    Hormonal Acne Sos

Hello there! I NEED HELP! I didn't have much of a problem during my teenage years. 1 to 3 acnes during the time of the month, and they get cleared pretty quickly too. I started having more breakouts when I reached my 20s. Most of the time around my jawline and chin area. Once, I touched makeup for the first time and my face broke up with many tiny little bumps. I immediately seek a doctor and was prescribe a gentle form of antibiotic known as tetracycline. And I was cleared. Happened e

    General Advice!

Hi all. I'm new here so forgive me if I'm not doing this right, ha! I'm 17 years old and have had acne for roughly about 3 years now. However, it has come and gone over the years. My acne has always been the same - always around the chin, and mouth. Literally everywhere else on my face is clear. I feel like I am doing everything in my power to have clear, nice skin. I work out, eat incredibly healthy, drink lot's and lot's of water, wash my face and moisturize morning and night and e
  3. I should have posted here years ago, but it’s taken me a while. I have suffered from hormonal acne since I was 22, I was spot free in my teens. Bad skin has plagued me from early 20’s and I’m now 30. The acne is below and around the corners of my mouth. I have allot of white heads. I have reasons to believe my outbreaks are related to my menstrual cycle. Maybe someone is able to suggest what hormones are causing. I’m a little sceptical at paying for hormone testing as I heard it’s not so
  4. Hi, i'm a 30yo male with acne around the jaw, chin, moustache, neck. I never had any acne as a teenager. I've had consistent acne from 23-30. Everything i read says it's due to poor digestion or, however i've tried probiotics at length. My cheeks/nose/forehead are completely clear. I'm completely at a loss. My diet is good. No coffee, very little sugar, dairy etc. Has anyone had the same experience? I'm told it's leaky gut but i'm yet to see a specialist about that. Thanks in advance.
  5. So prom is this weekend and my face, that's been uncooperative for the past year and that I expect not to clear up any time soon, isn't even as flat as I would care for it to be before I apply any make-up on. A little skin history; I've been using the Exposed Acne Kit since January and thinking that it'd help my skin out, it actually made all of my pimples surface which they mentioned was normal but went on for too long for me to stick with it after 5 weeks when it said results would come by the

    Cystic Acne Story

I really need help figuring out what is going on with my skin. Ever since I was a pre teen I remember having pimples on my chin, but only on my chin. I figured it was just hormones and it never really bothered me. Then I started breaking out on my back. Just in this past year or two, I've been experiencing a LOT of nausea and motion sickness that I never had as a child. I also feel very dizzy when I do things when I never used to have a problem even at amusement parks on every single ride.

Hormonal Acne On Chin? Please Help

In the past 2 months I have had some very small acne appear on my chin. I am writing to you guys as I notice it has become more red and has spread to the left side of my chin now too with a few dots appearing above my mouth by my nose, unlike before where it was minor and on the right side on my chin only. I had some break outs (not on my chin at the time) so I used a Neutrogena face wash to try and minimize the redness. I noticed that it didn't help and quickly stopped using it after maybe 3
  8. On my chin and neck there are these little bumps. They are super annoying. I have like nine that showed up out of nowhere. I don't ware makeup, and I haven't treated them yet. I can feel them on my face, and so out of bad habit, I started picking at one of the bigger ones, and it turned all red. I think some puss came out, I am not so sure. You can't see it very well but here is a picture. I don't know what to do. PLEASE SEND ADVICE!

    Adult Onset Acne On Chin

Hi all, new user to this website. Looking for some advice on what to try next!! I never ever had acne as a teenager and then at age of 26 I suddenly developed blister like spots on either side of my mouth on my chin. Was initially diagnosed as a herpes infection but did not respond to aciclovir. Eventually diagnosed as acne and prescribed lymecycline. This controlled my symptoms for about 4 years and then suddenly stopped working. Over the last year and a half I have been prescribed minocy

    Cyst on Chin?

Hi, I have dealt with acne a little bit in high school, but not really in college. I am 22 now and have been dealing with a breakout within a square inch on my face for over a month now and I do not know what is going on. I think it started from mistreating a regular pimple, but now I continue to breakout in this one little area and it seems like as soon as one goes away, another one comes. I can have anything from 3-7 in that one little area. I have this one part of the area that is hard
  11. I HAVE to share an experience that has been surprising to me but that I hope will help others. Please share with those you know who have ongoing acne on their chin. For YEARS -- perhaps, geez. 15? -- I have suffered from chin acne (BTW, I'm 51, female). Whatever it is -- vulgaris, adult, hormonal, nodule, cystic, whatever -- it has been so frustrating and ongoing that I have tried everything under the sun to manage it. If I couldn't get rid of it, I would be content with just covering it up

