or fin
  6. Hi guys, I used to post often here and since my acne got under control, I unfortunately deserted the site. I thought I'd share what's been working for me honestly. I am free from active acne, this is due to Accutane taken in 2009 (4 years ago) which has kept me clear to some extent. I use: Eucerin dermopurifyer cleanser (all UK acne.org members please look into this- it is absolutely fantastic)- PM me if you want more details Simple hydrating moisturiser Garnier ambre solaire sheer contro

    Day 38: Err...

I'm worried about my face. I'm pretty sure it's irrational, but it's scary to see my acne change almost half-way through the Regimen. It doesn't look as unsightly now, but my skin is SO flaky and red, and these bumps under my face have a pretty smooth, shiny texture, and it's hard to see the pores around them...might be cystic? I have no idea. I want to blame the birth control, but I'm scared to because I have to wait 3 months to see if it'll help or not. Woo. I could be overreacting,
  8. Yeah, I clumped my weekend together again. I said I wouldn't do that, but clearly I can't live up to that promise. Well, my skin's been clearing pretty nicely. Most of the bumps are going away, or are smaller whiteheads. And that's great! I'm happy about that. The main issue now is that I STILL don't have my acne.org moisturizer, and the Eucerin product feels like it's burning my face! My skin's pretty red and swollen. I'm almost positive it's the lanolin alcohol, which is also c
  9. Well first off this is my first post here but I've lurked these boards for a few years off and on. I first started getting severe cystic acne as well as clustered pustules when I was around 13-14. Now at 21, and a much healthier me, I now only deal with the occasional cystic acne (like once to twice a year) and very mild acne. Err, up until a few months ago at least. I'm having quite a bit of difficultly with my face lately due to some.... unintentional diet change. The brownies at the restauran
  10. Hello people on this website. If you havent read my blogs last month i was ready for accutane and now im officially on it . DAY NUMERO UNO1.... many more days to go. nothing to say much. However i did get accutane prep products to combat the side affects (mostly dry skin...) I have Aquaphor on the go tubes in two packs which was 5.49$ (for lips and reallly dry skin). Fine Tuning Regimen

So, I recently started using the Clarisonic Mia with the acne brush head. It's been extremely helpful; I feel like it's the only reason I can wear foundation on a daily basis now. I use just a little to reduce the appearance of the scars on my cheeks. I feel like I'm really fine-tuning my regimen now. Using Eucerin skin calming daily moisturizing cream before the bp/make-up has also been helping to prevent makeup-related breakouts. I think the mineral oil acts as a barrier for the pigments and s
