  1. Hey y’all, ive had acne my whole life. It’s genetic. The earliest memories I have of my mom is her gouging plugs from her face and by the time I was 13 I was doing the same. My skin has improved from birth control pills, but due to harsh side effects I had to stop. retinol has been very helpful, but I still have flare ups! My issue is the type of acne I have. My pores produce HUGE sebaceous filaments that get inflamed. After a shower I will use a black head remover and the hugest plug
  2. My skin has been relatively clear until the temperature started getting much cooler. Seems like every time this year all my pores and I mean EVERY pore becomes clogged with blackheads. I can even see extremely tiny pores clogged along my jawline (and yes I have a bad habit of analyzing every inch of my skin) which have been causing painful whiteheads to form there. I've tried tazaorc at night to clear them, doesn't work. I tried using Paula's choice 2% bha and that had no effect on them so I thi
  3. Bare with me. Its a long story over 8-10 years of knowledge but I hope this helps someone. #Skin RE-CLOGGING ITSELF endlessly My acne slowly slowly started when I was 12 and atm im 22 (first with bumps and pus filled ones and at 20 years oled they were deep big under skin cysts- it was a stressful time w bad relationship/ I ate very much processed food and oils and dairy). At 16 I was on birth control for half a year which didnt help acne and my whole body hated it (depression, low energy, br
  4. Most people out there have acne that's nice enough to dry up on its own with or without acne treatment. A couple of years ago, I just started getting these ridiculously stubborn clogged pores that will never go away no matter what I put on my skin. Also, nothing can prevent them from forming. They are extremely deep and they become inflamed spontaneously. The plugs that I get are huge, solid plugs that are like splinters. People tell me not to squeeze them but if I don't squeeze them out, they w

    Day 28

Day 28 - Same as yesterday, I had to wear full coverage make up so I ended up using my dr. jart bb cream. After I took it off, I had 8 more new clogged pores which I picked out. Got out 7 clean and easy and clear, but one of them I broke skin. Its gonna scab. Ugh. dr jart silver label u are horrible. It doesn't last that long either. it looks good for the first 2 hrs. and then it starts cracking. not flaking, but little tiny cracks everywhere, like a dry desert floor. I think my skin oil dissolv
  6. Hi, Background: I'm a male in the 20's that have had flawless skin up until I turned 19 when I was going through a bad break up and other negative things striking at the same. I started getting skin-colored bumps on my cheeks and I started to pick them but they all became inflamed red cysts that left huge scars. From that point I went through a year of cysts only on my cheeks and awful scarring but started to calm down with time to white heads. Anyways, I started a course of very low dos
  7. Hey, I’m 14 years old supposedly struggling with hormonal acne. I’ve got spots and blackheads on my forehead, acne scars on my cheeks, whiteheads and blackheads on my nose and clogged pores pretty much everywhere. I’ve considered using AHA and BHA peels by The Ordinary as I’ve heard chemical peels really benefit your skin. I was wondering if they really work or if they make things worse. Has anyone tried chemical peels or are there alternatives?
  8. I’m a 19 year old male and I need desperate help in regards to how my face looks... I’ve been trying to get it on track for the past year and have been unable to do so. Very frustrating and my self esteem has really taken a hit. The thing is, I look good from a distance. However, up close I feel/know I look horrible. Here’s my issue: It all happened about a year ago when I got a little bit of acne and starter vigorously using acne products on my face. My face stared to get worse and severely
  9. my dermatologist told me to stop using moisturizer, as he believes it contributes to my acne. he also gave me an oral antibiotic for my acne and two topicals (one for AM one for PM). my skin has become so dry and though i've quit using the topicals for about two or three days now, my face still feels like sandpaper. should i use a moisturizer, like jojoba oil, or should i listen to my dermatologist?
  10. Hey guys, So I'm about 6 weeks on the regimen now, and it's really helped stop the inflamed acne. In the last 2 weeks, I've only had one inflamed spot. I do, however, have a lot of clogged pores on the right side of my cheek, and a few on the left side, and one of them seems to be turning into an inflamed pimple. Are all of these clogged pores going to turn into inflamed acne? I just really don't want to go through another break out, I thought I was done with those after 4 weeks in, when I br

