  1. I said that I would post my current skin after showing you how bad my acne was in my last blog post. Anyways here’s my skin on month two! It’s a huge improvement from the pictures I posted the other day❤️ Does anyone know how I can get rid of my acne scars or help them fade while on acutane????
  2. A month later, drained cyst had refilled slightly so I ended up taking co amoxalave 302mg x3 a day for 14 days and augmentin 250x3 for 14 days. These antibiotics where pretty strong and so helped clear up the rest of my acne pretty effectively. Although It being a quick fix I was pleased with this. I found a warm compress helped fluid drain internally and much of the inflammation was just fluid and not pus. all the smaller marks are just red marks and purple marks, not actual acne. I had d
  3. Went to the Dermatologist 17 days ago but I was waiting to see how my face would be after receiving several steroid shots in my face! WTF! Those pesky ones on my left cheek just wouldn’t go away and the Derm suggested steroid shots to help them heal. I got 3 or 4 injections…and a couple of them did sting. Took almost a full week and those pesky ones finally went away! I feel a lot better and look a lot better! Also wanted to wait to post to see what would happen when that time of the mont

No whiteheads on my chin Just like yesterday my skin was quite dry and flakey. Dryness around my pimples Not as dry around my eyes as yesterday (improvement!) Day 5

Day 5 - Sunday 4th February Took 2 x 20mg pills after brunch. Skin has some dry patches on it, not sure if that is the accutane or its the spot cream that I have applied. Spot on side of my nose squeezed again this morning, few other little sore bumps around my chin and lower cheeks, but nothing major, will have to see if they turn into their usual big and sore selves. Feeling crappy still today but thinking I have a throat infection or tonsillitis, my mum read somewhere that accutane lowe
  6. Hi there guys I was just wondering if someone could tell me what severity of acne I have. I have had acne since I was about 12-13 much worse than it is now. Currently I use epiduo every night with aveeno moisturiser afterwards and I use a black pore mask once a week. However despite this I continue to suffer with large red pimples under the skin that are painful and take a long time to go away. Does anyone have any tips to help get rid of these because they make me extremely unhappy and make me

    forehead acne

i'm 14 and i've had acne for at least 7 months now, at first it was a mixture of pimples on my cheeks, chin, forehead etc but it was very light acne - more of teenage breakouts but for the past 7 or so months i've had acne specifically on my forehead, which i think is cystic acne? i've tried so many things and read up about it so much - i've tried different skin care like tea tree and so forth but unfortunately it just dried my skin out so much to the point it was crispy which was really gros
  8. Well, I had a long summer in the sun and a few months back at school with no back acne at all and close to no facial acne. It was great! But of course, I'm back. Back has about 3 big spots and some small bumps on my neck. While my face has 4 or 5 small bumps and one HUGE cystic bump on my chin. My chin has always been a problem area, and now its starting up again. I don't know why my acne is awful during winter...i'm guessing becaues of the lack of vitamin D, but here I am again, with acne.
  9. Someone please help! I am so desperate… Ill give you a brief history of my acne story. I started getting one or two pimples in 6th grade and its progressed as I got older. At the time they were small and easy to cover up with powder. Towards the end of 8th grade I woke up one day with a patch of pimples down my cheek.. I thought it was a rash.. So that basically began the struggle I have till this day a Senior in high school. My acne is different from lots of pimples because a lot of ti

  11. Hello all! I'm starting this blog because I believe I've reached a new low with my overall skin condition. Let's start with my skin history. I had perfect skin up until the seventh grade when I would get the odd pimple here and there. But it was just one pimple or two. Nothing that I would get too crazy about. Then around 11th grade I noticed a lot of new closed comedones. I was still a "newbie" in the acne game and I was just confused as to what these little devils were. They weren't blatently
  12. Hi everyone, So I am 10 days into the Regimen. I've experienced a fair amount of dryness, as promised. I haven't tried the jojoba oil because I'm afraid to add oil to my skin, but I have used lots and lots of moisturizer. I've been especially dry on my chin and around my mouth. I've been pretty impressed by Dan's treatment --- it dries clear, is really lightweight, and allows me to put on my make-up after moisturizer without it looking fake or strange. The big cyst on my right cheek is
  13. Bare with me. Its a long story over 8-10 years of knowledge but I hope this helps someone. #Skin RE-CLOGGING ITSELF endlessly My acne slowly slowly started when I was 12 and atm im 22 (first with bumps and pus filled ones and at 20 years oled they were deep big under skin cysts- it was a stressful time w bad relationship/ I ate very much processed food and oils and dairy). At 16 I was on birth control for half a year which didnt help acne and my whole body hated it (depression, low energy, br
  14. I'm new here, but i'm in desperate need of advice, and I just need to speak out about my experience suffering from acne. See, like alot of you, i suffered with severe cystic acne. I lived with it for a year, and i had to go on Accutane to get rid of it, however it seems that the deep scarring and redness that results from such severe cases has barely changed my situation. Although many of you have also suffered from severe acne, I feel that after reading some threads on how acne has affected p

