  1. Hi. I've been on a diet (full diet that's now complete.) which is basically avoiding all foods I am intolerant to, which I got a test done and I'd been having a fair bit of them. But they have ALL been cut out for the past 3 days. No, I'm not having junk food, such as Mcdonalds, soft drinks etc, a lot of protein and vegetables and snacks that aren't bad. I've been following what my nutritionist has been telling me to do. And I take vitamin supplements as well btw. Anyway, I've been seeing her
  2. Hey, my name is Evert! i turned 16 in November. i've never had bad acne, but less than a half a year ago i started to get these blemishes on my cheeks. no bumps. about 2 months ago it started to get a bit more noticeable specially on my right cheek, but still nothing bad. even when i talked about it with my friends they told me that i'm stupid and it's not even close to bad. But i still thought it was horrible so i started using face-wash every morning and evening that was it. later on it got a
  3. Hello, Just wanted some advice on the acne topical called Tazorac. I have had very good results with Retin-A MICRO 0.1% for the past three months, but my dermatologist has insisted that a use Tazorac cream 0.1% instead. Any advice on what I should expect? Is it going to cause another Initial breakout? Is it going to bring back the dryness that came with Retin-A for the first few weeks? Any advice would be helpful; I just started my new job yesterday and definitely want to keep my skin lookin
  4. It's been a little over 2 months now of Retin A and I'm really happy with how it's going now. My skin adjusted nicely and I'm looking forward to seeing it improve even more with continued use. I cover a lot more details in the video below if you are interested. Also, my diet has been very beneficial for my skin. Between my clean eating and using Retin A, my skin is in wonderful shape right now. Retin A Micro .1% - 8 Week Update: My Acne Story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz8
  5. Hello! So I recently switched up my regimen because my other one was just simply washing with a gentle wash and thats it.. it wasn't giving me the consistent skin I'm looking for.. Now I've been using a couple things. - Washing with Vichy 3-1 scrub (I pat it on, only actually exfoliate with it 2-3x a week) I pat it on morning and night. Its clay, glycolic and salicylic acid. - Toning cheek and nose pores with simple toner (mostly witch hazel) - Spot treating with 100% aloe gel on new
  6. Hello,i've recently bought Nivea Soft Milk Body Lotion as a Moisturizer to use after applying benzoyl peroxide. It doesn't say "not comedogenic" but a pharmacist offered to me as a really good moisturizer for the whole body and for acne prone skin. It's feels good, not to thick or to light, skin absorbs it really fast and it doesn't make me super greasy or oily. It just fixs the over dryness. These are the ingredients Aqua,Paraffinum Liquidum,Glycerin,Cetearyl Alcohol,Glyceryl Stereate Cit

  8. Does anyone know where you can get BP gel in the UK? The only thing i have found anywhere is Quinoderm 10 cream which is far too drying for me. Everywhere i have read online 2.5% seems to be discontinued, unavailable or fake which is a nightmare. Just seeing if there was a cheaper option before i order the acne.org when i get paid.x
  9. Recently, a family member bought me Clean and Clear Advantage Oil Absorbing Cream Cleanser and Clean and Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Reviving Cleanser as a gift. I had a bad experience in the past with Clean and Clear, because I used it about a year ago, my skin always burned and I had marks/rashes on parts of my face. I imagine that it was an allergic reaction. So I was a bit apprehensive when my family member bought this for me. But I didn't want to be rude and not use it. I used it, a
  10. WHICH IS BEST TO USE BP 2.5% CREAM OR THE BP 5% FACE WASH? Ive been using the cream for about 5 months now.
  11. Hi everyone, just a question to help narrow down a product that is right for my skin. I have extremely sensitive dehydrated oily skin which is prone to small breakouts. Over the years I have been on benzoyl peroxide cream and the duac daily gel as well the antibiotics of which I have forgotten the name, tetraclyine I believe. Anyhow this was over 3 years ago now and my skin has dramatically improved. But These products have drastically dehydrated my skin also. I use aveeno products to was
  12. I'm dealing with hormonal-based cystic acne at the age of 41, due to having stopped taking oral birth control 13 months ago. My body is in flux and I just am trying to keep up with my skin's (hormones') overreaction to everything that I eat. I've read that some people can reduce the size of a cyst by applying a topical Cortisone treatment; sadly, everything I see available--e.g., Cortizone cream and gel--contain at least one ingredient that seemingly would irritate an already inflamed cyst, if
  13. I've been on the regimen for almost 3 months, results have been fairly good. I can definately say the regimen works, if you stick with it and STAY persistent. I'm pretty much clear, just a couple of pimples. I've now got these hyperpigmentation marks where my acne was previously, it's kinda bugging me. You get clear skin and now there's more to deal with. I've bought this Ambi fade cream for normal skin, which i've heard alot of positive reviews about. What are your opinions on this produc

