  1. wouldnt that make them even worse/redder actually? what does redmark consist of exactly? what does area need to regain previous color/normal skin actually?
  2. Hi again, Just wanted some help on natural products to use. I have atrophic and box shaped scars on both my cheeks and I am desperate to get rid of them. To correct those I am planning to use a dermaroller at home after a week. Can anyone please suggest me good natural products I can apply after dermarolling? I am too scared of retinols, synthetic vitamins A and C entering the blood stream since dermarolling could certainly increase absorption of any product by n thousand times. Bleh! N
  3. Yesterday afternoon, I had my first Dermapen session with a trained professional. She used a 1.5mm needle and put Proderm Hydrogel on my skin after the treatment. Yesterday was as expected: my face was red and a bit sore, nothing out of the ordinary. I was washing my face with tepid water and reapplying the gel every two hours as directed. This morning, however, was another story. I woke up to find my face covered in tiny white pustules, like whiteheads! It's so awful; it looks horrific and i
  4. Hi I am new to these forums but I have been here a few times. I was really confused about all the information regarding derma rollers, and well in needling in general and improvement in specific scar types. I believe I was reading that it has only been studied (vastly understudied yet hope inspiring) but mainly it improve hypertrophic/keloid type raised scars. But where does that leave other ice pick indention scars? And is the science behind collagen stimulation even remotely feasible? I want t
  5. Hi there! Just joined a few minutes ago in order to ask you guys advice about my acne treatment. So I'm in my mid-20's and have had acne since I was 20. I still get pimples here and there, but I think most of pimples have stopped if I moisterize. I have a lot of scarring going on, mostly ice picks and red marks, and I'd like to do away with them with your help! Most of these were caused by popping cysts that formed, leaving a lot of red scars and coloration. So here's what I'm doing right n
  6. Hi, I'm looking into buying an at-home dermapen device, can anyone tell me which is best? I thought the Dermapen would be as its the most popular but I just came across the Derminator which claims that the dermapen stays in the skin for too long and then causes micro-tearing when the pen is moved. The Derimantor looks a lot more basic than the dermapen but if it works better and is safer for long term use, I will go with that. It's just so hard to know what claims are true! Any advice would be g
  7. I have posted here before about my scars and how I was treating them with serums and chemical peels from Make Up Artists Choice. Well, the time has come where I need to realize that I cannot fix these myself. So I have scheduled a consultation at skincare institute in my city that does scar revision. They offer the Lumenis FX Deep Repair, photofacials, microdermabrasion, Candela VBeam, Obagi peel, subcision, excision, punch grafting, cross therapy and fillers like Juvederm, Restalyne and Scul
  8. Hi there guys,I posted this under the "Dermarolling Support Thread" as well, here is the thing,I underwent a series of dermarolling about a few months ago and now I'm starting to notice shallow line depressions over where the needles went on or also called "trackmarks". Any of you guys who have done the same procedure experienced any of this? Or do you guys know of any way to treat this. Or is this just another permanent damage I stupidly inflicted on myself? Please give me your thoughts, thank
  9. I've recently started spironolactone to control my acne and it's been getting better, but I want to treat my scars. Would laser help or should I try dermarolling? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks
