  1. Hello. This is my first post to the forums. I'm a 30 year old male and I've had a problem with my nose for twelve years now. The pores on my nose are enlarged due to oiliness and the extraction of blackheads during that time. However, for over a year now I've experienced another problem on top of that. A layer of dead skin forms on top of my oily nose which further clogs the pores and enlarges them even more. Whenever I exfoliate the dead skin, my nose becomes a massive oil slick and less than t
  2. Hi! (sorry for the disgusting pictures above) I've had acne on my cheeks for at least a year now, not even a day of clear skin. They never ever go away, only once has my skin completely cleared up for a month maybe, two years ago, after a really harsh acne treatment, but then it broke out again and when I tried using the same regimen that helped me in the past, the improvement was not there. The acne hasn't moved a bit until then. I believe I have combination skin, with a very oily T zone, but

    My Acne Journey

Hey everyone, i just wanted to share my acne story with you. I don't have much of a story except I've been dealing with acne on and off for most of my adult years, for the past year and a half it has been clear until my husband recently passed away and I've been really depressed, so I'm guessing that's why it's like this, after he died it got really bad and then it healed with some hyperpigmentation left behind of course, but now its just up and down so I'm hoping the Regimen will clear it up an
  4. Hey guys, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out, for about 3 years now I've had these weird bumps under my skin, it is rare that I will ever get a pimple that comes to a head, if I have a pimple it will only appear if I've been picking at my skin, touching it too much or wearing heavy or cheap makeup. These pimples will only turn red and have a soft bump underneath the skin and if I do try to squeeze it only a small amount of pus would come out (gross I know) Anyways, my face for the
  5. So I know there are a millions threads specific to flesh colored bumps, but I just had to share my own since everyone is different. Backstory: I've had mild-moderate acne since I was 15 years old (I'm now 20). The worst case happened at 18-19 where I broke out horribly on my cheeks and this acne was stubborn as heck. It was red, big, and left marks. Fortunately, the acne.org regimen did wonders and cleared my face up along with the hyperpigmentation! A year later, my forehead is still kind of
  6. Nothing Too Yah

    Nothing I've tried is working

Here is my journey and everything you need to know about me. Please help me out guys. If anybody has similar experience with similar skin, I would greatly appreciate it. <3 SKIN TYPE: Sensitive, (Very) Acne-prone, Oily Skin, Seasonal Acne. -My skin loves the summer and I barely breakout during the summer. My skin seems extremely less sensitive in the summer. I only use a cerave wash and cetaphil facial lotion in the summer and I'm good. Once Fall hits, I start breaking out crazily and my
  7. Growing up as a teenager I had horrid acne. Both my parents were acne sufferers so it was only natural. Now I'm a 24 year old woman that has grown tired! In my earlier 20's acne had subsided and I had clear skin. Recent years on my chin and left and right chin area it has re appeared! I never know what to use, everything breaks me out. I just want to be that girl that doesn't have to wear foundation! It's not super bad acne. But it's just a constant pimple problem and I mess with them and then t
  8. Hi all, I’ve been reading lots on this site recently and it’s really helped me feel like I’m not alone in my struggle with acne as someone in their mid-twenties (25), though it feels like everyone around me has perfect skin and I never grew out of the teenage phase! I wondered if anyone has any good tips for products/regimes that have helped with extremely sensitive skin? To give you an idea, if I scratch/rub even the smallest area of my skin anywhere on my body, it will be bright red for a
  9. So I really want to know if there’s anything that actually causes a change in my skin and to these closed comedones that work. So I have previously used the Paulas choice 2% BHA but I feel like that made my skin dry and there wasn’t any change in the comedones. (I feel like they won’t budge!!! Ugh they are stubborn) and acurrently i am using the Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid and it’s my second day so obviously there’s no change at all yet. But is there any product recommendations for these
  10. It has been 3 months already. I never had any blackhead problem but in november i tried black head extraction with the black head extractor and steam to get rid of few white heads i had and it became the biggest mistake of my life. The extraction was done roughly and was pressed hard on my nose. After that i am left with holes on my nose !! Which is okay without makeup but when i apply makeup no matter what technique i use the pores seem to be the highlight of my face. This has caused so much

    Sebum As A Cleanser?

Hey I'm new here, (29 y/o male) but wanted to share something that, for me, has cleared my acne, evened out skin tone, moisturized, cleansed, tightened pores by a whole lot and is rly just amazing. The funny thing is...it was right in front of my face literally. For the past month I have read research on skin, products, function and makeup of sebum, lifestyle of ancient civilizations and Ive even observed animals and how they clean themselves. I know its strange but ive learned alot about health
  12. I have mild acne and large pores from coconut oil. I was on acne.org's regimen but I didn't like the BP and I did my research and leaned it was horrible for your skin in the long run. So I bumped into TTO. I mixed it with witchhazel and applied on my face as a toner. For some reason, I ditched the witch hazel and added tea tree oil in she butter as a moitsturizer. Then I stopped that and then started adding TTO on my skin by itself before apply AHA. OMG my skin is soooooooo dry now. I have oil/c
  13. Can anyone recommend a good toner? I have combination skin that tends to clog easily. I have hormonal acne as well and very irritated skin. I'd like the toner to: 1. have glycolic acid in it. 2. Not clog my pores 3. Not irritate my skin (I've used the proactive toner and it didn't break me out or irritate me. Is there something similar, but better for your skin?)

