    day 1 - 25 accutane

I have had acne since age 10! It is mainly hormonal and oily spots. I basically been on anti-biotic for 6 year trying to treat it but its persistent! My acne compared to some cases ive seen is mild. I have lots of little pimps on my forehead, cheeks, and breakout regularly in some puss spots but no cysts etc. However i thought i'd grow out of acne but 8 years on it's still persistent! I always denied accutane as i was young and didn't want to deal with the side effects like dry skin and mood swi
  2. No. Seriously. WHAT IS THIS ISH ON MY LIPS it won't show up in pictures very clearly, but its there. they start out like tiny little clearish/lip colored bubbles/bumps on my lips... theres more. WTF is this. when i stretch and examine my lips i can see little specks underneath the skin or something. i think this is almost worse than acne. Im not stopping the regimen but please somebody, if you have had this and know how to get rid of it please tell me? I honestly can't leave my room. I know t

    Day 3

A few pimples came to the surface, but this seems pretty normal since I pretty much always have pimples coming and going 24/7. I'm just hoping this is my skin purging the bad stuff and then it'll start to clear up! I'm still not that dry - I MAY be producing a little less oil? I just don't feel the need to blot my face with a tissue in the bathroom nearly as often and I feel like I don't look as shiny as I used to. I think my lips might be a little dry? Still not a huge difference, I'm just tryi

    Day 17

40mg 2x day I should write down what happens, for myself and for anyone who might experience similar side effects/results. I'm turning 30 this month, going to be hard not to drink more than I should. My doctor and pharmacist said it was fine to have a few drinks from time to time. I've drank twice already on accutane- had half a bottle of wine, and another time had 2 drinks. Days 1-3- lips stated to get dry, nothing big. Days 4-10- lips got supe dry, and nose and skin. I had to upgra
  5. So I am done with week 3 and going in week 4 already ! time is passing by so fast which is a good thing while on roaccutane . So sadly I am in the bad phase now, the past week I had break outs and it seems like acne are taking longer to heal (or at least to puff down). The past week my nose was very bumpy and rough, it seems like the blackheads on my nose are coming out which made the texture of my nose very rough and weird. Even though I know I am not suppose to do any scrubbing while on ro
  6. I am just past week 3 and my lips are officially feeling the full side affects of accutane. They are constantly peeling and hurt. I can't really eat anything acidic because it hurts. Even applying aquaphor every 30 minutes isn't seeming to help anymore. I was before too. I am currently awaiting my order of Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. I've heard great things about it and am hoping that that in combination with aquaphor will help! Other than that, my skin has been flaky, but I've been layering lotions
  7. The dryness is back. My skin is really flakey and it is making it really hard to wear make up without it cracking and looking horrible. Really don't want to leave my house but trying my hardest to keep the dryness down. Spots are still there but not as angry.
  8. Just took a shower this morning and looked in the mirror and in horror my whole scalp is peeling. I don't know if I maybe burnt my head on holiday but it looks like I have dandruff all over my head . If anyone has had the same thing please let me know as I haven't seen anything like this on the side effects sheet i was given.
  9. Hi guys so I'm really enjoying this idea of me blogging everyday on my skin, its very relaxing for me and its a nice way for me to unwind at the end of the day! Progress: So today I woke up and it was my time of the month, sorry if this is TMI but I thought I'd add it becayse usually around this time I'd get a few more breakouts. I surprisingly didn't have a huge pimple anywhere, but i did notice a 2 or 3 tiny pimples on my forehead but theyre tiny, barely noticeable Also the big under the sk

