    Constipation Causes Acne

For the past 6 years I have been eating an unhealthy diet and have struggled with dermatitis like symptoms. I recently realized that food might be the cause of my symptoms and had also realized that I have been almost constantly constipated. Going to the washroom was always about forcing and hard stools. When your stool becomes dehydrated from eating unhealthy the waste stays in your large intestine longer, therefore allowing more toxic materials to be absorbed into the body. At this point, I
  2. Hey everyone, i made a blog but i thought just making a question in a forum would be easier. Here my blog (From start to week 2) WEEK 3 (21 Days) I am still getting new spots more or less everyday or every second day so i guess im still going through the initial breakout, hopefully this will stop at week 5 or sooner because it is my birthday (woo) then and it would be great if it did. At the start i was drinking a lot of milk and other dairy products to try and get the "high fat"
  3. Hi, my name is PJ, I'm 24, and I've had severe acne and anxiety for the past 10 years, since I was 14. I've been documenting my healing journey on YouTube for the past 9 months. - http://www.youtube.com/user/HolisticHealthJ - I want to share my story with the acne.org community. If you're a person who feels like you've done everything to try and cure your acne, you've tried all the creams and topicals, you eat really healthy, you get sunshine, you exercise, you do all the things the health guru'

    How I Cleared My Acne

Hi everyone! I wanted to share this video with you all, because I finally have clear skin and if this video could help just one of you, it'd be amazing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mh1O39ZNuEE Let me know how you get on! xx
  6. Hi. I've been on a diet (full diet that's now complete.) which is basically avoiding all foods I am intolerant to, which I got a test done and I'd been having a fair bit of them. But they have ALL been cut out for the past 3 days. No, I'm not having junk food, such as Mcdonalds, soft drinks etc, a lot of protein and vegetables and snacks that aren't bad. I've been following what my nutritionist has been telling me to do. And I take vitamin supplements as well btw. Anyway, I've been seeing her
  7. I just wanted to say this... I have been doing a healthy fruit-vegetable with the acception of white meats, etc. No junk foods, fried foods, diary, and sugars of course. Well i've been doing it for about 2 months now, and all the current acne is gone after 1 month.. And my red marks started to diminish as well.. BUT, my stubborn ass figured i'd try eating something different last night, so i ordered 1 dominoz sandwich lol, i couldn't resist it, i thought my acne and red marks were unde

    Desperate For Help

Hi everyone! So I've been lurking acne.org for about two years now and this is my first time posting. I'm very desperate to find a solution to my chronic moderate cystic acne issue. Sorry this is so long but I really would love some advice! Ok so here it goes: I'm currently almost 20 years old and throughout my teenage years I suffered from a little bit of acne that healed very quickly and it started to get better as I got older. Never ever washed my face. But silly me before college decided I
  9. Hello, friends! I hope you have some wonderful plans for NYE. So ... I have a few questions about diet, as it relates to hormones - and a few other things. If you could take the time to lend me your expertise, I'd be eternally grateful! As I decipher my body's wisdom about what works and doesn't work for it, I've been thinking a lot about times in the past when I was clear, of course. All through college, I was on BC (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo), and used Differin. I don't think I neede

    My acne solution..

Hello folks, made an account to share what has helped me with my acne. I'm a 29 year old man. From the age of 14, I suffered from horrible cystic acne. The only thing that got rid of the cysts was accutane. If you have cysts and haven't tried accutane, do so. Asap. Before accutane I tried everything else. Antibiotics, creams, you name it. My folks while well intentioned, (a friend's son used accutane and had a mental breakdown) delayed my trying it by years. Immediate results, never had cys

    Low Gi Diet?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with the lchf or gi diet. Did it work in your experience? How long did it take? I would be very greatful if anyone could mention a diet that worked for them. BONUS MOTHER******* does green tea really help with acne? If so, which? Once again thank you!
  12. Previous history : I have had acne off and on since I was in high school. In high school it didn't really bother me and when I did break out, it cleared up quick. After my senior year summer, I had a terrible breakout. I used antibiotics and BP, but it would not clear. That fall I found out what I was doing wrong with my regimen and was put on doxycyline and epiduo. I also incorporated going in the sauna and working out 3 times a week. This resulted in me becoming completely clear for over a yea
  13. First off, the reason Im asking this question is because I want to gain weight. I am 107 puonds right now as a 17 year old male. i want to be at least 115. I tried gaining weight with olive oil and I broke out pretty bad. I was having like 4 tablespoons EVERY DAY for about 3 weeks, not knowing it has quite a bit of omega 6. So olive oil is out of the question, the only other way is carbs i guess. But I know that lots of carbs are bad. Sooo i was just wondering my diet is in the low to moder

Hi All, My names Ash, Well for the last 10 years or so I have suffered from Acne. In my opinion it totally ruined my teenage years. I am 26 now and committed to find a permanent solution to Acne. Like everyone else, I have tried.... EVERYTHING including the infamous "Accutane" aka "Roaccutane". All of these things only ever fixed the issue temporarily, my acne always returned. 18. I had mild acne as a teen. Never thought too much of it. In college, I went through a stressful breakup with a boyfriend. We had been dating for four years and I took the split pretty rough. After we broke up, my face erupted in pimples. It was also very, very greasy. I thought that this flare up was situational and would go away with time. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Three years have passed since. I am still very oily and suffer from mild to moderate acne. It only takes an hour or so after

    Acne Diet And Supplements

DIET: Being in an acne safe diet means cutting certain foods from your every day diet. Give it a period of 35 days to up to 3 months to see this truly works for you. But trust me, give it a real fair shot! NO: Dairy, Coffee (yes coffee!!), gluten, sugary drinks, alcohol, sugar (cut it out), seaweed, turkey, shrimp, and SOY (yes even soy milk, so no more soy lattes please. Make your self a favor and get more involved into cooking rather than eating out. Restaurants tend to use a ton of che
  22. I've recently started supplementing with standardized Milk Thistle one time a day and wondering if anyone has any success, experience with helping with fat digestion and liver cleansing which would ultimately help with inflammation and skin? I am taking doxy in conjunction with Spiro and really wanting to treat my liver well and aid it in all it's work. Since taking doxy I also take a good probiotic, but I noticed an increase in bloating and IBS symptoms since on the antibiotic. However,

    Paleo Diet Log.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this diet didn´t work for me. I had already followed an extremely healthy diet for three months, and I kept going for another month, but I achieved nothing, only extreme weight loss even when I ate big portions and several times a day. For me, it isn´t worth it, but I was desperate like most people here, so I tried it as a last resort. I want to say this to anyone who reads the post because I don´t want anyone to be deceived. I think healthy diet can help some people with

    Diet and Acne

I eat like total crap. Bags of candy and cookies everyday, ice cream, crackers I’m a total binge eater and have always been. Although I have seen progress with my skin, starting tomorrow I’m going to fix up my diet significantly and then I’ll finally see if it makes mine worse and by how much. I’ll keep posting in here.
  25. Firstly I would just like to say hello and thank you for all the information I have picked up here over the past few months. During this time I have grown increasingly conscious and irritated by my bacne and so began scouring the web for solutions. Most of these were quick fixes for people who have a zit the day before prom and are 'freaking out', but then I found this place. It has helped reading the numerous pieces of information dotted around throughout the forum and thanks to the fact that t
