    Like a Desert

I am just past week 3 and my lips are officially feeling the full side affects of accutane. They are constantly peeling and hurt. I can't really eat anything acidic because it hurts. Even applying aquaphor every 30 minutes isn't seeming to help anymore. I was before too. I am currently awaiting my order of Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. I've heard great things about it and am hoping that that in combination with aquaphor will help! Other than that, my skin has been flaky, but I've been layering lotions
  2. Hey Guys, Today is day 7 on Claravis and to be honest I haven't experienced much change with my acne. Today my lips have started peeling, I have been using Aquaphor everyday since I started taking the pill but I know its inevitable, I will have dry lips (ohh please pray for me). I do want to ask if anyone has experienced night sweats, last night was the second time, with the AC on I woke up sweating profusely which scared me. And last night I also had the worst headache I've ever had, the pai

    End of month 2

So just finished month 2, and I feel some major improvements!!! So my face is almost completely clear apart from some remains of cystic acne around my jawline but this is fading. My back is clearing up but this does seem to be a longer process and I am still getting regular whiteheads on my shoulders. BUT I am having problems... my eyes ew bloodshot and get irritated quite easily. I she got some gel eye drops from the chemist which i am trying to use daily. I mean also using Dr Dans hydrocort
  4. Hi all! I am on the second round of Accutane. And one of the horrible side effects for me are chapped lips.VERY chapped. I had hard time dealing with them the first time, so on my second round I started to search for options. On my first round I tried all lip balms(Dr Dan's too)...and they would relieve the pain..but lips still peel...(grr). So this is what I found that SUPER surprised me. Lip plumper...you heard me!!! The first one is Sally Hansen Lip lip inflation. To my luck, apparently

    One week in

So I am a week in to my course of accutane, so far I have not had overly dry skin but already my lips are drying out. They're not cracking they just feel dry to the touch. So I am using Nivea Moisturising Care lip salve with SPF 15. I am on holiday at the moment as well, so I am struggling with the sun as I am burning very easily, I cannot emphasise that enough!! I am applying factor 50 twice a day, but this isn't really enough. I am still on a very low dosage so I am expecting more side effe
  6. Hey Everyone, So I just wanted to let you guys with severe dry lips from accutane know about this amazing product that can help relieve them. So the product I use while on accutane is Pure Lanolin. It is rich and yellowish in colour. Super glossy and I think looks like an amazing colourless lip gloss. It made my lips look like big glossy model lips! Well that's what my mum said anyway. It is made from sheep oil and usually used for sensitive nipples and by breastfeeding mothers. But this stuff
