  1. Hello guys! So here's an idea. I think we should have a special topic dedicated to ways to cover up indented scars, either on a daily basis or for special occasions etc. I don't think this topic should be under Cosmetics & Grooming, because it easily gets lost there between all the topics related to acne only. I guess we all know that hiding acne and hiding scars are two different things and most people who suffer from scarring visit the Scar treatments subforum only. Also, covering up sca

    WIDE PITTED SCAR?

I've been sufferring with facial scarring for as long as I can remember. I tried a 30% tca cross but it made my scar wider but shallower. Im not sure if what would be easier to treat a deep small one or a shallow wide one ? Can anyone suggest anything? Ive also tried needling but theyre still there. Please help? I have three scars a white scar on my forehead chicken pox scar and underneath my eye. Also, I'm 20 years old/ asian skin/ medium fair. Has anyone tried success with exc
  3. I know this isn't acne-related, but the post chicken pox scars I have are kind of the same problem that those with acne scars face, I simply do not know what to do about having them treated and possibly removed. I had chicken pox as a small child, quite severely. It scarred, but it's not indented scaring, rather it's raised white spots all over my stomach. It stands out because the raised spots are much lighter than my surrounding skin tone. It looks to me like raised hypo-pigmentation scars. I
  4. My son is 15 and he has been battling acne for years. He was starting to get clear and BAM, he gets Chicken Pox. I can't find much on the web about how to treat the hundreds of scabs that have formed so they don't end up scarring. If anyone has experience with this, I would really appreciate some recommendations for topical applications. I just dread having him deal with Pox scars and Acne...ugh.
  5. Going to have excision soon... Has anyone had laser of any kind of their excision scar? I cannot really find any before and afters for this. Would be interested to see or know how much it can change or if it looks inconspicuous afterwards.
  6. Hi! I am a 24-year-old girl who got chicken pox about 2 months ago. I have about 3 noticeable scars on my face and dark spots all over my body. I am wondering if someone with similar experience can tell me if these nasty spots and scars will go anytime soon...Most of the internet says the scars won't go which made me utterly depressed as I had always felt insecure about my face due to acne and other skin irregularities but some people also told me that their indented scars filled up....I am very
  7. I'm 30 yo male and recently had skin infection which resulted in chicken pox like scar (I had chickenpox as a child). I've attached details of infection and treatment . My dermatologist recommended 6 sessions of roller and depending on the results filler. I had 2 sessions so far and can see some improvements (colour become more lighter and scar tissue lifted somewhat). He says that with this treatment I can get up to 80% improvement. Do you think this is the way to go or there better options? Th
  8. I had chicken pox last year and now have 15 holes on my face. I have done a lot of intensive research on excision as I have had restylane, C02, Non-ablative laser and although much improved, I can see I will always have a huge hole on my forehead which is always going to be visible in certain lighting. Hence, I really want to get this and another on my cheek just under my eye next to my nose, excised. I found this study http://www.buffalo.edu/news/releases/2006/08/8127.html and many
  9. Hi- I have been on the regimen for about 2 years and it has really helped me clear up my acne. I have had a problem with picking my face so from my past acne I was left with a small-medium sized completely round pockmark type scar on my cheek which every day leaves me feeling insecure. This scar is about 5 years old. I also have 3 leftover tiny similar scars from chicken pox about 8-9 years old which are deeper and more jagged in appearance on my upper cheek on the opposite side and on my fore
  10. Hey folks, Just wanted to get some opinion regarding these scars. I recently just finished up with adult chicken pox and I really wished I had suffered through this as a kid b/c it's twenty times worse as an adult. Anyhow now I have about 7 indented scars on my face, the worst one which is smack dab in the middle of my forehead (photo 2 attached). It's not that deep but it's pretty wide. I have also attached a picture of the other smaller scars mostly on the left side of my face. Wo