Alba Botanica Aloe & Green Tea Oil Free Moisturizer has anyone else had any experience with this lotion i tried it once and it was light and moisturizing .. how is it long term? http://www.amazon.com/Alba-Botanica-Moisturizer-Hawaiian-3-Ounce/dp/B001ET7BPS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1324357327&sr=8-2
  15. im 27 year old girl and my acne is mild to moderate at times - hormonal i think, but I am really tired of having bad skin at my age. My dermatologist has given me a prescription for very low dose of Roaccutane (10mg) to take but i am really reluctant to do this after lots of research , since there seem to be so many side effects some apparently which can stay with you forever. in any case my acne is thankfully not as bad as a lot of people's but it does really get me down at my age to always ha
  16. I highly doubt they would. I've never seen it before. Girls would pick an obese man over a guy with acne and scars and I don't mean a pimple or two but an entire face marred in acne and deeply inflamed. I'm about to be 21 and never kissed a girl because of the way I look. I know that's the reason. I slowing accepting the fact that I'm going to have to see a prostitute sometime.
  17. Have just been told that UK has almost no Skinoren in any pharmacies as manufacturer isn't sending it out and it could be months before we get any. I'm planning to buy some on the net in the meantime in case it is a while before I can get some on prescription again and my GP is hoping that he can prescribe me the next best thing. Will this be Finacea gel, do you think? I know they both have Azelaic acid in them but I thought that Finacea is mainly used for Rosacea, not acne?
  18. Hello! I've read some of these posts before but now I have a question that has not already been answered here. I'm 16 and I have what I think is moderate acne. I just started my period over the summer and suddenly have bad skin, when it used to be pretty much completely clear. I usually get spots (and have old red marks...) on my cheeks, chin, and jawline now and it really doesn't look nice. So, I decided to go to the dermatologist 3 months ago where he gave me "Adapalene cream 0.1%" to

    Exfoliation Cream?

Anyone know a good cream to exfoliate the face? Does it even help with acne? I get pimple about an inch below my lower lip on each corner of my chin, no where else. Looking to purchase something at wal mart. Thanks
  20. Is there any over the counter medication that can help me get rid of the age spots on my face? There are not many of them but they are there. I saw one large one in a photo. I know I have to wear sun screen every day. I'm going to make sure I keep on doing that. But what about other avenues to take? I know my DW had an age spot on her skin that is not gone after she started using a certain skin regiment. I know, ask her. But I would rather ask you guys.
  21. I've ordered the AHA+ cream from acne.org to start the regimen and I chose to order that instead of the other regular cream because I have red scarring and hoped that would help. But now I'm second guessing my decision. Do you use the AHA cream as your regular cream? Or should it be used sparingly? If it's sparing, how often do you use it?
  22. Many ppl tell me to use facial scrubs to clear all the dead skin cell or what not to help prevent breakin out. but.... once i do a wash, my skin just gets so dry that it makes more dead skin cells and actualy cloggs my pores even more, because my skin gets so dry and it flaks out. Then i apply a moisterizer ,but it actualy get worse too , ahahhaha. Don't know if I'm right, but dead skin cell or dirt + oil or any moisterizer = pimples ( because it cloggs the pores) thats what happens to
  23. Hi all, Sometimes when my acne flares up and I wash my face, the whitehead or root of the acne rises to the surface and sometimes grows. In some cases, after washing my face, the whitehead or root will fall out of the spot leaving a hole in my face. I wondered whether anyone had any tips on what I should do about this, whether it be applying a topical cream or just leaving it to heal. It’s like when you squeeze a spot but I don’t squeeze them, the root of the spots come out naturally and I’m w
