  1. 4 Basic causes of Acne (and some types of Rosacea) - make sure your dermatologist tests you to verify which type you have. The treatment for each type is completely different. Correct diagnosis of the cause is important to clear the skin condition. Demodex skin mites are the most under-diagnosed cause of acne for people of all ages. Some more enlightened dermatologists will test for the mites. Many old school dermatologists were taught in school, that the mites were harmless. As such man

  3. f your skin and/or eye problems are caused by demodex mites, there is an oral treatment that was quite effective for me. It was published in the International Journal of Infectious Disease in 2013. Treatment takes 2 weeks. Oral Ivermectin and Oral Metronidazole. Insurance copay was just $13.03 (Uninsured retail about $52 USD). These drug are older, so cheap generics are available. In the study, using the combined oral drug treatment helped put 71.6% of patients still in remission after one yea
  4. Do you share some of the same skin problems as me? So im on minocyclie right now.Started it a week and a half ago and my acne has decreased very much. I only have two active pimples and the rest are either bumps or marks. I wash my face with sea salt morning and night which does make the skin soft and works as a spot treatment. And i moisturize with neutrogena moisturizer. But the skin on my acne prone areas is red, as if it is irritated or sweating. All other areas of my face are clean and fres
  5. Hello, Been trying to see if demodex is the cause behind my severe nodulocystic acne by trying a regiment of 12 mg ivermectin twice (1 week apart) and 250 mg 3x a day after acne is returning after two courses of accutane. Also have had acne since I was 12. Has anyone done this and had success? I seem to be getting a bit worse since beginning 5 days ago, is this the mites dying off? Thanks, James
  6. Cheap, Effective, 2 Week, Oral Treatment for skin and eye problems caused by microscopic Demodex Skin Mites. If your skin and/or eye problems are caused by demodex mites, this treatment may be a cure. The oral treatment kills the mites all over your body even in hard to reach glands. If you have ocular rosacea (aka blepharitis demodex) it is very important to get it treated before it damages your vision. If your dermatologist did not test you for Demodex mites, you should ask them to do so. Demod
  7. So I'm a 34 year old woman and my skin has gone crazy again. I'm pretty desperate to find a solution and this is a journal of all the things I am doing to try to fix it--I'm throwing the kitchen sink at this problem. The Regimen worked for me for years. I had a massive breakout when I was 26, which is when I discovered Dan's Regimen. It was a life saver (as was this forum). Over the years, with the Regimen, my skin was rarely flawless, but it was pretty good and largely manageable. There
  8. Hey all, I've been a very long time lurker and just now am fed up enough with my severe acne to finally start a thread here. I have tried nearly everything imaginable since I began getting acne at the age of 12. I was put on an unbelievable variety and amount of antibiotics and topical treatments till I was about 17 when I finally caved for accutane. I used to be well versed in isotretinoin dosages but all I remember was I was put on about 20 mg more than I should've and for about a month and
  9. Hello all. I ordered this Russian ointment and it was outstanding. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=646105762135469&id=644119402334105 All my problems (it was acne or rosacea of unknown ethiology) were completely resolved for about 2 weeks. The effect if long-lasting. This ointment is very effective but stinking. I recommend it to everyone with dermatological problems. I am entirely satisfied. Nothing helped so much as this remedy.
  10. I have been wanting to write this for a long time, just first I had to see for myself if it really works, so I think 99% it works. Whenever I stop using the treatment I would start breaking out with little pimples, but thank god nothing like before (knocking on wood). Once I start using the treatment again, my face would clear up really fast and no more acne would come up. I am not here to advertise, so I will not give you any websites and you would just need to find it online on your own. A

  12. Hello guys. I wonder if you tried any of sulfur, zinc, salicylic acid, creoline. I read in some reports that these ones are great for oil skin problems, acne and demodex. I found such OTC topicals in Thailand and one multi-component ointment in USA https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=646105762135469&id=644119402334105 Have anyone tried it? Is it worthtrying to order?

  16. If you have acne that isn't responding to bacterial acne or fungal acne treatment, this may help. If your dermatologist did not test you for Demodex mites, you should ask them to do so. If you have demodex skin mites the following treatment can be very beneficial in as little as 2 weeks.. Microscopic demodex skin mites can cause big blackheads and acne like eruptions anywhere there is an oil gland on your body. That is everywhere but the soles of your feet and palms of your hands. That
  17. Before going on Accutane/isoretinin get tested for Demodex Skin Mites and/or a Fungal Infection The very common, microscopic Demodex Skin Mites can cause acne like blackheads, whiteheads, pustules and papules. The mites eat oil. There are 2 kinds that live on humans. Demodex Brevis live in the oil glands. Demodex Follicularum live in the pores. The mites live and die on a 2 to 3 week cycle. The mite life cycle may make the condition appear to get better and worse on a cyclical basis.
  18. Hey folk, I need help. I am going to GPs and skin clinics etc too. But it would be helpful to hear from those who suffered from the same looking condition. I have been "diagnosed" (by GPs without any skin analysis or skin biopsies) with Rosacea once, Perioral Dermatitis twice and Folliculitis was suspected by another practitioner. I have had a mite going crazy on my skin when I was about 23 years old, when my immune system wasn't strong enough because of the antibiotic I was taking (for the
