  1. I'll try to make this short. I know most of you have busy lives and I'd prefer not to waste your time. This is what has helped me with my cystic acne more than anything else: 1. At night in the shower, wet face with water, pour tea tree oil into my hand, rub it on my face for 30 seconds. It should sting a little bit. Rinse it off, use regular cleanser (I use Simple moisturizing facial wash), rinse, let skin dry completely. 2. Apply Differin gel 0.1%. 3. Go to bed. 4. Wake up, use a moi
  2. So I've been using Differin Gel 0.1% since January 1st until now (2 full months). At the beginning my skin was getting better and smoother and I'd like to think that it still is, even with my menstrual cycle which brings new pimples and breakouts on my face. Anyways, I haven't noticed any severe side effects such as irritation but I have experienced some dryness and a lot facial redness. First I thought it was just my cleanser; so I tried 3 different ones with no positive result. Then it dawned
  3. I have noticed extremely clear skin for me if I use salicylic acid in the morning and differin gel at night. Salicylic acid is clean and clear dual action moisturizer. I wash twice a day with Cetaphil daily facial cleanser. I also noticed very oily skin! I already have oily skin to begin with however it seems to be a thicker oil. should I try a different salicylic acid? Should I add a product? Any input is appreciated photo is 6 weeks of s.a. use and change
  4. I was on a course of doxycycline for about 4-5 months on its own and my skin cleared right up over summer, i visited a derm with minor concerns 8 weeks ago as my forehead had begun to slightly break out with about 3 or 4 spots which i hadn’t dealt with in a while (probably stress related because school had started for me again) I said I was about 4 weeks away from finishing my doxy course and she prescribed me differin cream. I began using it and noticed small comedones appear all over my forehe
  5. I am currently on Differin gel to help clear clogged pores, tiny zits, inflammations etc. but I still do have moderate acne scarring from past acne. I have a question does differin gel help fade PIH or would I need to exfoliate myself? Can someone please help me...
  6. I wanted to share with you what has finally worked for me with my stubborn, hormonal jawline/throat acne. First of all, I am a 49 year old woman who has battled acne off and on since puberty. It calmed down in my late 20s to late 30s (birth control) but after the births of my children I had my tubes tied and did not go back on the pill. My skin started to break out again but I was too old to go back on the pill. Periods are longer and more cramps too, unfortunately. So, for the last 5+ years I
  7. So I'm just starting week seven of 0.1 differin gel and my moderate acne hasn't improved at all. If anything its gotten worse is it normal to be this late in a treatment without seeing any positive results? Any replies are greatly appreciated
