  1. So, around January until March I ate several eggs a day (anywhere from 1-4 depending on the day). I noticed that my acne started to increase on my chin and I was getting way more whiteheads than usual. So around the end of March I stopped. Once I stopped, the acne slowed down a lot, but I noticed that now I get more acne on my chin than I did before all of this. I am wondering how long it usually takes for hormones to level out after cutting out something that breaks you out.
  2. I hope sharing my story with others may help them in some way. My journey with acne started around 25 years ago in my teens, I'm now 39. I've always had pretty clear skin on my face, just bad bacne (sometimes cystic and painful) and occasionally on chest. Made me horribly self conscious in certain clothing, at beach and god forbid, intimate with partners. Over the years, I've used oral contraceptive Diane (pretty good), taken supplements (not very disciplined, some made me break out horribly li

    Allergy To Eggs

I am 99% certain that I am allergic to eggs, and that eggs have been one of the main contributors to my adult acne (I'm 26). I recently wrote a post about becoming clear while on spironolactone (the popular anti-androgen that has been featured on acne.org and elsewhere). In that post, I mentioned that since February I had reduced my dose of spiro from 100 mg to 50 mg (still too afraid to wean myself off that final dose!), and had been pretty clear until June. HOWEVER I'm a researcher, and
  4. Hi Everyone, I'm just curious to find out whether anyone else predictably gets small cystic acne (i.e. small painful lumps) on their forehead a couple of days after eating eggs? Luckily I don't really like them so I don't lose much sleep over avoiding them but I just find it interesting that it specifically causes that type of acne only on my forehead. Lee.

  6. I stopped my no/low sugar diet yesterday [saturday 25 May 2013] because i have continued to have bad breakouts last few days and the whole thing is just doing my head in. I haven't eaten any processed sugar at all for a few weeks and nothing sweet for 5 days or so but my breakouts continue. My skin is worse than average and even if it is some kind of purge or Initial breakout i am not in a position to go through all this at the moment. I don't see the point in depriving myself and eating lik

    Muscle Building Diet And Acne

Hey everyone I will try to keep my sob story as short as possible, but basically when I was in high school I had pretty bad acne on my forehead. (and always JUST my forehead?) A couple treatments of minocycline seemed to take care of it and I haven't really had it since spring of my senior year which was in 2011, aside from the occasional stress-related breakouts. All of a sudden early last month it flared up again looking like it did back in highschool on my forehead and I came to the conclusio
  8. In the last few days I've been doing a little research into gluten and acne. I don't know the topic 'inside-out' yet, but from the little that I've read, I think it's something that I might try out. I just had a few questions first... Is it possible that my acne is related to gluten? I've had acne consistently since I was about 12 or 13yrs and I'm 19 (nearly 20) now. If my acne has never gone away (except through using antibiotics) is it more likely still due to hormones or could gluten have
  9. ●●●●●Sex Stimulants Cause Pimples & Ugly Scars●●●●● There are millions of people in the world who are chronic sufferers of pimples, which disfigure their faces and make them look ugly. Thousands of young people become so desperate and depressed due to the ugliness caused by acne that they even think of committing suicide. Abstinence from sex and the retention of semen for long periods in their bodies by young men can cause or increase the pimples and boils in