    Bumpy forehead

I'm kind of at my whits end. I've always had great skin, maybe a random pimple around the time of the month. However around last November I wanted to try to go all natural in my skin care. So I started to use a vegetable based soap with tea tree oil and Jude's jojoba and rose hip oil to mosturize. Well apparently over two months my once smooth forehead developed all these freaking bumps. Now since January I've been trying without success to beat them. I'll admit I didn't introduce the products i
  12. Hey guys, I really want to crete a conversation about life after acne (once you cure/temporary fix your acne). This is a topic that is not discussed a lot and i think its important. I have been acne free for 1 year and i no longer have any pigmentation either. I no longer find the need to wear makeup, and i never worry about my skin anymore. I remember when i had acne i was self-conscious and i would tell myself "when i have clear skin i will have no worries." The truth is yes you may not
  13. I had acne for maybe 6-7 years(idk exact years)! after consulting couple of dermatologists/doctors/skin specialists I cure from acne by taking lot of antibiotics & applying topicals. but after got rid of acne I have now (sebaceous filaments/clogged pores/ plugged sebum/ white gunk in the pores) idk what should I call it - for 3 years . I went to skin specialists/doctors/dermatologists but they couldn't get rid of that from me. its almost 1-2 years i'm searching for the solution of this prob

  15. From the album: Isolaz+Laser Genesis

After awhile I feel like it's not getting much better because every time when I do Isolaz, all the active acne would be flatten for 2-3 days. After that new pimples emerge from the remaining close comedones. It's like a never ending cycle. Plus my skin scars really badly. I can't have this going on like this! I really need to find a solution for those closed comedones.
  16. I'm 21 years old and I've had clear skin for most of my life. Even when I ate junk food. Never really got serious acne in high school and barely did anything to my face, just water and body moisturizer or baby oil. Then came university. i started getting these pimples with large whiteheads all around my central chin. It was bad, it always occurred in the same spots and continued to get worse. It was so frustrating. On top of of that it scarred really really badly. Now I'm left with a circular r
  17. Hi guys, So I've had clear skin my whole life. At the age of 23, I started developing a few blackheads around my nose. I went in for a facial to get them extracted, and it was literally the worst decision of my life. The facialist was too harsh on my face and left tons of scarring from the extractions, and after the facial, I broke out with tiny little bumps on my right cheek. I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed me a 10% glycolic lotion for the bumps and scarring, however, this j

  19. Hi, I've got clogged pores on my nose that are really bothering me. They were tiny dots before, now they are red and make my nose look red in general. Does anyone know how to get rid this?
  20. So I know there are a millions threads specific to flesh colored bumps, but I just had to share my own since everyone is different. Backstory: I've had mild-moderate acne since I was 15 years old (I'm now 20). The worst case happened at 18-19 where I broke out horribly on my cheeks and this acne was stubborn as heck. It was red, big, and left marks. Fortunately, the acne.org regimen did wonders and cleared my face up along with the hyperpigmentation! A year later, my forehead is still kind of
  21. Just finished my second pack of Yasmin and am in the break week, however my forehead has suddenly become really rough feeling and I've noticed small bumps all over it (although only visible in certain lighting) Some of them have turned into whiteheads, others have been there for a few weeks now and don't seem to be disappearing... wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if it's just an initial breakout and will subside? The fact that the bumps seem more like clogged pores than actua
  22. Hi guys. Starting this thread more for myself than anything else to STICK to caveman regiment once and for all. Background: 21 years old and never washed my face in my life except for like maybe once randomly a couple times a year just because my friends used to do it, but I would stop after like one time. Never washed my face with water except for sometimes randomly in the morning to wake myself up or just in the shower when it got wet on days I washed my hair. I've had clear skin all my li
  23. Hello everyone, I usually dont do this type of thing but I really need some help and advice. Im an 18 year old male whos a senior in highschool. I'm committed to play college football at a school in Nebraska and I just want to get my skin 100% normal again and get rid of all my acne probelms before I arrive on campus. I have had pretty bad acne breakouts off and on for the past year and a half and has led to alot of post marks and scars that have not gone away. Ive noticed that I have pretty la
  24. Hi everyone, I have been dealing with this problem for months now ever since using Grapeseed oil. I always have acne prone skin prone to clogged pores, however i went clear after pregnancy and treating them using just carrot health soap and .25% tretinoin liquid. I get a few spots here and there prior to my menstruation but not the clogged pores on my forehead cheeks and chin have subsided. After using grapeseed oil last September, my face was a mess. I though it was purging, but the clogged
  25. Hello everyone, i am 15 years old and i have these very small bumps on my forehead that cannot go away, and i have tried anything. According to what i have read it may be comedonal acne/clogged pores but i´m not sure. There are hundreds of them: they are colorless, and you can only see them when close or when light catches them. It makes me feel extremely anxious and the few times that I could get rid of them, my anxiety levels went down. I used to use face scrubs, but that didn´t seem
