    DK Cleanser

I just started using this cleanser about a month ago.. I haven't bought the BP yet. I still have some BP left from my proactive kit.. After using this cleanser for about a month, my face is breaking out like non other.. I have big, painful bumps on my forehead. Does anyone else have similar experiences like this?
  2. Has anyone tried using pure vegetable glycerine bar soap for a face wash with good results? I recently came across some info that made it sound pretty good but I wanted to see if anyone else had tried it out? I find the simplicity of it very appealing after years of bottles and bars of multiple face washes...
  3. Hello all, I'm new here. I joined because I wanted a forum where I could find out info and skincare for acne-prone, sensitive skin from real people who have the same issues as I do. At the moment I've decided to go all natural, or as natural as possible without breaking the bank, with my facial care. I've successfully switched over to using oils (jojoba and coconut) in place of moisturizers, and witch hazel and rose water as astringents/toners. [sadly I'm still forced to use bp as a spo
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking for a new facial cleanser and I was just wanted to know if anyone has some suggestions that would work on moderate cystic acne.

    Dan cleanser

Ok, I started using Benzoyl peroxide recently. So far I like it. But i need a good moisturizer, I cant find one that doesnt have at least 1 or 2 pore clogging ingredients in it. I decided to try Dans. I decided since Im using his BP and Moisturizer when it comes out, I might as well buy the kit. But im concerned about his cleanser. Some of the ingredients bother me. Dans cleanser

I think it is making me break out been using it a week now, anyone else breakout when they first started using it?
  7. I have a general question, how can I be ensured that the cleanser cleans deep enough, or if it simply just acts as close to water? It feels really good, I just want to be sure if it's as effective as it "feels" to my skin. I know the mods had to do testing with it, so is there any information during that process that could possibly help me understand better? Thank you for your time
  8. I'm starting accutane in a month and i'm really at a loss for what cleanser and moisturizer i should use. I'm looking at products and reading reviews and it's all overwhelming!! i currently use cetaphil face cleanser and neutrogena sensitive skin face lotion. I think the cetaphil is decent, but i've heard about how SLS can irritate skin? so maybe i should switch. Also, i've used that neutrogena lotion forever and i don't particularly love it. My skin seems more red after i put in on.

    Need A Cleanser

Ok so I am pretty much over the worst of my acne now I did have bad cystic acne but the cysts have hugely decreased in size and I am now starting to see signs of improvement in the red marks they left behind. I do still get the odd pimple though so I was wondering if someone could recommend a good NATURAL cleanser that will help to keep my skin clean without striping it of natural oils or drying it out, and I also want a moisturizer of some kind preferably in gel form or something that isn't
  10. In addition to a bunch of surfactants which are mild skin irritants, the cleanser has sage extract which paula's choice ingredient dictionary labels a skin irritant... it made my face really red and now I know why! Return!

    Jojoba oil cleanser

HAS ANYONE TRIED TO MIX IN JOJOBA OIL WITH THEIR CLEANSER??????????? I have really dry skin and only wash my face once a day.....I read on numerous retail sites that jojoba oil is good for cleaning out pores.....This along with the oil cleansing method testimonies have me curious as to whether or not this will increase or decrease the effectiveness of your cleanser.....ANYONE have any ideas or experience??

    DKR cleanser

I got a new DKR cleanser recently and the consistency is unusual.. kind of clumpy I guess, not smooth like usual. It may just be the new ingredients, with the moisturizing stuff and whatnot.. just making sure it's that and not bad or something. Anyway, I took a video in hopes you could see what I mean, but it's kind of blurry and stuff, but I'll post it anyway for laughs (for some reason it was hysterical to me) and in hopes that you can see what I mean. hahah, here it is. http://video.google.c
  13. I just broke out badly after switching from Clean and Clear continuous control acne cleanser (10% BP cream) to Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. Two days ago I had 1 pimple on my chin and now i have 5, my forehead has also broken out badly(to many pimples to count!) Should I switch back to my old cleanser or just wait and see if this clears up? My old regimen Clean and Clear continuous control acne cleanser (10% BP cream) twice a day. Epiduo gel (2.5% BP and .1% adapalene) once at night after
  14. I'm 15 with acne thats I would describe as mild and close enough to moderate. I have it pretty much under control with: Day: Cleanse with acne.org cleanser Moisturise with acne.org moisturiser Night: Cleanse with acne.org cleanser use Duac once daily gel Moisturise with acne.org moisturiser I was using isotrexin, when my prescription ran out I stopped using it and I had a pretty bad breakout after a week. My doctor then prescribed me with duac once daily (5% BP, 1% clindamycin
  15. First off let me say that I'm loving the regimen. I've been on it for around 3 months (though i did veer off course a bit, adding SA and other things in early on). I'm now on a very strict and clear regimen that's working well at keeping me clear: 1) Cleanse gently with CSR Cleanser in shower 2) Pat dry, apply Jojoba oil to face (a few drops) 3) Wait to dry, apply CSR BP (1 finger) 4) Wait to dry, apply moisturizer (greasy Cetaphil at night, Neutrogena Sensitive Skin AHA during day) The abov
  16. Skin Condition The acne marks on my cheeks have gone back on track to improvement The discoloration on my lip is also looking improved this morning My chin looking better too. It used to be quite bumpy but this morning it looks really smooth and the any bumps have condensed to 4 tiny whiteheads The most irritation and acne is at the corners of my mouth I have some painful areas on my cheeks and around my mouth. I have lots of tiny hard pimp
  17. Hey guys, I just joined this forum so firstly, hello! Up until a few months ago I've suffered with red raw acne on my cheeks and jawline. I'm no longer a teenager (by a long shot!) so did some research and yes, I'm pretty sure I was a sufferer of adult acne. Luckily I have a wonderful friend in the states who recommended Paula's Choice to me, as she's been using their products for a long while to treat blackheads and the occasional breakout. At first I was a bit cynical about it all
  18. So I'm going to the store today. I currently have Dan's BP and ran out of moisturizer so my face is mildly flaky and scaly and I want to take care of that. My choices are: Clean&Clear for Sensitive Skin Cetaphil Daily Cleanser Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (Two different things, correct?) or Purpose, the one recommended on Dan's .(As are all the above.) I'm set on Cetaphil, but I'm wondering if I should buy the Neutrogena Healthy Skin with AHA and SPF15. My questions: 1. Will AHA mois

2 Months Into Dans Regimen! Whoop!

The 2 month mark is here! 8 weeks! This is a crucial milestone, people. A crossroad of sorts. This is the time I told myself I'd evaluate my progress and decide if I should continue... Well? What do you guys think? Is it worth sticking it out another month? Another 2 months? Forever?!?
  20. Can I Use the Regimen Cleanser to remove my Makeup???.. Im kinda scared about what to use to remove my makeup, Any advice?

  22. Hello! I have recently started on accutane and i'm not quite sure on which moisturizer and cleanser I should choose for my dryness when i'm on accutane. I have thought about these: La Roche Posay Effaclar H Cream (moisturizer) LRP EFFACLAR Cleanser gel (for cleansing before using the Effaclar H cream)

    raw honey and olive oil

does anyone have any experience using raw, unprocessed honey as a cleanser and olive oil as a moisturizer? would you recommend either, or both? thanks
  24. Hey guys, So I have been using Cetaphil's gentle cleanser to wash my face for about a year. However, it still dries my face a ton!!! I thought it was supposed to be one of the least drying products out there! If anybody has any experience with another cleanser that might be less drying please let me know. I can't even go swimming without my face looking totally dried and flaky. Please please please let me know if any of you guys are using a product that is less drying. It would help me immense
