  1. Hi readers, I apologize for not updating in awhile, but I hadn't had much change to write about until now. I just entered my 4th month on Zenatane and have noticed a few new things. First off, my skin is about 99% clear right now! Its a wonderful feeling to be able to just walk outside without any makeup on and feel confident. I have noticed some minor scaring and a few very tiny ice pick marks but I am trying not to be too concerned about them because I know isotretenoin can make scars more
  2. Hey guys! I'm so glad to be getting some feedback on this blog from you! I am more than willing to answer any and all questions you wanna ask me, so please never hesitate to leave comments! Anyways, I'm approaching my last week of month 2 and I'm starting to see some real results...hooray! After increasing my dosage to 60mg, I did experience another initial breakout which was a bit disheartening but totally normal. As of now, my forehead is a bit of a war zone again but below my eyebrows

    Day 2

Yesterday I followed everything exactly as the day before except I wore makeup during the day. I'm glad to say that my face has not worsened, in fact I think my blackheads are less noticeable and my complexion looks slightly less bumpy. My skin feels clean even when I wake up which is strange because normally it's extremely oily. The only thing I can complain about is how long it takes at night and the smell of my toner, but if it works it's totally worth it. I will update tomorrow and from then

    Day 1

Yesterday I started my new skin care plan. In the morning I put raw honey on my face and let it sit for like three minutes. I then take a hot wash cloth and lay it on my face then wash the honey off. I found that this leaves my face feeling great. It feels soft and not oily at all which is surprising for me because I have really oily skin. After all the honey is off my skin, I pat my face dry and apply my apple cider vinegar toner. At night I did the oil cleansing method with grapeseed o
  5. It seems like my face is peeling a little bit less. I think it's been around 4 or 5 weeks since I started using Retin A Micro. I am using it 2x per week now (on the in between days I use nice moisturizers or tamanu oil). Just the other day, I noticed that the tone of my skin seems to be improving. It's hard to describe but it seems to be getting more even and maybe a touch of a glow to it. I'll take it! I am still getting random bumps here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. I don'
  6. I've had acne since I was ten, and for the past 3 years it's grown into an extremely severe condition. Overall, I've managed to keep my emotions and feelings towards my face under wraps. But recently I looked into a mirror and I completely broke down. I hysterically cried for about an hour. Now it's not like this is the first time I've noticed how bad my acne has gotten in the past three years. In fact, prior to this day I looked at my face very closely in the mirror, every single day, and just

    Ziana Gel

My progress on Ziana Gel. Ive attached pictures to show how my skin looks after every week or so. I started Ziana December 1 2014, I experienced burning sensation sometimes due to using too much of the product. Not too much peeling, but I have oily skin. I didn't experience dryness, again due to oily skin..I believe. Ziana started working for me instantly. Reduced breakouts and helped breakouts heal faster, also helped dark spots shrink at a decent pace. Since using Ziana, I dont have t
  8. Oh man, how happy am I that week 3 showed a vast improvement! So, I'm still suffering from mood swings - but I can mostly attribute that to my past history with taking medication, as my body isn't used to having this sort of stuff in my system. Plus, I have had a slight issue with mood before taking Roaccutane so I'm not super worried about that. My lips are finally healing! Hallelujah, they were looking very worrying all last week so I'm glad using the right treatment has helped. In te
  9. I was 15 when my first pimple popped up, my skin had always been even toned and clear. After ever possibly cleanser I finally went on acne.org regime at 16. It worked amazingly and out of being cocky I went off of it at 17. For a couple of months, I witnessed the worst breakouts ever, tiny flesh colored bumps EVERYWHERE, red inflamed cheeks, and pink pimples on my upper cheek area, forehead, chin, and sometimes on my nose. It was not so the embarrassing part, but more of the confidence lost weth
  10. I only have 1.5 days left of Accutane! I can't believe I made it throughout the entire treatment. Although dry, my skin is smooth and glows. The only scars I have are some red marks that I can easily cover up with make-up. A pain, but I'm okay with it. Although I haven't posted regularly, this site has been so helpful when I visited and read others' stories or needed support. THANK YOU!
  11. I'm super excited to announce that my skin has been consistently clear and non-irritated for about a month now. The products I'm currently using have slowly weaned its way into my regimen - I'm starting to realize that skincare is a delicate balance of taking care of your skin - really listening to it on a daily basis to improve it overall. As a result, instead of completely switching products or starting completely new regimens, I've slowly incorporated the products into my regimen - especially
  12. I finally feel I am in a place comfortable with my skin, take what you wish and what’s helpful for you. to clarify, ( I may get one pimple a month?) I’ll cut straight to what helped me, I have very dry skin and then sometimes it’s very oily. St Ives Blemish control (wash face once a day at night) do NOT put a lot on your face. If your face feels dry afterwards, you have put on way to much. my moisturizer is Aloe Vera, (this is when I really experienced a huge difference in my skin. My gue
  13. Ive never made a blogpost before, but i thought i really needed to write this down. Ive used the regimen for 2+ years i think. Ive been struggling with acne for 7 years since i was 10 years old. My acne is really on the surface and not really cystic what makes me 'lucky' i guess. But i do have severe acne, it is literally everywhere. And mostly whiteheads. But the regimen worked great for me for about a year. After that my acne slowly came back. I kept using it because of course i wanted it to
  14. It’s great to know that at the young age of 18, you are keen on taking care of your skin. While there isn’t a set formula for flawless skin, you can keep your skin healthy by following a few simple skin care tips with dedication. Firstly, determine your skin type and find the right products that work for you. If skin care problems like acne or patchiness persist beyond a month, consult a dermatologist or an expert. Every morning, cleanse, tone, moisturise your skin and follow this up with sunscr

