  3. Hi!!!! So I'm not sure what happened, but some of the skin on my left cheek started to become really dry, rough and leathery to the touch & darker than the rest of my skin. The pores on this patch used to be much more pronounced, but I'm not sure if its going away or just changing look. This has been a problem for 2 weeks! I've always had bad skin; but never discolored and rough. I'm thinking I overexfoliated & damaged the new skin with tea tree oil (i never seem to dilute it enough!!) A
  4. Hello there. Currently i’m 15 years of age. I’ve had acne since probably age 12. I’ve used many over the counter products such at BP and minocycline and all this other stuff. When i first got on BP (benzoyl peroxide) I just slathered that stuff on my face. For the past 2 years my skin has been pretty darn red, dry, super sun sensitive, and irritated. To me it looks super bad and it’s kind of depressing. I kept using BP cuz if i stopped then my face would breakout. I do not have cystic acne or ba

In case of TLDR, I was wondering (hoping, really) whether anyone else has been through years of harsh acne treatments and found a product, foodstuff or regimen of any sort that helped them recover fully or at least partially? Over 18 years and a gamut of registered physicians and dermatologists, I was prescribed, and thus took a crazy amount of acne treatments. I can't remember all of them, but several were
  6. Hello. So over the past year or so, I have overused a bunch of harsh products on my face trying to get rid of acne, and basically ruined my barrier and damaged my skin. My face is always red, dehydrated, is sensitive, and I still get mild acne with some cysts. I recently used Epiduo for about 3 months, and it didn't completely get rid of my acne and the bp was too harsh for me, but I noticed that (the adapalene I presume), really evened out my skin tone, faded hyperpigmentation, and softened my
  7. so about two years ago i started to break out really bad. My dermatologist perscribed me many things included a tretinoin gel. I used it daily on my cheeks and chin to treat and prevent break outs, but i feel like the areas i put it on have damaged my skin. I am always in the sun in the summer and the areas the tretinoin had gone just completely burned, not tanned like the rest of my face. Now two years later i only use the tretinoin once in a while, when i notice a pimple, but in all the places
