  1. So I have lived with acne for a long time... and to be honest it has gotten better throughout the past few years. I am 20 years old and about a year ago I started a new treatment with my dermatologist and it was working well. It makes my skin fairly oily but I can live with that as long as I don’t have giant spots all across my face. Recently however I have started a new job at The Ritz Carlton where appearance is everything. Last night a pimple on my lip popped while I was at the desk and I
  2. Hi! I've had acne for over ten years now, and I'm looking for some support. I've tried countless prescriptions and do everything I can to protect my face, but nothing seems to work. Last week, my dermatologist switched me to Epiduo Forte Gel, Minocycline pill, and Beyaz birth control. Has anyone had success with these (specifically the epiduo forte gel)? Right now, my skin is bright red, burning, and peeling. I know it's because it's the first week, but I'm hoping to hear some success stories! T
  3. Hi. I have had acne since my preteens and have used prescription medication in an attempt to treat it for just as long. After a failed bout with Epiduo, my primary doctor sent me to a formal dermatologist. After a while, I settled into a regimen of Tazorac and Acanya gel, which was sometimes accompanied by an oral antibiotic. Despite the harshness of the combo, my acne persisted. Earlier this year, my dermatologist changed the Tazorac to a stronger dose. Two appointments ago, he replaced the Acy
  4. Hello, I'm 26 yo old male, im suffering from acne for about 9 years now, always in the area of mouth and chin my forehead is for example 100% clean all of this time. The first treatment i had was with accutane when i was 17-18 yo, it really helped me but unfortunately it came back after 3 years... soo i started another treatment with other dermatologist he said accutane is trash and destroy liver and i should take it in the last resort, soo he guide me to start treatment with chemical acids
  5. I've been using Epiduo Forte (not anymore), so I wanted to start sharing how it is working out for me for those of you that are going to attempt to use it. Sadly, my doctor decided it was time i tried accutane, because of this, I will have to end my epiduo journey and create a new journey with accutane. Overall, I will say that epiduo has helped me on certain parts of my face, but not the parts that mattered the most to me.
  6. I feel like I'm sabotaging my own skin and am considering quitting all my acne products. I get some hormonal acne but I feel like what I dislike about my skin more is that it seems to be irritated all the time with constant fresh zits. I'm afraid my skin will react badly if I quit using all my products: Morning: Proactive Step 1 Proactive Step 2 Aczone Moisturelle Moisturizer Bareminerals makeup primer bare minerals foundation-beamish remedy Night: proactive steps 1 and 2 epiduo fort
  7. Hello. I'm a 19 year old female taking TriNessa for acne and have been for the past 2 months and week. My skin is the worst it has ever been, my jaw line and cheeks are covered in inflamed, red and purple pimples and weird patches of inflammation that burn and are sore and nauseatingly painful to the touch, even when I shower. Ever since I started Trinessa, my moderate acne has become severe. Should I stop using Trinessa and try switching to the brand name Ortho Tri Cyclen, or should I wait out
  8. Hey guys, so I made an account on this website specifically for the reason to document my progress with Tactupump forte/epiduo forte. I went about a month ago to my doctor about my acne, which is mild to moderate, mainly in my chin and mouth area ( I've been experiencing it for the past 8 months or so). He prescribed me tactupump forte, and although it was extremely expensive, I decided I wanted to put an end to this once and for all. The first few days, I experienced dryness but not as bad as I
  9. Thanks for reading my post. First, I know that there are people out there with acne a lot worse than mine but mine is driving me crazy. I’ve suffered from anxiety, depression issues since my husband passed 5 1/2 years and the acne is making those issues worse. I don’t even want to be around people. My face has been broke out non stop for months now. I’ve been using antibiotic (I forgot the name) wipes every morning after washing my face with dove. At night I use Epiduo forte after washing my
  10. Here's the deal.. I'm 21, 5''5", 130lbs. After running some blood tests for hormone imbalances and learning about my irregular cycles and acne, my endocrinologist diagnosed me with a hormone disorder called PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome). He said I have high testosterone and imbalanced LS & FSH. He prescribed me Yasmin to regulate my cycles, help with the acne, and overall help with the PCOS. Now, I've done sooo much research on birth control pills, to the point I'm probably paranoid n
