  1. I was taking arnica montana for a sports injury and quickly noticed my skin become unusually soft and clear. A few weeks later my chronic dandruff significantly cleared. Fast forward 3 months and I've been able to sustain the results by taking arnica montana 200ck twice a day. I've continued a fairly clean diet, but do indulge once or twice a week without the normal repercussions. Has anyone else successfully taken arnica montana for Acne?
  2. So to begin with im 14 regular hair. Previosly bleached, dyed, relaxed, keratin treated, and sometimes blow dryed and straightened. Well i do hurt my hair alot but i do lots of good to it aswell. After i had my keratin treatment with 3 weeks i mixed coconut oil, hair oil and castor oil and applyed them wrapped my hair and left them for 4 hrs. When i removed them and washed my hair i had the WORST dandruff you will ever witness. My scalp was litteraly peeling like a sunburn. HUGE flakes falling e
  3. Hello, I've been having heavy acne (comedones absolutely everywhere on the body and face, cysts primarily on neck, chest and upper back and along the length of the spine). I've tried for a long time benzoyl peroxide, combined antibiotics, antifungal medication, tretinoin, glicolyc acid, salicylic acid, different alcohols, sulfur, supplements(zinc, magnesium, vitamin d3, probiotics, vitamin B complex), I've spent an absurd amount of money, effort and pain and never got a permanent result or eve
  4. Hi, I'm a long-time reader, first time poster. I've been on a pursuit to cure my acne without Accutane. I've had acne since I was a teenager (I'm 38, Caucasian, female), and the only reprieve I got was from going on Accutane in my early 20s. My acne came back during my first pregnancy in my early 30s, and I have been battling with it ever since. I've been reading many forums on acne.org for several months now, and I have many of people's suggestions: I'm taking Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5 (in l
  5. I currently finished my third week of Accutane and have developed dandruff with itchy scalp. My question is: Should I use dandruff shampoo or just highly moisturizing conditioners/hair treatments?
  6. BEFORE accutane, I already had a quite bad dandruff problem. Almost my entire life. Oily hair, dry scalp. I've learned to live with it, though. I use T-Gel extra strength a couple times a week, after releasing all current dead skin, and I'm great at resisting head scratching. When I was younger my mom would do mineral oil treatments on my scalp which would help for a couple weeks, but my hair would obviously be extremely oily. I've only been on accutane for 1 week, and my scalp has gotten s
  7. And the winner is Bag Balm!! I caved a bought a green tin of Bag Balm from Walgreens and boy does that stuff WORK! Don't get me wrong, Aquaphor is awesome too, Bag Balm is just a little better. Here's the rundown... Aquaphor: - helps dry lips a lot - needs to be reapplied more often than Bag Balm - a lot more expensive (around $3 per ounce) - main ingredient is petroleum (this stuff is vaseline on steroids) - smells better Bag Balm: - smells really bad if you're not used to it (a m
  8. Hi everyone, Some of the information I'm posting here has been mentioned in some of my earlier posts, but I'm trying to combine them all together to hopefully map out the underlying cause of my acne. In a nutshell, I've changed so much but there is a case of the law of diminishing returns occurring. Background: I used to be a severe acne sufferer until I heavily restricted my consumption of dairy and sugar. This included excluding mainstream fast foods and all soft drinks. I improved by addin
  9. Summarized version of my success: No masturbation No daily hot showers; short cool showers after 2 days minimumNo face washing or "skincare regimen" of any kind; the only thing that hits my skin is cool water when I shower (and of course washing my hands with soap, but that's it for my skin) My story with detail: Looking back, I realize I started having acne when I started masturbating. Over the next five years, I had many doctors give me all sorts of creams, pills, and so on - it all faile
  10. I’ve just completed my second week on 30mg of isotretinoin/roaccutane. I can summarise this week in one word: DANDRUFF. If you’ve been through or are going through roaccuntane, please let me know how it’s going/gone, I love hearing other people’s stories and tips. Likewise, if anyone has any questions for me feel free to ask away! Day 8 Thursday 27th July I had really dry lips when I woke up this morning. I wore make up today too and although it clung to the dry patches a
  11. Took my 6th 20mg this morning with a glass of milk. Woke up with skin that wasn't significantly dry but I have dandruff! Even though I was aware this pill dried your skin out completely for some reason I didn't really prepare for this. It is itchy, sore and worst of all noticeable and I hope after I wash my hair it won't be as bad. Mood is fine, came on my period today so expecting skin to start getting better soon as it usually does after I've come on my period. Having a house party on Satu
  12. Has anyone experienced itchy, dry, flaky scalp on accutane? I'm getting so much dandruff from it and it doesn't go too well with my dark hair. I'm forced to wash it daily unless I want to make a dandruffy fashion statement. Will this go away, get worse, stay as is? What can I do for it - product recommendations?