    Large Pores, tiny acne

I've had acne since I was in fourth grade, it was very mild back then but then when middle school came I started using this product. It opened up my pores and my pores were large and noticeable, especially on my cheeks. I have these tiny holes all over my face and some have white stuff in them but that's by my eyes. I'm pretty sure these are pores but I don't know how to make them smaller or unnoticeable. They are everywhere on my face, my nose, my forehead. It's basically everywhere where my ac
  15. Hi. I have acne prone combination skin. I just recently purchased Shea Moisture African Black Soap for Acne and Problem skin. I wanted to know if anyone here has tried this product and how it worked for them. Also what is a good moisturizer to use with this product? I have been using a 10% benzoyl peroxide cleanser prior to this and I wanted to use something that wasn't loaded with chemicals and see how it takes to my face so if anyone has used this product how long did it take to see results a
  16. Hi I am currently using Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. It works but dries out my skin. Can somebody please recommend me a good moisturizer to use that will moisturize my face well after using benzoyl peroxide? Also normally I have combination skin oily t zone but benzoyl peroxide makes my face dry after use.
  17. So, after having acne for around 8 years now, I can honestly say I have no idea if my skin is dry, oily or combo. Reason being, I use moisturizer(moderately) but I always seem to be overly oily...but the reason I use moisturizer is because I use Dan's BP (and have for 6 years now) and it dries me out. ** I've actually not been using Dan's BP on my entire face for about 5 months now, just on my forehead and T-Zone is STILL dry/flakey yet shiney and oily.... So honestly, my skin looks dry a
  18. Hi everyone, So I never had any acne issues. But now I'm 20 yrs old and have been dealing with stubborn forhead acne for over a year. In high school I would get a few tiny pimples here and there but that's it. Last winter I was away in Costa Rica and all of a sudden my forhead broke out like craZy. No idea what caused this, and there was pretty much nothing I could do to fix it. Randomly, after basically giving up, my acne went away in every fall and winter me I ha s totally clear in. Now thi

    Before Starting The Regimen

I have combination skin, even though recently i've been thinking it's more towards oily. I wash my face with warm water twice a day, and by noon my T-zone becomes reflective from all the oil. My most problematic area at the moment is around my mouth. On each side of my lips are around ten small red bumps, along with scars of previous pimples in that area. every few days some go away and fade into red marks, and others emerge in their place. Above my upper lip, i tend to get an extremely large wh

    Acne For 5 Years Help

I have had acne for 5 years. it's not severe, but it is definitley not moderate. nothing seems to work for my skin, not even prescription topical gel. I have normal/combination skin but acne medicine makes the spots where I have acne dry and flaky. I get whiteheads a lot and I know I shouldn't pop them, but I can't help it. they look so awful, but when I pop them they just come back. I wear makeup, but nothing covers my acne at all. ANY SUGGESTIONS IM DESPERATE
  21. I’m 19. I didn’t have bad acne growing up, mostly just blackheads on my nose. I would say I have combination skin because it’s oily on my forehead and chin, but fairly normal everywhere else. However, for the last year, I’ve had a moderate amount of ance on my chin. Everywhere else on my face is completely clear, save for the occasional clogged pore on my cheeks. The acne is literally just on my chin. It isn’t deep cystic acne, they look more like white-heads. The only time my chin clears
  22. Hello. What you need to know: - I have mostly dry skin and sometimes my t-zone will be oily. - Very acne-prone and sensitive. Haven't found a moisturizer that works for me. - Started using Desert Essence 100% pure Jojoba oil yesterday - Overnight and today I have gotten lots of clogged pores and tiny pimples all over my face. - My acne scars/redness did seem to fade though. - The Jojoba oil definitely feels greasy on me and does not seem to observe well. - It is almost as if the Jojob

  24. So I have combination skin, and mild acne. I wash my face twice a day with gentle hand soap. I moisturize (using a small bottle of Neutrogena's Sensitive Skin Moisturizer with Sunscreen that I had already, but it's running out) about once a day, and at night use a light lotion on my face (in the winter only). My first question is; if I wash twice a day, but moisturize/lotion as well, will that dry out my face/produce too much oil? My second question is; what are some good homemade moisturize
  25. i have combination skin--fairly oily t-zone, extremely dry/flaky from my jawline and down the sides of my neck, which is where i have the most acne. i've started and stopped the regimen twice over the last three months (i kept trying to get away with 10% bp... not recommended. it was worse than any sunburn i've ever had, without going into the sun) but i finally found 2.5% bp at CVS, so i started again. i started on monday, and i've been applying a glob of bp (about the size shown in the reg
