  1. Hey everyone! I've been tracking my skin for more than a year now, and I finally have the skin I've been dreaming of (REGULAR NORMAL SKIN haha). I thought I'd post my progress and gallery here, hoping it might help anyone who was on the same journey or has had similar side effects. Things I went through, got rid of, or kept forever: Yasmin Differin 0.3% Retin-A 0.025 Doxycycline 100 mg Sronyx 1% Clindamycin 5% Benzol Peroxide Acanya First Aid Ultra repair Cream
  2. Hi everyone! im new here and hoping to get all my questions answered. lol I'm so excited to get my acne.org in the mail and i am impatiently waiting. I am also planning on getting the clarisonic,I don't know if its ok to use it with the cleanser from the regimen? because it says use the cleanser for less than 10 seconds. Im thinking of using a different moisturizer for daytime use just cause i want to have something that has spf in it. any suggestions? thanks! )

    Hormonal Acne Sos

Hello there! I NEED HELP! I didn't have much of a problem during my teenage years. 1 to 3 acnes during the time of the month, and they get cleared pretty quickly too. I started having more breakouts when I reached my 20s. Most of the time around my jawline and chin area. Once, I touched makeup for the first time and my face broke up with many tiny little bumps. I immediately seek a doctor and was prescribe a gentle form of antibiotic known as tetracycline. And I was cleared. Happened e

New Here :) Need Whitehead Advice

So it's been maybe a little less than a month since I completely stopped using my Clarisonic because I'm pretty sure it was doing more harm than good other keeping my skin smooth in the places where is wasn't breaking out. Soon after that, I stopped using acne medicated products altogether (currently using Cetaphil cleanser and witch hazel morning & night, Neutrogena Oil Free SPF 15 Moisturizer in the morning & CeraVe lotion at night). My breakouts have significantly reduced, b
  5. Hello fellow readers. I am at whits end with acne. I have been struggling since 8th grade, and I am currently in 12th. I have been on everything. Currently, this is my regimen. AM: -Wash face with Cetaphil cleanser and Clarisonic. -Apply Duac. -Apply Cetaphil Moisturizer. -Apply OC Eight Mattifying Gel. -Apply Estee Lauder's Double Wear liquid foundation and powder. PM: -Remove make up with makeup remover wipes. -Wash face with Cetaphil cleanser and Clarisonic. -Apply Retin A. -A
  6. Is it okay to use the clarisonic while using tretinoin cream? Not everyday but maybe 2-3 times a week?

    Dry dry dry

I started thinking that maybe my last post was a little spammy so I'm just gonna say real quick that I am in no way affiliated with Clarisonic or any distributor. I've been lusting after one for about a year now and scored a good Black Friday deal lol so that being said - DANG! It has been so cool and dry in SoCal lately, my skin will not stop looking red and peeling! I don't want to kick Triretnoin from my regimen so I decided I'm going to back off the Clarisonic a little bit and only do it
  8. For years I have visited this website looking for relief from the acne that plagued me since I was 12 (I am now 25). Although I never joined this site, it has been a usefull resource in home remedies and product reviews. Now that I found something that works for me, I felt it was only appropriate to join and share that info. My Skin History: ----I've had acne since I was 12. I was prescribed retin-a, doxy something or other, benzyol peroxide, and a few other products I can't remember the nam

Well I used Differin the other night! I followed the instructions to a T and made sure i used the 'pea sized' amount that everyone recommends. I was expecting my face to burn up but it actually felt ok, maybe because I put it on straight after moisturising. My face felt no different the next day, or the day after.. However, after showering today, I used my Clarisonic (delicate head) as advised by my derm) and my face felt so raw after, especially around my left cheek bone where I was starting to
  10. Hi guys, never posted before but am trying a new product and wanted to share my results as I use it. I'm testing out the Luna mini as a bzzagent, it basically means they let me get it at a reduced price and then they gave me coupons I can share with others if I like it and want to suggest it. So here's my background now: I went off the pill about a year ago and the hormonal acne of my high school years came back full force, I went to Dan's regimen which I've used before with success. I use N
  11. So my acne is pretty bad and I simply cannot consider going lighter on the makeup per Dan's suggestion because sheer make up will not cover anything--- I used to use Paula's Choice clear system which includes a salicycid acid exfoliant that I applied with a cotton ball after washing my face with my hands and then using a clarisonic--- these steps were insuring that I removed all my makeup but they were not GENTLE so I know I need to stop them.... I just started the regimen and the gentle washi
  12. **I have no connection with the Clarisonic company. This review is completely based on personal experience!** Oh my gosh guys let me tell you... I have found what works! I received the Clarisonic about a month ago (for Hanukkah for course haha) and I was so nervous to start using it. I was terrified that there would be a purging stage or that my skin would become super irritated or something disastrous would happen. I could not have been more wrong. I received the Mia 2, which comes wit
  13. Hello! So I'm sure that this product has been discussed on this forum before. I was wondering though if anyone had any advice on the clarisonic skin tool and whether they think it's a worthwhile product to purchase. I'll give you some details about my skin later because that might help you in giving your advice. The reason I'm wanting to really research this product and get advice on it is because it is quite expensive (I would probably go with the Mia or Mia 2 since those are cheaper). So f
  14. Has anybody used the clarisonic with the acne.org regimen? I've seriously been considering buying a clarisonic and wonder if I should buy a new cleanser and treatment to use with it because the regimen might be too harsh? thoughts?
  15. Background: I'm a freshman in college. I've never had horrible acne, just moderate pimples showing up here and there, but it's gotten worse in the last two months. I have Keratosis Pilaris on my cheeks and so acne doesn't show up there, just on my forehead and chin. I've been using the Olay Pro-X brush for about a month now, and I don't think it's making my skin any worse, but it's certainly not making it better. One thing I'm beginning to suspect that is causing acne is the baby powder I us

