  1. Just checking back in. Almost 100% of the bad breakout from the meds and my hormones on my jawline and chin has resolved itself within the last 3 days which is great. I'm still super bummed out about the primer/makeup worsening my skin, though. Does anyone have any recommendations who is reading this? I think the cetearyl alcohol in the primer could have triggered me, too. The sunburn got way worse by Monday morning...rock lobster bad. Lol. My entire face has basically been peeling since Mond
  2. Skin Condition The acne marks on my cheeks still improving, but today they seem to have taken a slight step back The discoloration on my lip is looking better than ever though My chin looking the most inflammed this morning with some new pimples popping up around my mouth. this is where i focused most of yesterdays exfoliation. So i think it was to blame. No dry skin this morning but my skin feels a little irritated. my forehead has lots of little red bu
  3. Skin Condition Per usual, my skin looks the least red in the morning Lots of acne marks still on my cheeks, no surprise The pimples on my lip continue to shrink and dry out The three tiny whiteheads on my chin have reappeared despite popping them so I guess thats a sign not to do that again I actually woke up with what i would describe as slightly OILY skin. Wow. Thats the first time that has happened since I started this treatment. It wasnt gross oily, but like, he

    Day One: Skincare

Skincare changes began tonight: 7/9/2016 I quit panoxyl 10% and my persa-gel 10 (although it's a great spot treatment, it's too irritating). I used vaseline on my face and neck to help bring in moisture due to cracked and excessively dry, flaky skin from benzoyl peroxide. I washed that off with cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (a holy grail product) I currently will be using 3 products for the next 2 weeks. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (morning and night)
  5. Acne Status: I went to the dermatologist today to check in, get my blood work done, and refill my prescription! I’ve been getting used to the dryness and occasional flare-ups and things are slowly but surely starting to clear! My dermatologist increased my dose of Accutane to 80 mg a day (Two 40mg capsules per day). Not sure how I feel about this, but hopefully it’s a good thing. My chest is SOOO clear right now it’s so nice feeling confident in my swimsuit! My back is getting better, but still
  6. 1st month: 60mg/ day My entire body is dry, my face is extremely dry, my lips too. I developed three giant pimples on my right cheeck. I am now just using regular facewash but gonna start using no facewash at all since it's drying up badly. I remember first time i didn't use any face moisturizer but i have to start now. Absolutely annoying during work, freaking lips too very dry; ive stopped using chapstick now using a more powerful cream and it's only month 1! I was thinking of stopping
  7. My dosage has been upped to 60 mg per day, so two 30 mg tablets each day! I'm super excited to up my dosage because I just want to get better as soon as possible! My skin is still dry and my lips still chapped, but other than that not really noticing any other side effects. Excited to see what 60 mg will bring! Not so many pimples are popping up as well, which is making me notice my scars a whole lot more. So that sucks, but hey, hopefully new ones will stop forming! Does anyone know good s
  8. Well, after some much needed moisturizer and jojoba, my skin is back on its way. The swelling is completely gone, and the redness has gone down significantly. Also, the popped areas are still healing. They're not completely gone, but they're looking a lot less angry! I did have to exfoliate with jojoba oil this morning, though. I rubbed a good amount of it between my hands and massaged my face with it in the shower. It works better for me when my flakes are wet; they just come right off
  9. I just need to say, WOW, my skin was flaky yesterday. I have no idea what happened. I washed my face and flakes came off on my towel! I could've peeled so much of my face off. It was weird, but I suppose it's better to let some layers shed and keep my skin as fresh as possible. Gotta get all of the rest of that buried acne out of there! Speaking of such, I'm very irked by a cluster of bumps under my skin on my problem cheek. The other side of my face is SO much clearer, what's going o
  10. I'm sorry I haven't posted about the past few days. I didn't have time to access the internet this weekend. I'll just quickly summarize how my skin's been doing: Day 25: Again, flaky skin. Even though I was in a van for about 10 hours, I insisted on wearing makeup the entire day. There were travel videos to worry about and such. I bought Tarte's Maracuja Miracle Foundation the day before, which is a liquid. The woman selling me the product was successful in convincing me that liquid f
  11. This morning, I woke up to no new forming pimples, and even better, diminished whiteheads. I was so pleased to see that the popped whiteheads from yesterday healed pretty well, and it doesn't look like they'll be coming back. Thank goodness. The papule near my nose has also shrunk a bit, which is great. I just want to be able to wear makeup today without looking like a bumpy toad. My skin is still extremely dry and flaky, but I'm proud of this progress! This is one of those days on the
  12. Well, I freaked out yesterday, but it looks like my skin is back to progressing. Most of the areas that were popped yesterday are either now red marks or smaller whiteheads, which I'm fine with. It could've been worse! Of course, my skin is also back to its insanely dry, red, and burning routine. Applying the BP is never bad, but for some reason when I put on the 2 pumps of moisturizer (and 5-6 drops of jojoba now ) my skin starts freaking out and stinging like mad. It definitely needs
  13. There is a part of me that is absolutely horrified that I'm blogging about this *with pictures*, lol. However, I'm a really open person, so I really wanted to share this journey because I understand the struggle for clear skin and how it makes a person feel to not achieve it---let alone wonder if what they're currently using is actually working. I need the support and ideas and feedback just like anyone walking around wondering, "is this even working? am I just telling myself that it is? do I l
  14. Helo! Can't believe I have been following the regimen for 3 weeks already (booyeah)! After all the redness, flaking and itchy skin, I have finally passed that stage already. My skin is no longer red but as compared to my neck, it is still a bit darker. But yea most of the active acne, I can say, are 95% gone from my face There are still acne scars caused by previous acne in some part of my cheeks. But as for the forehead and nose area are pretty much cleared. My current skin routine: -
  15. I'm currently Day 14 following The Regimen I've seen minor improvements on my face, no new acne popping up in my face and the older ones are gone by now or at least very dry. However, I can still se acne scars here and there due to the old acne. My only concern is that my face is now darker than the usual color also when being compared to my neck. The skin also tends to get very dry after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, should I scrub off the dry skin on my face or just leave it as it
  16. hey I've been using the regime for a year now. Some of my acne has cleared up but not all of it. My skin is oily in some areas and unbearably flaky and dry in some which all started after i used the regimen. MY skin still stings from using BP. I use two pumps because I've been using the regimen for so long but i don't think its still suppose to burn. I follow everything exactly also i use AHA. should i decrease the amount of bp that I'm using? for reference I'm 16 years old with moderate acne t
  17. i'm a 15 y/o girl and i've been on accutane now for two months. my first dose was 40mg a day, but last month my derm upped it to 60mg. i've heard this is a pretty high dose (i weigh 125 pounds). my symptoms have been really bad. i'm fair and i regularly struggle from facial redness but the accutane has made it even worse. every day when i don't wear makeup i get asked if i was outside and if i'm sunburnt. my dryness has been really bad too, which makes the makeup i apply to combat my redness loo
  18. Hi, I have been on the regimen for almost three months. My skin is slowly improving, but it's definitely not clear yet. While I am aware that my skin will continue to be dry until it adjusts, it's a bit frustrating. I use Jojoba oil in my moisturizer at night, but not in the mornings. While it's helped the dryness, it's still hard to deal with and prevents me from wearing makeup. Would the next step be to add in the AHA+? I own a bottle of it but have not used it yet because I am very busy and
  19. Hi, I've been on the regimen for over 3 months now, and I'm still struggling with flaking. They're always there when I get up in the morning, and it takes a lot of spot picking to make sure none surface throughout the day. I know what you're going to say: use aha! I use Aha every night as my nightly moisturizer, and still there is no difference. I lather jojoba oil over my face after I cleanse in the morning, and before applying Bp. Is there some mistake I'm making that permits these flakes to e
  20. From the album: Week Five

