  1. Companion to the 'Examples of how bad the average diet is today' thread. And this is not just about sugar --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you all see the segment on 60 Minutes last night about how added sugar is toxic? They said very little that would be news to any of us. Obesity, Diabetes, heart disease, etc. One thing that might be new to most, since it's out of the range most of us are concerned about, is it'
  2. I have quite some acne scars on both cheeksand nose bridge left from ten years ago. I guess they are mainly boxcar and rolling ones, no or few ice-pick ones. Eastern Asian. I was wondering which doctors are recommended around Baltimore? I have heard of Dr robert weiss and Dr rebecca kazin. What would you compare or think of them, such as their specialities and their pricing? Are subcission and/or fraxel repair/restore good options? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hey Team, So here's my story. I have mixed scarring, a bit of everything, and it's never really bothered me. However the last few years my scarring got worse and it started to REALLY grind on me. I was living in Vietnam and had a Co2 fractional laser + infini treatment done. A really quite intrusive co2 laser, I had over a week of downtime. Did it make my skin better? No not really, and I was left with lots of gridding and huge pores. £2000 well spent. Moving on, I decide to physically m
  4. I'm 16, suffered from acne since I was in primary school (9-10 years old) and in a little less than a week I'm about to start my 10mg of Accutane, I just want to know (from real peoples experience, I do have to booklet but I feel like this kind of thing is a little more 'real' or personal) how long it would take to notice any side effects like dry skin or lips, or how long till I start to notice it getting better, I have rather oily skin and have been using Differam (dry topical cream) for the p
  5. hi! i'm a 19 year old girl who has been suffering with acne for the past 8 years or so. for a few years, my doctor had prescribed me lymecycline, which had initially helped but eventually stopped doing anything for me. my acne seemed to get worse, particularly on my cheeks at this point, which is when i was prescribed birth control. after a few months, i noticed that my skin became significantly worse - i had stopped taking the birth control. this was around a year ago - since then, i've been s
  6. Hey,I'm new here so if this in the wrong place or I'm doing something wrong let me know. Ive suffered from acne in and around my scalp area,as well as on my face and back since i was 13 i am now 21,my face and back have cleared up well in the last few years, but the scalp issue will not leave me. I have been on a number of medications since this start including, erythromycin, isoterin, doxycyline for a number of rounds (i may be forgetting some others )as well as accutane (I feel this is wha
  7. I've had acne since I was around 12 ( I am now 15, female). I am stressed out as I have GCSE's and everything, but my acne started when I was just in year 7, when I wasn't stressed at all, so i dont know if theres a link here? My acne is now mild' but I haven't had clear skin since I was in primary school and it gets me down so much. I get a cluster of tiny pimples in the middle of my forehead, so its not even a case of being able to pop a pimple. ( I never pick at my skin). I also took lymec

Basically two dooctors told me that the likelihood of me getting scars is highly unlikely, and i had a few dents in my skin that i was worried about, the doctors told
  9. Please help me doctors..! my face is getting covered up with ugly acne marks. I am using clean and clear foaming face wash. It clears out all active pimples but fails to heal my ugly dark marks on my face. I am also using garnier light serum spf 19 and it's been a week. Images below. I AM LOOKING VERY UGLY. HELP! PS: I live in a place where there are very less number of doctors.. IMAGES: https://imgur.com/a/58ej8 https://imgur.com/a/X6Mns
  10. Hi! Yesterday I got prescribed a form of antibiotic called Lymecycline to help eliminate my minor-medium acne problem. I've been struggling with acne from around the age of 13-14 (I'm now 18) and so I thought that with university coming up, I should probably try and sort my acne out (as waiting for it to die out on its own hasn't done any good). 4 years ago -around the time my acne bombed my face and body- I was put on a liquid antibiotic that tasted a bit like paracetamol (I have no idea what
  11. Hey guys, need help! If you don't wanna read my messed up story, skip to the bottom questions. So I got a prick test for food allergies/sensitivities. the doctor was pissed off cuz he said he didn't think food had anything to do with my health issues. The results came back and I was right. He was still mean about it. So the results said i was highly sensitive to soy and a lot of other stuff. It said I was barely sensitive to eggs and not sensitive at all to oats. I ate eggs and oats