  13. I was taking arnica montana for a sports injury and quickly noticed my skin become unusually soft and clear. My chronic dandruff also cleared significantly. Fast forward 3 months and I've been able to sustain the results by taking arnica montana 200ck twice a day. I've continued a fairly clean diet, but do indulge once or twice a week without repercussions. I would love to hear anyone else's experience with arnica?? After searching for a cure for over 15 years (accutane twice) I've
  14. I've been on accutane for 13 days now and I feel like I've already seen a difference, which is amazing. I hope I don't get the big bad initial breakout some people talk about. But I've already been experiencing pretty bad dry scalp and dandruff, I've been using the Garnier Fructis anti- dandruff shampoo which doesn't seem to be working at all. Whats the best anti-dandruff shampoo people have been using?
  15. Hello. Hope everybody gets to read this and contributes to your healing. This is my 2 year journey on doing research on how to heal my KP, ADHD, Back and Neck Acne, Seborrheic dermatitis on face, Dandruff, Intestinal issues like Heart burn, Bloating, Constipation, oh yes and also Insomnia. This are all the cures I have found that have worked for me and some people, I specified which ones worked for me and which ones have worked for others. Remember we are all different but the root cause may be
  16. I am 22 years old and have suffered with acne for about 4 years now (Since after High school). I started off with a few zits here and there that I really paid no mind to. Eventually it started to get worse to the point where I felt ashamed & paid the dermatologist a visit & I was prescribed Minocycline as a result. I felt like this antibiotic was a blessing sent from the lord himself until I postponed my use of it to see if I needed it anymore, My acne came back more vicious than ever. I
  17. Hey guys, so ive been on accutane for roughly 3 weeks and can see a noticable amount of dandruff or what i believe to be dandruff. I went out and bought neutrogena T-get shampoo and a nice moisturizing conditioner but it doesnt seem to be working too well. My hair was oily before accutane but i can see a huge difference in less oil production in my hair. I was wondering if any of you have had this same problem and would like to reccommend some shampoos that will do a good job moisturi
  18. I've had dandruff for more than 10 years on my scalp, but that's not the topic today. Some dandruff has started appearing 3 weeks ago on my eyebrows and below them. Then I saw flaky, dandruffy-lskin on my nose (as you can see). Today I noticed something an inch away from my nose.... what is that? Acne or dandruff? What to do about it?
  19. Fell asleep yesterday with very very minor chest pain. Like it only last 3 seconds and hurt a tiny bit.. it's inside my ribcase, this wierd throbbing pain. Should I be concerned or am I just paranoid?! Haha anyways. My face is awesomely matte all day!! A little peely at times but nothing Cetaphil can't handle. I'm still producing oil, especially around my nose, and I do get a little sheen on my face after I put on the Cetaphil, but NOTHING like before. I just need to make myself stop pickin
  20. I had literaly just written about 500 words about my trials and tribulations with acne..Not doing it again but here are my coles notes. - oily face, dandruff scalp - have beee having continuous acne over the last decade - tried OCM... combination of Grapeseed and castor oil. This cleared me up, made my skin really soft. I altered the mix and added jojoba which was suposed to be great for scalp and skin. Also used jojoba treatment on scalp. At the same time I also did the NO shampoo thi