WEEK FIVE I had a huge comedone on my nose that I popped, what's left is a huge scar. However, NO NEW BREAKOUTS! Recently, what looks like huge cystic acne bumps seem to form on my chin, however, they shrink and completely disappear the next day. I can notice that hyper pigmentation from old acne scars is slowing fading away! All breakouts are completely dried out - no new whiteheads. You can still see on my neck where the Benzol-Peroxide has darkened my fair skin, however I feel that over
  21. From the album: Week One / Day 4

WEEK ONE / DAY 4 (I was using Proactiv until it ran out and then I switched to the Regimen because Proactiv was too harsh on my skin.)**I am NOT wearing skin makeup besides mascara** I noticed that the redness had subsided, however, my skin was still "darkening" and "hardening". Acne was "smoothing" out, but new breakouts were still occurring. Dryness and flakiness still occurred. Acne marks were healing and being dried out. Still a lot of hyper pigmentation.
  22. I’ve been using Paula’s Choice benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. It works great, it’s keeping me for the most part pretty clear. However, the dry skin is miserable. And I’m 33 so it makes me look older. It’s flaky, peeling, just not so good. It itches like hell too. After I wash my face I moisturize, then wait about 15 minutes to apply the BP. I do it morning and night. Still having issues with the irritation. What can I do to lessen the irritation? Maybe instead of twice a day just once? Idk. I also don’
  23. From the album: BEFORE & AFTER ACCUTANE

You can see the dryness starting to set in with my hair & skin- this is about 6 mnths post tx.
  24. So I've been using the Regimen for over 5 months now. I'm very good at following the instructions and have seen great results. I breakout here and there but it goes away within a few days, and I know it's mostly hormonal. I used to have more on the severe side of acne, but I'm in my early twenties (did Acctuane for awhile) so I'd say it's mild now. But OH MY GOODNESS the flaking will just not let up. I use AHA twice a week and it helps for about a day. Soon enough, the dryness and flakiness is b
  25. I bet I am one of many people who will say that they have tried almost everything to clear their acne including supplements, prescriptions, products and treatments. So, I started The Regimen on the evening of 10-11-14. I am following the instructions exactly as stated. I can honestly say that the cystic and standard acne has dramatically decreased and any new acne seems come and go much quicker than before. However, I am experiencing some discomfort other than being dry and mildly peelin
