  1. Hey guys, so these last couple of weeks have been very hard for me because of my persistent breakouts as you can see in my last two posts. I got the cortisone shot on Thursday and it has gotten so much smaller!! Anyway, I could not figure out why I was breaking out so badly in just one area until I decided to look up the effects of Clearasil ultra rapid vanishing cream that I began using before I broke out even worse! Anyway, turns out this product dries out the skin so much that it causes MORE
  2. OK. wow i'v been gone awhile, I honestly have no excuse except I'v been busy. My face is looking really good right now, alittle red because I kind of went at it removing blackheads lastnight (I know, I;m ashamed of myself. Really!) Plus i'v been useing a AHA cream from...I can't remember the name of the place..But its natural and so good. It kind of burns my skin at first but it helps with my acne like you wouldnt believe! I put it on at night under lotion on my lerrosett rejuvinating serum an
  3. So I just received my Paula's Choice 2% Skin Perfecting BHA Liquid in the mail and noticed for the first time Salicylic Acid underneath the name. I had rushed to buy it online after hearing glowing reviews for getting rid of those tiny noninflammed bumps, which i have on edge of my face, chin, and forehead ( closed comedones? ..still new at this). So after reading Salicylic Acid I grabbed my Clearasil pads (which don't do anything to combat bumps. Right on the back it lables the active ingr
  4. So, more about Spiro and Doxy. FYI: this post is a bit messy, I promise I'm not usually this confusing. I'll post pictures later, but basically, I have cystic acne on the bottom half of my face--mostly concentrated on my lower cheeks, but also some on my jaw line and chin. My nose and forehead are actually quite nice looking. So I went to an endocrinologist and got my hormones tested. Everything is good except my DHEA, which is way high (darn adrenal gland, malfunctioning). Accord
  5. This is my first post on Acne.org, although I often come on here to read up on things and see what helps. I would never dare say that my acne is bad, considering some people have just painful and terrible conditions that I feel so bad about, but over the last two years, mild acne has plagued me. I just recently turned 18 and have always had these film acting aspirations, so naturally I've tried many things to stop this acne dead in it's tracks. My family does not have a history of acne problems,
  6. There appear to be three formulas with 2% Salicylic Acid and I want to try one. I would appreciate your reviews if you've tried any of these. The three I am trying to choose from are: Ultra Rapid Action Vanishing Treatment Cream Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Gel Ultra Overnight Face Lotion I intend to use it overnight only. Here's a link to the Clearasil site page for this product line: http://www.clearasil...clearasil-ultra
  7. Ok so I ran out of my normal cleanser the other week (Clean and Clear face wash with Salicylic acid) and decided to go and try something else, So I purchased the Clearasil Rapid Action wash. Well its been about a week of using it morning and night and I dont really think it has been helping. I have been getting quite dry skin around my chin and forehead. I have also started developing these cyst type boil things where old acne marks were, I mean my old cleanser had Salicylic acid in it to so I d
  8. I saw a advert on tv today for a gentle new facewash called Clearasil Vitamins & Extracts Wash & Mask with a little bit of SA, and soothing ingredents inside. I use the regime, and only BP on a night, it's alittle bit too much in the day, SA has worked well for me in the past so wonder if this would be okay and safe for me for morning use and maybe other people? The ingredents are Aqua, glycerin, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, Bentonite, Kaolin, Cocamidopropyl Betai
  9. Thinking of starting the regimen tonight, but with my own products rather than ordering them today and waiting. I saw a video of a girl that uses olay sensitive skin face wash (which is exactly what i have) and I have an all natural soothing moisturizer from lush. The only problem is I don't have a tube of BP 2.5%. I do however, have a big tube of clearasil Rapid Action Treatment Gel. Its Salicylic Acid 2%. Should I try using this and starting my own sort of regimen? I think the SA might wo
  10. I am so ecstatic right now. I went on DIM Detox 3 weeks ago. It helps regulate your hormones and blocks the androgens which contribute to hormonal acne. It is completely natural and safe. I can't believe how well it's worked for me again. I stopped taking it because I was pregnant but after deep research and consultations with my doctor and midwife as well as the manufacturer of the product, I was advised that it was safe to take half the minimum dosage for a few months. It's been over 1
  11. Hi! I'm a 16 year-old girl that has been struggling with acne since I was 12. I've tried Differin, Clearasil, Proactiv, Neutrogena, and Clean and Clear. So far, none of these products have actually helped with my acne. My dermatologist said that my acne was Grade II I've seen and heard about a lot of success stories having to do with Accutane...would that help? I'd also like the know about the chances of it actually curing my acne. (I have pictures in my Gallery)
  12. Hello all, I have tried numerous products, most recently Clean and Clear Acne Advantage and Clearasil Ultra. I want to know what type of acne you all figure I have, if medication is required, and etc. I drink water only all the time, except for the occasional can of soda every once in a while. I tried doing the wash with water only thing, and in a day I had like three new whiteheads. My cheeks are most definitely my problem areas, but my forehead gets the same too. Also my nose. My chin is rela