    Day 20

Day 20 - Entry's gonna be long. Topic 1: minocycline side effects Topic 2: what I picked on my face Topic 3: pimple updates Topic 4: vitamin c horrors Skip around haha ----------- I started off today feeling super tired and very crappy. I was a bit depressed, especially about my skin. It felt hopeless... I didn't know why but then I realized its probably my antibiotics every since I switched from solodyn brand to the generic minocycline, I started feeling super tired... more than I
  16. Hello everyone! I'm new here but really hoping someone has had similar experiences or has an idea of something that may help me. I've had acne since I was 12 or 13, so at least 7 years. I've tried salicylic acid, Rodan + Fields (the Unblemish line and the Soothe line), some Korean treatment for acne + sensitive skin (which actually sometimes seemed to help), essential oils/tea tree oil (used to help more than it does now), various face masks, acne creams, antibiotics, etc. and now using Young
  17. Ok guys .. so I'm on my second week of tretinoin and my skin just gets WORSE AND WORSE and I'm crying everyday and not going out anymore . I don't have much drying anymore . 18. Hi all! im just here to share my acne story with anyone who is willing to listen. I didnt have acne until i was 19 and it hit me like a train. i dont have any pictures of when it started because i didnt take any. I was so ashamed. But i do have one 2 months after i started my routine. My acne had already started reducing a bit (it was muuuucccchh worse a month before) and within 6 months it had gone. So i have a few tips for those going through what i went through. 1. Dont pick at your s
  19. In desperate need of any advice!! I had to stop taking birth control in November due to significant issues with depression, and my skin was doing pretty well up until 2-3 months ago when it started to all of a sudden become worse than it has ever been. I've been using 3% adapalene on my face in addition to Curology mix (azelaic acid, zinc pyrithione, clindamycin mix) and my face is NEARLY clear with only occasional breakouts on my jawline, which I can deal with. My face has never been so clea
  20. Hello all! I am new to the community but I have a few questions.. I have pretty light cystic acne that is hormonal caused by my IUD. I am 18 years old and have light skin. I have some scars but not a ton. Overall, my skin is pretty good but I get new cyst break outs about every 2 weeks and frequently have to get shots in them. I currently use AktiPak and have been on it for a few months. It has reduced my cyst breakouts to about 3 large cysts a month. Recently my dermatologist gave me Reti
  21. Hi, I have dealt with acne a little bit in high school, but not really in college. I am 22 now and have been dealing with a breakout within a square inch on my face for over a month now and I do not know what is going on. I think it started from mistreating a regular pimple, but now I continue to breakout in this one little area and it seems like as soon as one goes away, another one comes. I can have anything from 3-7 in that one little area. I have this one part of the area that is hard
  22. Hi, I am 26yo male. I have been using La Roche Posay Effeclar duo Benzyol Peroxide for a few years. Before starting the regimen, my acne was very mild. I had grown out of the worst of my teenage acne by that point. I guess I wanted perfection. For the past few years, using BP, my skin has been relatively clear, but I now have fine lines and sun damage due to the BP. So, a few months ago, I decided to quit BP cold turkey (not realizing that was a horrible idea). My skin has been getting worse and
  23. I'm 20 now and have been taking antibiotics since I was 13... Honestly feel like I've tried everything so any help appreciated. Been on Lymecycline, Erythromycin, Roaccutane for 8 months (this 100% worked but my skin got INSANELY bad before it got better and don't really want to go on that again, even if I am tempted). I've used pretty much every topical cream prescription under the sun, and have tried Kefir regime for 2 months but this didn't seem to do anything. I am currently o
  24. i finally finished my accutane and my skin was clear for a month or two and now i'm back to breaking out in bad cysts. why does this stuff always happen to me?? i'm sick and tired of this. i thought maybe i could stay cleared up and have a normal social life but i guess not. i just wish this would go away. i want to enjoy life and BE HAPPY. i don't want be in the same mess as last year.
  25. So my dermatologist has had me on Epiduo Forte and Solodyn for 13 days now, and it's been working great for my acne (cystic and closed comedones). Backstory: my forehead had been the worst the areas since 6 months ago when this all started. So all the products/treatments I tried mainly concentrated there. I still put makeup on the lower half of the face, but never on the forehead. and when my skin started to get better, I wanted to give a bit of concealer or even foundati
