  1. Hello All, I noticed on my second long-term visit to China (both over 2-weeks long) that for the second time, major "breakouts" on my back, chest, arms, and legs had cleared up significantly. These "breakouts" appear as red & white pastules; one could guess they are acne-related or some form of bacterial infections, and a dermatologist previously diagnosed them as eczema. I am curious why these breakouts cleared in China, whereas anywhere I have lived in the US (both the midwest and sou
  2. There is no other way to put it: I feel trapped by my skin issues. I am currently 25, and I started getting the typical "teenage" acne on my face when I was 12...nothing horrendous. As I got older, acne started appearing in other places: shoulders, chest, back, and even on my legs sometimes. It just kept getting worse despite countless medications, ointments, regimens, etc. To top it all off, eczema also began to spring up when I was 16. I haven't worn sleeveless tops or even a bathing suit sin
  3. i received the full regimen 2 days ago and i was so excited that i started right away that night. I only used a pea sized amount of BP as directed, and about 2ml of moisturizer since my face is super oily and im living in a super hot and humid area. So i have used the regimen once a day at night for 2 days. The next day i noticed red, not dry but rough and leathery patches here and there all over my face, which is kind of similar to the eczema symptoms. And it itches really bad. Im really wor
  4. ZINC OXIDE: IF YOU GREW UP IN THE 80′S YOU MAY REMEMBER ZINKA…. Back in the 80′s the zinc was not micronized so it was very WHITE, and sometimes contained the addition of a hot pink, green or yellow color! Life guards wore it on their noses and lips. Yes the 80′s did happen. So did Stussy, big shoulder pads and NEON. So why am I obsessed with zinc oxide? It has cleared my acne, healed my eczema and calmed my irritated skin while providing UVA/UVB protection. There are not enough produc

    Day 2

I haven't washed my face for 2 days now and surprisingly I haven't broke out, my red marks are starting to fade and I'm developing a slight glow in my skin. Honestly, no treatment I have ever bought has worked as fast as this. My skin still feels a little dry and irritated, especially at night, but I'm hoping this will go away eventually. As for what I actually do in terms of washing/not washing ; I take a warm (not hot) shower every morning and wash my hair, I don't make an effort to wash
  6. Hi everyone, I've had this red patch next to my nose for as long as I can remember. There is also a spot on my nose that isn't in the picture. I'm honestly not sure what it even is or how to treat it. I've tried derma rolling, aha/bha gel, and other minor solutions but nothing seems to be working :-/ maybe someone else on here is going through the same thing or already went through it and knows what to do. It'd be awesome if anyone can help me out! Thank you!
  7. So I've suffered with really bad acne for a long time, it was bad to the point where you could barely see any clear skin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on 30mg accutane everyday for almost 6 months, it did wonders and completely cleared my skin (I still have a lot of scarring and get the smallest zits every now and then, but I'm just grateful most of the acne went way). My dermatologist was surprised by how fast the medicine started working on me, the side effects started on my 8
  8. Milk Free Diet Cleared My Cystic Acne, And.... ... Eliminating Sugar and most High GI/GL (Glycemic Index/Glycemic Load) foods cleared the rest of my 'white heads'. This worked for me, and will work for you. What I have been able to learn and understand for the past several years is that each and every person is different, and everyone will need to find what works for them and them alone. No one can do it for you, but this will do more for you than you could ever imagine. If anyone wa

    Acne With Eczema?

So as you may have seen from earlier posts, I attempted the caveman regimen after coming off of benzoyl peroxide as a way of detoxing the damage that the chemical caused to my skin. My skin was very very very oily as a result of using BP, so I thought I'd give the caveman regimen a try as I'd heard of it helping oily skin. So that was nearly 3 months ago. About 2 months in, I discovered the oiliness had subsided but now completely. Although my skin had almost completely cleared of acne itself,
  10. In 6 days I will have been on Accutane for 6 long, hard months. I am a 24 year old girl. I am 5' 7'' and weigh about 125 lbs. I have always had issues with my skin- ever since puberty. For the most part, my main problem was cystic acne that would flare up around the time of my period. I have been on birth control (yaz and then beyaz) since about 15 or 16. After trying retina A and various antibiotics over the years without the results I was looking for, my dermatologist suggested Accutane.
  11. I'm looking for some moisturizer and sunscreen suggestions that won't irritate my acne and eczema. I have very sensitive and oily skin.. A lot of the products that I've tried on my face burns and irritates my eczema. I'm really looking for a product that can combat the redness and oil on my face. My ACV toner already does a good job of getting rid of a lot of excess oil, but I find that my skin gets oily throughout the day, and I don't want to have to rely on blotting papers or anything of t

    face eczema

Do you have a product that can relieve my face eczema and how to prevent the face eczema?
  13. Cancer and AIDS patients get national recognition but we don't. Actually skin diseases in general don't. psoriasis eczema etc. To me acne is life threatening because it made me suicidal and homicidal.
  14. Nothing Too Yah

