  1. APRIL 2017: After two months of weekly sessions with my local Chinese doctor, my skin looks CLEAR and radiant! I used to have mild acne (extremely oily skin with blackheads, whiteheads and 2-3 painful cysts everyday) mainly on my cheeks and temples but also on jaw, behind my ears and on my back. I suffered with acne for 17 years and tried everything: the regime, Retin-A, Roaccutane (for 1 year), antibiotics, the pill, Implanon (5 years), sulphur, tea tree oil, baking soda, turm
  2. Which one is more effective in terms of helping the skin? All I know is that non-fermented cod liver oil (Carlson's Cod LIver Oil capsules) is way less expensive.
  3. Back again... Yay. for the past month i have been showering my body and face with ONLY water and washing my hair with shampoo as normal but being careful not to get it in places i have acne (top of arms and chest) now i think this has helped a LITTLE but only with inflammation because i still have pretty much the same amount of acne on my arms and chest and still getting pimples in those areas, the same as when i was using body wash... So im going to carry on doing this but now in conjunction
  4. Hi all. So I was on accutane back in 2013 with great success. However, back in November I had a breakout that was a little worse than usual. I wasn't too worried because I tend to get these in a very minor form still a week or so before my time of the month. However, at the same I had been to see a doctor because I was having issues with painful periods, bad PMS etc and she recommended that if I wanted a natural solution I should try Evening Primrose Oil. I started taking these with grea
  5. Hello, I am a 26 year old male with extremely oily skin, scalp, but dry body and lips. I've tried quality fish oil (capsule) and cod liver oil (liquid form) in the past, but my body always responds negatively. Side effects include Breakouts, rashes, and more sebum production. I realize that there are many people like me on this forum and wanted to get some advice on where I should start. Recently, I read that black currant oil, evening primrose oil, and borage oil are good source of G
  6. I'm 23, weigh about 125- 130 lbs and am looking for a cod liver oil supplement to take to help with my acne & general health. I stumbled across this one: http://www.seven-seas.com/products/pure-cod-liver-oil-plus-evening-primrose-oil It has added Evening Primose oil, which I know a lot of women have found helpful for their hormonal acne. Do you think it would be a good idea to try this particular supplement, given that both cod liver oil and evening primrose oil is supposed to be ef
  7. Here''s my old post and background information if you're interested. My regimen: Wash with water only, freely Adapalene 0.1% every night before bad Lysozyme 30mg x1 every morning and night Medocycline 250 mg x2 every morning and night Cod liver oil at least 1800 iu of Vitamin A(Retinol) per day I started using this regimen since Day1 14/4/2015. Acne wasn't inflamed, but mostly non-inflamed bumps. Attached photo taken on Day
  8. A quick question about initial breakouts when cleansing the body. For the past two or so weeks, I have been trying to improve my diet and cleanse out any toxins with the incorporation of veggie smoothies and drinking a lot of water and exercise, and I have also been taking cod liver oil supplements and multivitamins for about a week now. I chose these because they give me a good chunk of vitamin A, D and omega 3. Unfortunately, I am seeing no change in the enormous amount of acne I have, especia
  9. Back in the winter time a read a book about taking large doses of vitamin D3, along with K2 for absorption. I thought it may be the answer to my prayers! I took these supps for a few months, they did help somewhat but not %100. Eventually I just started cod liver oil, a few tsp a day. It has A and D in it. About the same results, maybe a little better. But still not %100 But I laid in the sun for 3 days in a row and it all calmed down and cleared wonderfully. I only want a little bit of a ta
  10. Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't seem to find it. I've had really bad cystic acne from late teens to now late 20s. I've been on Accutane twice and will probably have to go on it a third time. While Accutane does clear it up for maybe 6 months at the most, it always comes back. I've been on all kinds of topical and oral medications, but nothing has cured it. I'm on a diet that eliminates dairy and gluten, and also drink a lot of water and barely have any sugar. Basically, I t
  11. Basically I can keep my acne somewhat under control (never 100% clear) with the use of a BP regimen but i'm still not happy with the fact that my skin is a complete oil slick - no kidding I can see little droplets of oil on my noise 20 minutes after washing my face. So i've decided to get internal and supplement to see if this reduces my oil production in any way. So this is my regimen as of today: TOPICAL Quinoderm 5% Dove Sensitive Beauty Bar Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion INTERNAL Saw Palm
  12. I have struggled for acne longer than I can remember and have finally reached my breaking point. I am reaching out to the community for a little guidance on the situation. I have struggled with some form of acne since I was 18 years old. At 18, I had the worst breakout of cystic acne I have ever experienced over the course of 4 months. After trying several topicals, my derm finally prescribed me Accutane which remedied the problem for about 3 years. From 21 on, my acne slowly began reappea
  13. I have small acne, but I mostly suffer from blackheads, Iv recently started drinking warm lemon water every morning and having a salt wash every morning ? also I do a weekly face mask (de-clog pores) and steam, sometimes twice a week, is this ok and will this get rid of blackheads and small acne? (Btw I also have starting taking cod liver oil with omega 3 and primrose oil)
  14. This writer draws from Weston Price's work to look at tooth decay. The factor X from Weston Price's study was the vitamins found in foods like grass fed butter and fermented cod liver oil (specifically A, D, K). He also says sugar aggravates problems. (Side note: pay close attention to the modern dental theory of "killing bacteria" to prevent decay. Sound familiar?) I've been a long time lurker and there's a lot of talk on here about success on the paleo diet but also a lot of detractors.
  15. Hi I'm new here I'm 25 years old and have had mild to moderate acne for 4 years. I started the regimen about 2 weeks ago. Besides the expected dry flaking red skin, so far it's worked pretty well and I'm very positive this will be work out of me. That being said I've never had chest or back acne in my life and two days ago I woke up covered in spots on my chest and shoulders. They look like pustules of various sizes only a few have tiny white heads. The only thing I can think of is th
  16. So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place... After trying every OTC treatment and home remedy, diet and food elimination, vitamin/mineral supplementation, along with a couple prescribed antibiotics, creams, and prescription grade face washes, I still have mild acne. The last thing I tried before coming to terms with going back to my Dermatologist was Vitamin A (specifically a natural sourced gel capsule derived from Fish Liver Oil - NOT Retinol, etc.). I took 2 pills a day at 25,000 I
  17. Hello, i have oily spot prone skin and asking for help if am taking the correct vitamins. In the morning i take vitamin b5 pantothenic acid complex and vitamin d3 with my breakfast. then afternoon time after a meal i take Cod Liver Oil with omega 3. then just before bed i take Zinc. Am i taking theses okay and could i add anymore into my vitamin diet? Thanks
  18. Hello everyone! So a little background about my acne. I've had moderate acne since I was 13 years old and I am now 18. Ive been to different dermatologists and nothing has really worked for me. The last prescription I had was Retin-A micro I was on it for about 7 months and saw no difference--in fact it got worse. So I stopped. I decided to take the natural route by taking Cod Liver Oil. I bought the capsule form from my local drugstore which is 2500 IU/400 IU. I've been taking 1 pill dail
