  1. I got Deep Fx about 2 months ago. My esthetician put me on a Vitamin C/retinoid serum, but it is not controlling my comedonal acne. I was hoping to swtich the serum with Epiduo, as Epiduo has worked for my skin in the past. But I'm not sure if the ingredients in Epiduo are okay to use after Deep Fx? Will they inhibit my collagen production or my skin's healing? I have young skin, as I am only 18, so I am very prone to breakouts. I need something stronger than a vitamin C serum to control my a
  2. Well well well, here I am. Back again. Back in the early 00s this community gave me so much support. I thought I would come back and give an update. Back then I was known as "Guardedly Optimistic" now i'm "Guardedly Optimistic 2017" This is the thing, it's a journey. My skin is still very damaged; mostly visible under harsh over head lighting. But...and get this...I ended up pursuing my dream of being an actor and filmmaker! Yes, acne and scars and insecurities and all that crap was not goin
  3. After searching all over Los Angeles and Orange County for a year, I finally picked a doctor. I am confident, I found the best doctor using the most effective laser for my kind of scars. I have decided to document my journey so that others know what to expect. My laser treatment is scheduled for Dec. 4th. I had my pre-op today. The doctor was nice enough to make a special trip to his LA clinic on Thanksgiving weekend just to deliver my pre-op kit and meet with me. His laser clinic is actually
  4. Exactly 1 month has passed since my Deep Fx treatment. My esthetician had offered to treat me with Infini for a low price--$700 discounted from $1300. He says microneedling will allow me to see results quicker so that I dont have to wait the 6 months required for Deep Fx. Microneedling isn't permanent, he says, so by the time the results from Infini wear off, my skin will be fully recovered from Deep Fx. Thing is, I don't trust my esthician. He doesn't care about my skin and treating it proper
  5. Hi everyone, I think this is probably my second or third post. Over the years, I've gotten a lot of advice from you all and I would just like to return the favor by letting you know what has worked for me. My problem is not acne but is two scars that were caused by trauma years ago. It would be considered atrophic scarring and I actually had the scar revised by a plastic surgeon in September. One scar was about 2cm and the other was about 1cm in length and pretty narrow and located on my forehea
  6. I had the Active FX and i kinda regret not taking before pictures, I feel kinda bad for not taking befores so I will make sure I have before pictures this time. Even though I dont notice almost no improvement on my scars from the Active FX procedure. Does anyone have suggestions for my scars or should i just ask for the DEEP FX this time and not the active FX again. Also how long am i going to have to wait until I can get another fractional CO2? And will DEEP FX give me very good results after 1
