  1. Hi everyone! I have been following this site and it has been the place I go to when I don't know where else to seek help. I'm fairly new to posting anything on here, and I think this is the right forum for what I want to say. This may be long. I started having acne in middle school, it started in 7th grade (2012), probably also influenced by hormones since I got my period in 7th grade as well. Looking back at what I had, it was NOTHING. I was young and I thought these face demons were ending
  2. Is it safe to use acne.org's glycolic acid and clindoxyl gel ( which is 1%Clindamycin, 5% Benzoyl Peroxide) together? I know that they say that it's best to use both acne.org's glycolic acid and benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment for acne, so does that mean it would have the same effect with using clindoxyl gel since it contains 5% benzoyl peroxide or would it have a certain type of reaction because of the clindamycin?
  3. Day 1: Hey guys! So, I've been having acne for about 9 years, and I am currently 22. I've been on a Clindoxyl Gel regimen for many years and it seemed to work but recently I've been breaking out with these huge cystic pimples that Clindoxyl Gel can't seem to tackle alone. I have red marks everywhere. It's the type of acne that can be perfectly covered with makeup - but with all honestly, no girl wants to worry about powdering themselves up every minute. I've been prescribed Retisol-A, whic
  4. Hi! This is for the fellow friends on this board, that have dealt with acne or are still dealing with it. It's my personal story! Just like many of you, I deal with acne. Painful, terrible, cyctic and severe acne. When I was in 7th grade I started to get tiny little bumps over my forehead, but as a kid I really just ignored it, until they became more consistent, yet still mild. As a young teenager, obsessed with the views of others, I insisted on getting professional help. Doing so I was pr
  5. So i got clindoxyl gel from my doctor which has 5% BP and dans regimen has 2.5%. I'm supposed to use clindoxyl only at night and I'm not supposed to use any moisturizer or anything.. but I'm kind of scared to do that because dans bp is 2.5% and it dried out my skin like craaaazyyyyyy but maybe thats because i used it twice a day and i used a lot of product? I'm not sure if i should just listen to my doctor and just stop using moisturizer and use just clindoxyl or just use it in the mornings ,and
  6. I had moderate-severe acne during my high school days, but by university I was mostly clear except for the occasional breakout and a lot of hyperpigmentation (I'm Asian so my skin's supposedly more prone to that). I decided to go on the regimen at the beginning of this year (2013) and it worked pretty well for me until the 4th month when my skin suddenly became too sensitive to Dan's benzoyl peroxide. I still don't know why, but trust me when I say I tried EVERYTHING, assessed EVERYTHING that co
  7. Ok people so I am tired of dealing with moderately bad acne at age 21. Its time to get down to the bottom of this and fix this as best I can. I can live with a few blemishes, but I hate that its mostly all over my face and I think I have a regimen/diet change that will work for me. Acne history: Started in grade 9 breaking out all around my face. I tried proactive in grade 10 and it worked well for a while(except my face was super shiny, ew) but then its as if my skin became immune to it. I
  8. It's a long story but the Epiduo I have expired last month and I get can't get a new one, so I was wondering is it safe to use Epiduo right after its expiry date? If not, can I safely switch to another tropical treatment (like Clindoxyl gel) after using Epiduo for 2 weeks without any irritating, breakouts, or loss of the 2 week progress, etc. due to the change? Someone please help me because I finally started the regimen and put the time, money and effort into it only to be stopped by something
  9. Hey guys i'm new to this forum and I just signed up to ask about a gel i'm using it's Clindoxyl gel it contains something like 1% clindamycin phosphate and 5% benzoyl peroxide. This gel was perscribed to me by my doctor. So it was working great and still is, I think it's about the 5th day and although redness and dryness is something I should expect, I just wanted to get some tips, am I using too much? I did whack quite a bit on last night ... i've heard you shoudn't use "too much" at first