    Day 20

Almost 3weeks! oh my days, it feels like 2 months! soo many side affects but they are starting to stop now, i used to be exetremly itchy but now not so much, i would get a sore, bloodshot eye etc but no longer that but possibly worst ive been getting very slightly blurred vision in my left eye, what should i do about this? i can barely notice it but when i can its pretty annoying? has anyone experienced something like this? the eczema on my hands are starting to peel and make my hands not lo
  11. Helloooo everybody. So yesterday was my first day of school while on Accutane. I woke up, my lips almost numb from dryness, and my skin was peeling. It was peeling so much, and i had to slather on moisturizer like it was nobody's business. Today, was much worse, I was so frustrated because no matter how much moisturizer I put on, my foundation did not cover the peeling. It was clear that I was peeling and I had to put a tiny bit of emu oil so it wouldn't be so disastrous. Yeah, so that wa
  12. Hi all, so about a week week or so ago I was on clarithromycin for tonsillitis. After 4-5 days on this I experienced a pretty strong allergic reaction. My skin on face and body was really dry and red, and hot. It was a little itchy. Now it’s a week post. the skin on my face is very dry, tight and flakey. I moisturise multiple times a day and all over my body it’s still very dry. My face gets so oily during the day normally that I have to blot it constantly but now no oiliness. Even the ski
  13. Has anyone tried any of his products? I am interested in his rose water spray but wanted to know if it was comedogenic? Is it good for sensitive skin? Thanks x
  14. Hi, I have been using the kit for around 3 days now (and I'm loving it so far!) and I'm using the BP as recommended but I'm finding that my skin isn't over drying or becoming itchy etc so I'm wondering if it would be safe to/ recommended to increase the dosage/ frequency that I'm applying it to my skin? Thank you, Erika
  15. I have been using the treatment for over a month and have just incorporated the AHA but I’ve been expierencjng white flakes across my face. Especially in the chin/moth area and between the eyebrows. How can I fix this
  16. Hey guys, So I have been using Cetaphil's gentle cleanser to wash my face for about a year. However, it still dries my face a ton!!! I thought it was supposed to be one of the least drying products out there! If anybody has any experience with another cleanser that might be less drying please let me know. I can't even go swimming without my face looking totally dried and flaky. Please please please let me know if any of you guys are using a product that is less drying. It would help me immense
  17. I have finally gotten my acne under control with Retin-A Micro, spironolactone, and Lo Loestrin birth control. Now my problem is that my skin is so sensitive that every moisturizer burns. I have used Cerave, cetaphil, Elta MD, and a few others. Any recommendations? The burning only lasts abut 30-60 seconds, but it's still unpleasant.
  18. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. i am a 17 year old female and as of December of 2015, my face has been absolutely terrible! I had never gotten a single breakout before this and now it's been nonstop. A little backstory, my mother doesn't allow me to take any of the pills the dermatologist prescribes. So that is out of the question. I have been trying everthing except for antibiotics. I had large hormonal cysts only on my cheek/ jaw area and under that was many many milia. Around February, i began taking p
  19. It's been just over a month and a half on Accutane. I'm on 40mg once daily. My skin had an initial breakout when I first started that was really bad but only lasted about a week. Once my skin healed from that it was nearly flawless besides scarring and hyperpigmentation. Then once again my skin broke out last week, assumably from my period, and it's slowly starting to heal up now. I've also gotten a few closed comedones (?) their like little headless pimples on my cheeks. They aren't too bad but
  20. Hello, I ve been using the treatment for about 3/4 months now... I had a lot of hyperpigmentation on my skin but a few active acne. My skin has improved a lot the scars are starting to fade away. BUT my main concern now is that my skin is very dry no matter how much moisturizer I put on. I use the acne.org moisturizer mixed with argan oil but my skin is still very dry. I am also noticing that my skin is cracking a lot. I want to know if you have any suggestion to stop my skin from cracki
  21. So I started the regimen a few months ago and continued doing it for two months. I have oily skin but it looks pretty good with make up. I just wanted to stop using make up and I wanted my scars to disappear. I got really tired of the dryness and stopped it. I started it again two weeks ago since I saw how it made my pores smaller. Now I'm in the middle of my second week and my flakes are back. I need to use make up almost everyday and I am trying any cleanser and moisturizer I can but nothing s
  22. Last week, I noticed a red circular shaped spot on the side of my left breast which appeared to be a ringworm. I wasn't sure what it was but I just left it alone. However it wasn't long after that that I began to form red spots all over my stomach and some on my bikini line area. At first I thought I was just breaking out because I tend to get red spots on my body however considering the amount of them and the fact that it's accompanied by the red circular shaped spot on my boob, I think it is a
  23. So I don't follow the regiment exactly, I only do it at night. I wear very expensive clothes to work and I have previously had BP ruin my clothes, because as the day goes on and I sweat/work etc it runs off my face and on to my clothes. Does anyone know if this stains?
  24. I was hoping if someone could tell me if this is to be expected. I just finished my first week, all acne.org products, followed instructions to the letter. My skin is so dry and stiff, like sandpaper, I can't even move my face. I use the moisturizer with plenty of jojoba oil and I only use a pea size amount of BP. I've always had really sensitive skin. Does this sound normal for just starting to use BP or is this maybe too dry and maybe some sort of reaction? No redness and the stinging stopped
