  1. Hello, I have ordered Dan's big kit, and want to know if it is suitable for oily skin? I have been using cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer but recently noticied that there is now a cetaphil cleanser for oily skin type. I have been told that using the cetaphil moisturizer which says it is for dry skin can make things worse if you are an oily skin type. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much of a supply for cleansers and moisturizers for oily skin types. So again Dan's cleanser and moistu
  2. Hi, I have a combination skin type as I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I am suffering from some acne on my T-zone mainly and sometimes they seem like blackheads, some are whitehead and some are just bumps and these bumps don't look like blackheads or whiteheads or inflammatory ones. I used Simple kind to skin moisturiser and Nivea soft cream as I have really dry cheeks and both of the products moisturises my dry cheeks well but makes my T-zone look really oily. I have tried Bodyshop's s
  3. Hi, I bought Dan's cleanser about a year ago, when it was brand new, and came in a blue bottle. It didn't work well with New York City's water, and didn't wash off completely, leaving a "film" on my skin. Has the formula been changed recently to improve this? New bottle style = new formula? I'll be giving Dan's moisturizer a shot. Neutrogena moisturizers make my skin very oily and shiny, so I have to absorb my face with a napkin every hour or so. Does this moisturizer do this? Thank you
  4. I'm 15 with acne thats I would describe as mild and close enough to moderate. I have it pretty much under control with: Day: Cleanse with acne.org cleanser Moisturise with acne.org moisturiser Night: Cleanse with acne.org cleanser use Duac once daily gel Moisturise with acne.org moisturiser I was using isotrexin, when my prescription ran out I stopped using it and I had a pretty bad breakout after a week. My doctor then prescribed me with duac once daily (5% BP, 1% clindamycin
  5. I have been washing my face twice a day. However, I'm starting to think it may be too drying. I have sensitive dry skin with a somewhat oily nose (or maybe it's just the way the light reflects off it) and I often have flaking skin on my nose and chin. Does anyone have any experience with only washing their face at night? Thanks.
  6. Hey everybody I recently found out that oatmeal significantly clears up my skin. However, anybody else who has used oatmeal before will know that it is very messy. It clogs the sink, sometimes a piece of it gets left in my hair and later on somebody embarrassingly points it out It is also quite impractical for everyday use as sometimes i just cant be bothered to use it at 7am before school when im half awake. I need an alternative to oatmeal, anything natural really as i have SENSITIVE SK