    From the album: My Acne

Skin is really starting to heal now. I've been off accutane for threes months and now the achy joints and hair loss and other side effects are gone. I've just started to use my Soniclear (dupe for the clarisonic) and that has helped so much in terms of the texture I have on my skin. I have zero acne but I do have raised scars that look like acne. I also started to include a vitamin c serum to my routine and have been wearing sunscreen everyday. I think these two things have helped tremen
  17. Hello, I have spent the past 4 hours staring at my face/picking/obsessing, and I am so sick of it. I am starting this log as mainly a way to deal with my acne. I am very sensitive about the way I look, and I always have been. I have struggled with anorexia and issues related to body dysmorphic disorder, which makes having sever acne particularly stressful and challenging. If you have any tips or advice, or just would like to offer some support/share experience dealing with acne, I w
  18. I have mild and sometimes moderate acne. Lately I have been researching the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush or the Clarisonic Mia 2. Both of these devices are quite a bit of money so I want to get all my facts straight before I make a big purchase. Right now I'm leaning towards the Mia 2 but I want reviews or suggestions from real acne sufferers before I go with this decision. Most of the video reviews I have been watching are made by people who do not have to deal with acne so I

    How I Managed My Acne

Hey Guys! I just wanted to write this post for anyone that is suffering from acne and feeling a little depressed about it. Don't worry I was in your shoes and feeling just as bad. I will try to be concise and just get to points because I know everyone has busy schedules. Let me just start off by saying that I suffered from acne ever since my first menstrual cycle. When I first got acne it was pretty bad especially on my forehead. Once I enter high school the acne simmered down a bit but I alw
  20. Long story short, I was on miocycline for three years and it worked in the beginning but it started to get weaker. I started getting purple marks on my calves and my gums were darkening but my dermatoligist was negligent and didnt say anything about them so I thought nothing of it for a year while I had that. I switched derms and she said that I needed to get off of the antibiotic ASAP and that thank goodness she caught it early; those side effects were a result of the antibiotics building up in

    Month Two.....half Way Through Three.

Well, i have completed month two of 60mg a day and am now half way through month three with the same dosage. Month two, at the beginning... it was just the same. Still breaking out however the breakouts were smaller and not so inflamed. I started to notice that in the last week of my second month, my skin started to clear up and only had 2 or 3 small breakouts on the side of my face. I was very excited for month three. Now, half way through month three, I am happy to say that I have been
  22. Hello everyone! I'm on day 98 of Spiro, today makes exactly 14 weeks. I got super discouraged on Saturday because my skin looked terrible. My left cheek was so red and irritated that it was all I thought about all day. So I've been trying to drink lots and lots of water and be extra gentle when I wash my face. Yesterday morning I used my Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and last night I used the Dove Sensitive Bar Soap and used my Clarisonic. After that, I used the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask that I ju
  23. So I'm 41 and German, English, Irish. I started getting my first Sebaceous Hyperplasias at about 27. Then about fifteen more within the next few years. So first thing I did was have a dermatologist freeze them. The liquid Nitrogen didn't penetrate any and so I tried later on Compound w Freeze away and a professional liquid Nitrogen spray and none could do anything but peel the surface skin a bit. So that myth is bunk. I will tell each method and experiences in continued blogs. Please share yours
  24. Hi there I've been using Clarisonic with Effaclar face wash for about 6 months now. It worked great for a few months but I've noticed that my pores have gotten larger since using it and twice a month I get a crazy rash full of white heads (don't know what's causing it). So, I've stopped using Clarisonic and started washing my face just with hands but since then my pores are getting clogged and I've noticed few cystic spots as well. Should I just go back to Clarisonic or wait and see what happen
