  1. Ok so I have questions about being on birth control while on Accutane that I haven't seen or heard answered. Does being on birth control or not have any impact on the actual process of clearing up the skin? Is it safer in the long run (if I plan to have kids in the future) to be on birth control while on Accutane? I chose to not be on birth control by choosing abstinence. I know the crazy harmful things that could happen if I were to get pregnant, which is why I will not get pregnant whi
  2. HELP As the title says, I've been using differin since Wednesday (almost a week ago) and I've noticed my skin has become red, itchy and is peeling in the corner of my eyes. My doctor instructed me to not use differin in the eye area and so I followed his advice, however I've somehow managed to get the side effect of red blotches in the corners of my eyes. I tried to put a cetaphil moisturiser on them but it stings to put it on? If the moisturiser had a lot of chemicals in then I wouldn't be too
  3. Hey guys iv just taken my 7th dose of my isotretinion which is accutane as im lead to believe and ive already had some hair loss, nose bleeds, dry face, etc but on the 3rd day i got a small pain on my chest where it felt like someone had been sitting on me along with a cough, now im having constant coughing fits and it feels like theres water on my lungs. I also have a general feeling of being unwell and have for the past 4-5 days. I was wondering wether this could be due to the side effects and
  4. I have been told by my doctor that although there is no evidence that using azelaic acid during pregnancy should harm the foetus/breastfeeding child (especially in comparison to things like retin a etc) that she thinks I should stop using finacea if I chose to get pregnant.... just in case. I was very distressed by this as I have just found out that I have endometriosis and so I won't want to leave pregnancy for too long if I decide to have children (I have booked in to see a counsellor to d
  5. My advance apology if discussed elsewhere and,if so, would appreciate if somebody could point me in the right direction. I keep reading success stories with lasers, especially Fraxel Re:pair for deep acne scars. Many have indicated they would repeat the procedure, as many as 4 or 5, in as many months to further improve their initial outcome. Some repeat treatments were in the span of approximately every 3 months. After the first ablative laser treatment, which involves skin scabbing and peel
  6. Hello first time post the topic ^ ^ Started using this product line because my skin is oily and sometimes small pimples will appear on temple area, forehead area and the lower jaw area. In addition, my face have many printed pox (acne marks) which left for a long time. Tried many products which have salicylic acid, accutane, tartaric acid and azelaic acid, but the effect is almost invisible. Now I used these products for about 2 days and my face started become dark (the whole face not just the
  7. This article from WebMD (below) says that echinacea was found to change the composition of gut bacteria. It does not say whether this change was for better or worse and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. About a week ago I started drinking echinacea tea 3-5 times a day (box says to drink that much when you are "sick" lol). Everything was good but yesterday my body cleared out like I took a laxative. I'm taking a break because that wasn't the effect I was going for. I
