  1. "Why?" That's the biggest question of all. "Why do I have to deal with this? Why me?" As a licensed Skin Care Specialist (Esthetician) whom battles hormonal acne I know the struggle all too well. Given the career I work in, one might assume I have nearly flawless skin but that is far from the truth. All hormonal acne sufferers know, it's beyond frustrating to deal with acne. But, as someone who is supposed to be a skin care and acne guru, it's just plain humiliating and confidence DESTROYING
  2. Hey, I’m 14 years old supposedly struggling with hormonal acne. I’ve got spots and blackheads on my forehead, acne scars on my cheeks, whiteheads and blackheads on my nose and clogged pores pretty much everywhere. I’ve considered using AHA and BHA peels by The Ordinary as I’ve heard chemical peels really benefit your skin. I was wondering if they really work or if they make things worse. Has anyone tried chemical peels or are there alternatives?
  3. As a teenager I experienced a small pimple here and there, never anything cystic and never anything I would describe as acne. It wasn't until I turned 23 that my skin began having issues. I returned home from a family vacation with a pretty bad breakout. I tried over the counter products for a couple of months before I decided the breakout wasn't going away. I made an appointment with a dermatologist who took one look at my face (not a very close look) and told me that I had adult acne. Because
  4. Hello. Welcome to my blog! I have had a long journey in which I have tried to find perfect skin. I though I found the answer but (spoilers) I did not. Here's a little bit of a backstory for you. I had my first pimple when I was 7. I knew what it was, I am the youngest of a large pool of cousins so I had spent a fair amount of time questioning them on the bumps on their faces. It went away and I didn't really see another one until I was about ten. Then they started to show up in pairs, clusters
  5. I am 26 and have suffered from acne for 12+ years. I originally began with Clinique 's cleansing system back in my teen years, but when the breakouts kept coming I started to see a dermatologist (well... actually three over the years). I have tried every product from retin-a, benzaclin, epiduo, the list goes on... I've had oral medications and eventually turned to accurate which dried my face beyond belief, but did leave it clear for about a year and then that acne began to rear its ugly head on
  6. I'm so excited my products have finally arrived and tonight will be my first day starting the regimen with dans products. I'm praying for the best it's so hard to help others with their skin when I'm not even comfortable in my own but I have faith in these products. I have a question though when I shower is it okay to let the water hit my face or do I have to splash it in my face?
  7. I have a pimple on the left side of my face that has been on my face for nearly a year. It has never come to a head. I have gone to estheticians who have had a hard time removing it. I really feel insecure about the pimple because I feel like my face could be flawless without that pimple which will not come to a head. I even tried Retin A (Refissa and Green Cream) but the pimple has not gone away or come to a head. I feel like someone needs to remove the pimple with a knife because of how stubbo