    Nothing I've tried is working

Here is my journey and everything you need to know about me. Please help me out guys. If anybody has similar experience with similar skin, I would greatly appreciate it. <3 SKIN TYPE: Sensitive, (Very) Acne-prone, Oily Skin, Seasonal Acne. -My skin loves the summer and I barely breakout during the summer. My skin seems extremely less sensitive in the summer. I only use a cerave wash and cetaphil facial lotion in the summer and I'm good. Once Fall hits, I start breaking out crazily and my
  15. A little bit of background: I've had red cheeks for a year or so, and always assumed it was Rosacea.. but recently my face has gotten flakier (and more acne) and I've been experiencing some symptoms of Seborrheic Dermatitis. I maintain pretty good hygiene and have a healthy diet, but these are really persistent and don't go away on their own (has been 5 months) like my acne usually does. I have no idea what they are and am really stressed over trying to treat them... Has anyone else had thes
  16. New blog so I can post photos! Duh! For your reference... this is me: Meet Natalie! Today at work...I'm dead. I'm so sleep deprived I have no idea how I'm still functioning. 17. Even though i have some kind of allergy/eczema/atopic dermatitis going on in my face and neck... (My allergist confirmed that to me weeks ago), Diane-35 has helped me A LOT with my acne, so I´m happy to take it. The weight gain is the only side effect i´m having right now! But not other side effects for the moment. Do someone know what to eat/not to eat when you have atopic dermatitis? I´m confused with this disease... Thank you!
  18. Not much happening on the acne front but my arms are getting quite dry still. I am going to ask the derm tomorrow for some cream for them. Tomorrow! 4 weeks already. If the next few months go as well as this I would be happy. Estee Lauder double wear, wow! Where have you been all my (adult) life. It makes my skin look good. Here were some pics. I apply it with a brush and it goes on lovely.
  19. So when I first went to this dermatologist, I was prescribed to use an oral pill for acne, and Aczone. 3 months later, my face has gotten better after (mostly) regular usage of the oral pill and extremely infrequent usage of Aczone, as well as going dairy-free. I'm apprehensive if I should use Differin, becuase everything I've read so far says NOT to use on skin with eczema... Additionally, my skin has acne that's more on the light to mild side. My face isn't freaking out, and I don't have pus
  20. Hi, I am new to this forum. I have been following up with acne.org since last year and I have FINALLY created an account for the forum. To make it short, I have had acne since last year when I had a breakout (moderate to severe) after I used a new makeup (bb cream) and I have tried various prescription drugs from my doctors and it only worked for a short term such as Ziana (Which I DON'T recommend because you have the chance of getting keratosis pilaris due to its ingredients after prolonged usa

    A Tough Journey...

Hi guys! I'm Alex and I'm a freshman in college. I would really appreciate if you could dedicate a few minutes to reading my story and, hopefully, learn from my mistakes and achievements. I'm now 18 and have had skin problems since I was 16. I started seeing the first pimples over Christmas break of my Junior year in high school. Like most people used to having perfect skin, I immediately ran to the store and bought cleansers, exfoliators, oil control lotions, etc. Thinking I knew it al

    Pimples On Top Of Eczema

As we all know acne can be hard enough . However some are also struggling with eczema . As I do myself I know its hard. I got a patch on my face so I applied hydrocortisone and this then gave me 4 pimples that ache as well as the eczema still being there and I use BENZOYL peroxide which shouldn't be used on eczema (can't understand why my doctor gave it me ) However tonight I am going to just put sudocrem on it as it is for acne and eczema so it seems a good idea , I also take antihistamine, whi

    Acne&eczema "oh My"

As a teen I had your run of the mill acne that was treated with antibiotics and some creams from the dermatologist. As I got into my twenties I started having some kind of atopic dermatitis acne and possibly rosacea. I would use drying creams for the acne and then my skin would be scaly and irritated. I tried Accutane which was a miracle for a short while but eventually seemed to stop working. The side effects were rough and some long lasting. I got peels and tried retin-A and other topical acne
  24. Regenerative Detoxification

Fruits healed my cystic hormonal acne

I was a member of this site, acne.org, last summer when my cystic acne was ruining my life. In October I discovered a naturopathic doctor who spoke of “regenerative detoxification” to get my kidneys filtering. After I attained kidney filtration my health issues went away. My cystic acne, head to toe psoriasis, eyelid dermatitis and facial eczema cleared up, and the cysts on my ovaries disappeared, all of these conditions had been created through years of eating the wrong diet and I had created s
  25. Ugh I just realized I spelt road wrong.. oh well So, I posted back a while ago about turmeric and garlic helping acne. It surely did help. But, I am here again to sum up what I have done over the months where I spent over 100 dollars on different pills just to find the perfect regimen. My initial fear was the initial breakout from using facial products. So, I went through the "pill" route and tested a couple of different pills: vitamin a, d, e, c, b5, multivitamin, garlic, turmeric, bee-pol
