  1. Hello everyone, I've had moderate acne since I was 12/13 (I believe my acne is mostly hormonal and make up related). I'm turning 27 this month, and my struggle has only worsened through adulthood (until recently). I'm sharing my regiment with the world with hope that it will help some of you. (Also note, I just purchased the basic kit through this site, and I will update once used for 30 days). *Failed attempts include: antibiotics, Spirolactone, topical Retinol, ProActive, endless over the co
  2. So I've been taking progress pictures which I intend to upload at the end of my round of accutane if all goes well. I don't have the confidence to post pictures of my skin at the moment, not sure how others do it before they see dramatic improvement! Lately I've been focusing on getting rid of the strange bumps on my skin while I wait for the accutane treatment to begin. I've done plenty of research and tried literally everything. Lately I've been seeing some improvement and this morning
  3. From the album: 30 mg Accutane experience

3 weeks until the end of my treatment. 40mg
  4. From the album: Epiduo

First Image is 2 months into proactiv in February/March (skin looks super angry, but clearing). I eventually gave up on Proactiv and broke out even worse. The second Image is 41 days into Epiduo, been having some breakouts and have some hyperpigmentation, had a decent 3 week stint and but had a minor breakout this week which has cleared up. Crossing my fingers!
  5. I posted this somewhere else too but figured I should add this to my pre-accutane updates. The bumps on my face have been bugging me SO much! So I read that vinegar can be helpful with folliculitis and other noninflamed acne and I also saw a lot of posts about baking soda and apple cider vinegar on your face. Decided to give it a go. After 2 days I'm seeing the bumps go WAY down and some that weren't budging for what felt like ages have finally come to a head. I simply added some ba
  6. Soooo a few weeks ago, I had posted all the products I've used in a superrrr long list. (You can find it through my page or something) and I've come to one thing, well two: diet and exercise. After coming off yaz birth control, my acne had came back... bad. I do believe acne is caused multiple ways: diet, exercise/well-being, genetics. My dad still has acne scars and my mom still struggles with breakouts and oily skin. Because of this, I thought I'd be doomed for life. I stopped using a
  7. Jeez, from the looks of these photos, you wouldn't think things have gotten any better, but they have. All of the breakouts you see here are actually old ones taking forever and a day to heal, sadly, or the breakouts I got last week (week 12). So far this week, though, no new breakouts. Perhaps I've finally crossed the threshhold that Dan discusses, in which you cycle for a while through breakouts, heal a bit, breakout more, and then finally start truly healing breakout free. Also, the breakout
  8. Hi Everyone, WARNING- LONG FIRST POST! I am fairly new to the site, and once I had started reading round I thought I should give the regime a go. I had been prescribed benzoyl peroxide before by my doctors, but gave up when it made my skin so dry! especially using soap before hand as suggested! I recently went back to see if they had invented a new miracle cure. sadly not. I genuinely cried when I came out the doctors as I felt hopeless, and it just wasn't FAIR. Once I got a grip and stopped
  9. Hi all, Just to share my story- So literally my late teens was when I developed what my Doctor called acne, to me I didn't realise as it wasn't an agressive form of acne that is pretty common among teens. Anyway of course I was open to anything to help me skin and and was soon prescribed onto the Yasmin pill. My acne did clear, but I hated taking the pills and soon enough just the thought of swallowing one more pill made me feel sick and with suffering the awful side effects that come with t
  10. Hello everyone! This is my first post here, but i started accutane 21 days ago ( popped my 21st pill this morning) and my skin has only gotten better from when i started! I have no initial breakout at all! Which is why I am posting here, I am wondering if this is normal and if my skin may never get the IB? is it possible for my skin to just keep clearing and maybe be clear by 2 months?
  11. From the album: My Skin

Can't believe how great this new routine is working, & how FAST! If you want your blemishes to clear quickly, try beta carotene. I've never seen my pimples go away so fast. This is only the 3rd day since I began using this treatment. Very happy & surprised by the results so far! I am also limiting my dairy but I think the beta carotene is having a greater impact. Both are probably beneficial, however. Also, NO NEW BREAKOUTS are forming. How fantastic!!! Feeling blessed!
  12. From the album: 30 mg Accutane experience

I'm taking 40mg for this coming month because of a doctor-pharmacy error that can't be reversed. A little annoyed, but back to 60mg soon. Feeling better everyday! Healing has arrived
  13. Reposting this here because I got absolutely zero responses in the hormonal acne forum and my dermatologist appointment is tomorrow so getting kind of desperate, sorry! Hi guys, looking to hear some experiences of Spironolactone treatment courses please! Question is in the title really.... Did Spironolactone successfully clear your acne and if so how long did it take?I've been taking Spironolactone now since the last week of December, so about 16 weeks in total, but in that time I did increase
  14. Well, it's been about 2 weeks or so since my last update on the Daniel Kern Regimen aka, "Acne.org Regimen". My skin's really taken a whole new turn since that last post, wow. I am ecstatic to say that my skin continues to heal, albeit slowly. The cystic acne was pretty damaging, and so I not only had to be extra patient but also be careful in order to reduce actual textual scarring. What you see in the pics below is all hyper-pigmentation, aka, post-inflammatory acne marks. Wow, it looks so ba
  15. So, I'm on my third week of accutane now and since day one my skin has been clearing up. I've probably had about 2-3 pimples show up during this period, which is a very small number for me. But I've heard so much about it almost being a must to get the "flare up" during the first 2-3 months. Is it even possible to start clearing immediately? Or should I bee expecting my skin to get worse soon? What are your experiences?