I wasn't going to post these pictures because it's embarrassing to see just how bad my skin used to be!!! However, I figured someone could benefit from my struggle. I've struggled with acne for the last 10 years. I've tried changing my diet, prescription meds, Proactiv, Murad, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, all-natural face washes, masks, scrubs, etc. YOU NAME IT, I'VE TRIED IT!!!! I even tried to cover it with makeup. But no matter how much concealer you use, there's just no covering a bumpy su
  16. (For the explanation of the topic itself, skip to the button.) Honestly if no one reads this, it's ok. Too long, didn't read for you? It's ok. I don't blame you. I know, it's really long. I just need to get these emotions out. I wanted to do this many times before, but I didn't, and now here I type. History of me and my acne (if uninterested, feel free to skip) I need to pour all of these emotions out somewhere. I'm tired of locking myself up in my room and screaming silently and cry

    After

From the album: Before And After

After being true to "The Treatment" BP and going on Tri Sprintec Oral Contraceptives, my skin is healthier, happier, and a new, foreign texture that fears not the click of a camera. Finally.
  18. I just ordered the acne treatment regimen for the face will arrive in a few days. I am hoping this will work to clear up my skin, feeling optimistic. I do see that acne.org has a seperate wash just for the body, is anyone using that? I read from a peer reviewed article that you can infact use the same acne wash on your face onto your whole body. Is anyone else using the face wash on their body instead of buying two different treatments? I also would like to know of the side affects that actually
  19. I never found products that worked consistently. I would try every kind of product. I went on another phase and tried olive oil to clean my face but ended up clogging every single pore. I didn't know it was the olive oil until a month later, when my face was completely broken out. The esthetician told me I need to try obagi and tretinoin. I did tretinoin for 6 months but my skin never got use to it. I didn't like how dry and painful my skin felt. It would peel chunks of skin and with my job, I h
  20. I'm in university right now and I've suffered a lot of emotional hardship as I battled my acne. In highschool, I used a topical from a dermatologist and for a year or so, it worked until one day, I broke out TERRIBLY bad overnight. Everyday, I looked at people with clear skin (I still do) and wondered why my skin wasn't like them. Why my friends didn't go through what I did. What hurt me the most back then was when people teased me about how huge my pimples were or how red I looked. Acne really
  21. Hi, I've been taking 60mg of accutane for a little less than the last two months and within the last week my side effects have dissipated. With that being said my skin has also dramatically improved within the last week as well. Both of these coincide with me starting my second perscription package of accutane. So my question is, is this a normal part of the treatment, have I gotten lucky with side affects or is this some how signally that the medication isn't working? Thanks in advanced for
  22. Well it's been 4 months ago that I started this regimen. It's been a long hard battle but it's been so worth it! I had moderate cystic acne when I started this regimen. I couldn't even open my mouth all the way bc of the acne along my jawline and cheeks. I was constantly in pain and discomfort. Not to mention embarrassed by people starring at me. Has no one ever seen acne before? Jeesh! So currently I have 2 tiny baby bumps on my chin. Those go away very quickly now. The rest of my face is so
  23. Hi guys! Just checking in. I haven't really been on here for a couple of days since I've been busy with work. I guess I just wanted to give a quick update on my skin and also since I have been on the regimen for a couple of months now...a quick "what I have learned" post. HERE'S WHAT I'VE LEARNED: 1. Everybodys skin is different. And the same product will react differently to different people not only because of their skin types but also because of their skin sensitivity, or where they live, o
  24. Okay so i just got off of accutane about a month ago and i'm still clear. So i'm thankful for that, but i'm still very bothered with some of accutane's lingering side effects. The worst for me is the flushing and redness. Anytime i get a little bit embarrassed, nervous, or even talk to someone i usually don't my face starts to flush and i start sweating all over my body, within a couple of minutes i'm red as can be and in extreme discomfort as my whole body begins to be inflicted by pain becaus
  25. Hey everyone! just thought I'd share my story with acne and how I got clear. I am in NO WAY endorsing these products for profit whatsoever. I just thought I would share what worked for me. As most of the people here, I got hit with acne around 12 or 13, Very mild, rarely came up as a topic with anybody. Then when I turned 17 (my grad year), it exploded all over my face. I was horrified. So was my family, my mom even refused to get pictures done of me because I was a "pizza face". SO that w
