  1. What are the best essential oils for moderate to severe acne breakouts? Which ones worked best for you? How much did they cost? where did you buy them? so on and so forth. Lets put our heads together and find some solutions. I should have added that I like Tea Tree Oil.
  2. I am so itchy. This must be penance for an evil deed I did over the weekend. Or I could be having an allergic reaction. Either way I need to handcuff myself to my desk so I don’t scratch all the skin off my back. The reaction started a couple of days ago, but at first I was paranoid it was a fresh crop of spots (it looks somewhat similar to when I started breaking out) so kept applying the Epiduo. And now it’s not improved I’m concerned it might be that that I’m irritated/allergic to. I have
  3. I have used many different acne medications over the years- epiduo, Retin A, solvere gel (benzoyl peroxide), aczone (in 2 different concentrations), and now, differin. I have also been in the past on doxycycline (only for a few months) along with using topical treatments, and my dermatologist is now having me take niacinamide twice a day in addition to using aczone (7.5%) and differin (0.3%). I tend to get cysts on my chin and forehead, as well as occasionally in between my eyebrows and on my ch

    Alternate Bp

Tonight I decided, on a bit of a whim, to try using some of the BP I used before I started the Regimen. It's 10% BP gel from CVS, and the ingredients aren't great (plus it's 10% instead of 2.5%), but I have this feeling that I'm not going to react to it as much as the Acne.org BP. It's the stuff I started out with on this mission to desensitize my skin to BP. I put on all little more than I was using of the Acne.org BP. We'll see what happens; if I don't react I'll keep using it and perhaps the

    Uh-Oh...

Ok, last night I got a little carried away... I'm trying to be really really reeeeeally patient and not use too much BP, since my skin needs to completely readjust to it. Anyway, last night I put on perhaps a little more than I ought to have done, and this morning I have two areas of fairly irritated skin that resemble the rash I got when I was reacting to the BP the first time. They don't seem to be too terribly irritated, but they do itch and they feel a little numb, so I don't think I can wri
  6. The last week has been hell....after suffering a acne flare up I decided to try tea tree oil which I ended up having pretty bad reaction to!! What started as an itchy red rash went into swelling with weeping blistered skin....on top on the acne that was already there....i felt really awful to say the least but now thanks to another docs trip and alot of savlon im alot better. Warning to all...do not use tea tree oil neat!!! This could happen....its alot more powerful than u think!!! Thanks for r
  7. Hello! I have been a long-time acne sufferer, but thankfully, most of it is now under control. But recently, I had a horrible flare-up of contact dermatitis that made my face all blotchy, rashy, and bumpy. I have the rashes and redness under control now, for the most part, thanks to Vanicream. But I still have these hard, slightly red bumps crowding my entire chin! These came out of nowhere around the same time I got contact dermatitis. These bumps are mostly flesh colored, but the area whe
  8. Hello Everyone, This is my first post. I have had these spots since Feb 2016 and I honestly have NO CLUE what it is or why they are still there/why they keep flaring up? (Second photo the darker spots are the acne I am referencing - I may of aggravated it by itching!) I dont know what triggered it - I have had relatively clear skin over the years ( I am 29) acne here and there but this time I decided to try "Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay with ACV" a few times - but then around the same

    Greetings, Internet.

Good morning to anyone who decides to read this. I've decided to start this little blog because of some difficulties that I've been having with the Regimen that I'd like to share. I've had moderate acne since about age... 14. I got acne when I was 12, but it was pretty mild at first. In its undisturbed state, my skin is pretty oily, I sweat a lot, and I'm fairly pale so I burn if I don't wear sunscreen. Over the years, I've used BP, salicylic acid, clindamycin, Retin-A, tea tree oil, su
  10. at times i get these sudden reddish areas which itch(slightly or more) and is all raised(over an area) /bumpy. i am told its dermatitis of some kind(by mates here!). although i have kept track of my food and other aspects,i'm yet to figure out the sure-shot cause. it could be anything, really - water, food, stress or i-don't-know-what!! (i've taken cough syrup with chlorphenamine in it along with other cough suppressing ingredients) kindly recommend a good anti-histamine with minimum

  13. Okay this is only going to be a quick update to make sure I don't fall too far behind, and to act as an incentive for my spotty friends to blog. Following on from the issue of allergic reaction/irritation, this was me by about 2 am on Monday night: Schematic depicting extent of discomfort resulting from contact dermatitis. Subject was medicated with antihistamines (Phenergan 25 mg), which succeeded in subduing symptoms significantly. So I have a shower and become intolerably itchy (ev
  14. I was prescribed tactupump forte by a dermatologist. I'm a redhead and have naturally very sensitive skin. My dermatologist was aware of that. I started using it every second night for about a week and I developed what seems to be contact dermatitis around my mouth. Many little pustules, pain, itching and redness. Can't even cover with makeup. It was hard for me to smile and even open my mouth fully. Had this rash for 5 long days so far and haven't applied the cream for 6 days. It's ho
  15. last night one this place itched a lil' and became red (looked inflammed).i applied some faceclin gel(clindamycin + nicotinamdie gel) and next morning seemed alright. just a lil' irritated but still alright. but this evening, the same place again started getting itchy and went red and the area seemed raised and bumpy. faceclin gel applied again this time. but the itchiness and redness remained for longer time. finally it left bump red skin which when touched feels like a underskin cyst formi
