  1. So I am done with week 3 and going in week 4 already ! time is passing by so fast which is a good thing while on roaccutane . So sadly I am in the bad phase now, the past week I had break outs and it seems like acne are taking longer to heal (or at least to puff down). The past week my nose was very bumpy and rough, it seems like the blackheads on my nose are coming out which made the texture of my nose very rough and weird. Even though I know I am not suppose to do any scrubbing while on ro
  2. BEFORE accutane, I already had a quite bad dandruff problem. Almost my entire life. Oily hair, dry scalp. I've learned to live with it, though. I use T-Gel extra strength a couple times a week, after releasing all current dead skin, and I'm great at resisting head scratching. When I was younger my mom would do mineral oil treatments on my scalp which would help for a couple weeks, but my hair would obviously be extremely oily. I've only been on accutane for 1 week, and my scalp has gotten s
  3. Has anyone experienced itchy, dry, flaky scalp on accutane? I'm getting so much dandruff from it and it doesn't go too well with my dark hair. I'm forced to wash it daily unless I want to make a dandruffy fashion statement. Will this go away, get worse, stay as is? What can I do for it - product recommendations?
  4. I've been on accutane for 13 days now and I feel like I've already seen a difference, which is amazing. I hope I don't get the big bad initial breakout some people talk about. But I've already been experiencing pretty bad dry scalp and dandruff, I've been using the Garnier Fructis anti- dandruff shampoo which doesn't seem to be working at all. Whats the best anti-dandruff shampoo people have been using?
  5. Okay, so recap-- I am only 3 weeks into Accutane, but I started at a pretty medium dosage (30mg once/day). Then after a couple of weeks, I bumped up to 30mg once/day on odd calendar days and 60mg once/day on even calendar days. I think it might have been a bit too much too soon for my skin, and I had an initial breakout (which was made a lot worse by my hormones going crazy too). Before my initial breakout: Pores were much more visible Tons of blackheads on nose and surrounding it Bla
  6. So this is my 2nd week ( a little more actually), even though the side effects are kicking in I am still very excited! I got 3 new pimples yesterday even though things were getting so much better the week before, no white heads just (kind of) small red bumps. It seems like no matter how much I moisturize (i literally moisturize at least 5 times a day) my skin is still dry, yet its bearably dry and thankfully its not pealing or anything. I am currently using 2 creams, mainly I am using the c
  7. So I'm on day 15 of 40mg of accutane. I started taking accutane for my back acne. My scalp before accutane was normal, but I would get a few pimples on my neck sometimes. Right now my scalp looks like crap. Is this a initial breakout or something more serious. If something less serious what shampoos/conditioners/vitamins should I be using. I posted a picture for reference. Also, I got a haircut a week ago and that really seem to aggravate it. <a href="http://s1303.photobucket.com/user/Sa
  8. Hello, I am on day 18 of 40mg Accutane. I have a really itchy scalp, which I suspect is caused by shampoo. My plan is to totally avoid the use of any shampoo and conditioner from now on. I will use Aloe Vera gel to style my air. Do you think this is a good idea? I went to the drug store to try to find some kind of moisturizing hair product, but I noticed that conditioners even have alchohol in them (which drys out the skin), and I don't think T-Gel is right for me either because it has