    Stress-Related Acne

hey everyone, first up, i'm not a native speaker, so there might be some mistakes in my post, please excuse that... i'm turning 25 this month (i'm a girl) and i definitely know that my acne is caused/ promoted by stress/ nervousness. when i get pimples they occur exclusively around my mouth, mostly on my chin. it is not totally bad, always depending on my stresslevel, but it's bothering me a lot and i've been trying to find a solution for so many years. last month i also had my hormones teste

Roaccutane journal 10mg /day I am 24, female, and have been struggling with chin/jawline acne. This is a week by week journal of my skin while on 10mg/day roaccutane. I am currently 3 months in and will update as I progress. Week 1

Today is my first full week of Spiro, 50mg/day with one 25mg supplement at 8:30 AM and another at 1 PM with lunch. I read here that dividing the doses with breakfast and lunch is best...anyone else agree this has worked well for them? I am sorry I am too embarrassed to take pics, but if I did it would probably really throw me into an emotional tailspin. OIL The overall oil decrease in one week is incredible. My scalp is not dry, but not so oily that I have to wash every other day. The oil on
  15. From the album: My Claravis Journey.

ok i haven't posted in a while, but here i am! It's day 75 today. My current dose is 70 mg a day, one 40 mg at night, one 30 mg in the morning. I also take B-complex vitamins. Most of the redness are acne scars. There are very little current pimples. I'm so satisfied with my results. It's only been a couple months and my acne is quickly saying its farewell. I wear a very thin layer of neutrogena shine control make up to cover up my acne scars and to protect my skin from the sun because it does h
  16. Hi everybody! I need your help. Since I have found this forum I have used a lot of advice and have noticeably improved my skin after 2 months. I have used BP routine and have managed to get rid of all inflammations and reduce red spots on my face, but I still have problems on my chin. Basically, I get A LOT of white pimples on my chin in places where my beard is not too dense yet (between lower lip and chin). They look kinda like whiteheads, but if you squeeze them gently they easily rele

  18. Right after my period ends my forehead gets super oily right, under the skin bumps appear all over my forehead, and breakouts start appearing on my forehead as well. This lasts for almost a full week and then right after my skin returns to normal, under the skin bumps go away, and the breakouts start to heal and go away. Does anyone know what causes this and how to prevent this from happening? This happens every month and I believe this is what is preventing the skin on my forehead from getti
  19. Hey there. I started breaking out in the winter and it was actually due to my birth control. Instead of regulating my hormones, it was screwing them up. So I went off birth control and my acne drastically improved AND I started taking a supplement called DIM which balances your hormones. My acne was gone within 1-2 months and I was living acne-free with no make-up for 2-3 months. Then, wouldn't ya know it, I became pregnant and BAM, one zit after another. I don't have really bad acne and it only
  20. Hey all. I am in my late 20's- Female- I started breaking out BAD about 2 years ago. Only on my chin cheeks and jawline, which I always read is hormonal. But its not just around that time of the month, its always. I have tons a hard cystic acne, rarely ever coming to a head, now scarring (and I don't pick) and leaving marks behind. It's MOSTLY on my left cheek and I wash my pillow cases, and clean my phone all the time. I've tried everything from Expensive brands, cheap brands,
  21. Hi, I have these small bumps all over my face and I really want to know how to get rid of them! I saw my GP and she prescribed me tetracycline, which i just finished, and Benzaclin. I've been using the benzaclin for a couple of weeks already but i haven't been seeing that many changes... Please help....
  22. If you have acne on either side of your chin or lower mouth then please read this - It may not be hormonal acne after all! For the past couple of years, I have struggled with (what I thought was) horrible hormonal acne below my mouth, on either side of my chin. It would sometimes go through phases of being more/less fierce, but was usually very prominent. The 'acne' consisted of several lumps/pustules, some of which were pussy and some of which weren't, but it was frequently itchy and painfu
  23. Hello! I've been struggling with acne for years now. Recently I have extremely dry patches where the acne is extremely bad and is very painful and rashy. It will go away for a couple days and then come back with becoming extremely itchy to the point where I make the skin bleed. I am desperate to know what's happening. I have been curious as to if I may have sebohheric dermatitis but don't know for sure. Please help! Thanks.
  24. I'm 21 and even as a teenager I rarely ever experienced breakouts. But lately, I've been getting tons of recurring white heads, mostly around my chin, lips, and jawline. Sometimes the pus is even yellow. When I pop them, no matter what I try, they return--and usually multiply. I've tried drying my acne out with plain Ivory soap, hydrogen peroxide, hand sanitizer with aloe, and even neosporin ointment in the hopes that it'd clear up any bacteria. I do have a few normal pink pimples showing up as
  25. I can't identify what these bumps are. I've been trying to get rid of them for- no exaggeration-- 10 years now (I'm 21). I don't think they're scars because I got them before I ever got pimples. They can get more or (slightly) less prominent depending on what I put on them but they've never gone away entirely. These ONLY exist on my chin and don't exist anywhere else on my body. One derm said he thought it was closed comedones and maybe some milia but only prescribed differin and sent me on my w