    Jojoba oil cleanser

HAS ANYONE TRIED TO MIX IN JOJOBA OIL WITH THEIR CLEANSER??????????? I have really dry skin and only wash my face once a day.....I read on numerous retail sites that jojoba oil is good for cleaning out pores.....This along with the oil cleansing method testimonies have me curious as to whether or not this will increase or decrease the effectiveness of your cleanser.....ANYONE have any ideas or experience??
  9. Since I was in middle school, probably in the fourth grade, I've had acne. Its not like huge bumps and pimples; its small black heads anf the occasionally whiteheads and those big stress bumps. Its all over my face expect my nose and mouth area. I'm not in the 11th grade and I have been using regular soap but they are not going away. I used proactiv for like 2-3 weeks. It workwd but after about 4 big bumps were on my chin. I don't know what to do. I don't want to take junior pictures with pimp
  10. Hi guys! Just checking in. I haven't really been on here for a couple of days since I've been busy with work. I guess I just wanted to give a quick update on my skin and also since I have been on the regimen for a couple of months now...a quick "what I have learned" post. HERE'S WHAT I'VE LEARNED: 1. Everybodys skin is different. And the same product will react differently to different people not only because of their skin types but also because of their skin sensitivity, or where they live, o
  11. I am not on Dan's regimen nor use bp but I have used Dan's cleanser and find it pretty drying and seems to irritate my face a little. Even though Dan's cleanser is drying I still like that it foams and is ph balanced. I was just wondering can Alpha hydrox foaming face wash be used as an alternative gentle face wash? It is also ph balanced, non drying, and foams.
  12. Hi guys- just decided to put this out there n c if it happened to any1else?? I ordered 4 tubes of gel and 1 cleanser on 12th August and chose standard shipping which usually takes a wk to Ireland but theres still no sign of it. Anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks!!
  13. Is the USPS shipping option not available for the cleanser? The cheapest option is UPS Ground for $9.48. Is that right??!?!? Ive always gotten my stuff through the normal mail at a low cost. I swear this has happened to me before, but then they fixed it. I live in Ohio btw.
  14. Quaternium-15 - in the Purpose cleanser and drives my dermatitis nuts. Propylene Glycol - was the primary ingredient in a Kiss My Face shaving product and broke me out big time. Sodium Trideceth Sulfate - this just sounds bad. Is this a foaming ingredient like SLS? Any reports of drying or irritation with the cleanser?
  15. Hey guys, So I have been using Cetaphil's gentle cleanser to wash my face for about a year. However, it still dries my face a ton!!! I thought it was supposed to be one of the least drying products out there! If anybody has any experience with another cleanser that might be less drying please let me know. I can't even go swimming without my face looking totally dried and flaky. Please please please let me know if any of you guys are using a product that is less drying. It would help me immense
  16. Hey guys, I just joined this forum so firstly, hello! Up until a few months ago I've suffered with red raw acne on my cheeks and jawline. I'm no longer a teenager (by a long shot!) so did some research and yes, I'm pretty sure I was a sufferer of adult acne. Luckily I have a wonderful friend in the states who recommended Paula's Choice to me, as she's been using their products for a long while to treat blackheads and the occasional breakout. At first I was a bit cynical about it all
  17. I have a general question, how can I be ensured that the cleanser cleans deep enough, or if it simply just acts as close to water? It feels really good, I just want to be sure if it's as effective as it "feels" to my skin. I know the mods had to do testing with it, so is there any information during that process that could possibly help me understand better? Thank you for your time
  18. ITs been a week using cetaphil cleanser, neutrogena on the spot, and cetaphil moist. Its given me good results. Acne are healing much faster and it has calmed my skin down really good. I got dans products today and im switching to dans cleanser and gel but sticking with cetaphil moist. is it bad if i switch?
  19. I am biracial (moms black, dads white) So I am light skinned black. Anyways, on the regimen I wash my face with the cleanser for 10 seconds, and pat dry gently (1 pump only). Immediately after drying my face gets VERY pale, my parents sometimes worry that I am sick during the 10 minute waiting period to applying BP haha. My color comes back after i apply the BP and the Moisturizer,,, so I am wondering if this is normal (I am a male so I do not use makeup)

    DK Cleanser

I just started using this cleanser about a month ago.. I haven't bought the BP yet. I still have some BP left from my proactive kit.. After using this cleanser for about a month, my face is breaking out like non other.. I have big, painful bumps on my forehead. Does anyone else have similar experiences like this?
  21. I've never had forehead breakouts till i switched to CSR cleanser...so i just switched back to cetaphile...that was working for me no idea while i switched. Product loyalty

    CSR cleanser is...

Wow! I have used the CSR cleanser only two days so these are only first impressions. I have been using Cetaphil Gentle Liquid Cleanser and while I liked that because it was very gentle on my skin, my face never felt that "clean". So as far as the CSR cleanser: - Great package and a convenient pump - Great price for a large bottle - I only need one pump (large pump) to clean my entire face!!! - I love how it foams - My face feels so clean after using it - Very gentle and does not dry

    DKR cleanser

I got a new DKR cleanser recently and the consistency is unusual.. kind of clumpy I guess, not smooth like usual. It may just be the new ingredients, with the moisturizing stuff and whatnot.. just making sure it's that and not bad or something. Anyway, I took a video in hopes you could see what I mean, but it's kind of blurry and stuff, but I'll post it anyway for laughs (for some reason it was hysterical to me) and in hopes that you can see what I mean. hahah, here it is. http://video.google.c
  24. The Situation: I have been battling acne now for over a year. I have seen my dermatologist, been given Retin-A, Clindamycin, BP, Doxycycline, a decent moisturizer and cleanser, yet I still battle acne and extreme redness/dryness. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I spend a lot of time outdoors/in the sun, so my acne situation is very difficult. Anyways, after a year of on and off success and failure, I have decided to create a new regimen given all of the resources I have now. Required
