  1. Hi, so this isn't to do with regimen supplies, but I wanted to ask a UK specific question so I thought this would be the place to get the right audience... I haven't been to a dermatologist (but might yet.) I'm wondering do they offer scar treatments? Or just roaccutane etc? You hear the US people talking about all kinds of fancy dermarolling and lasers... is anything like that available to us? I guess maybe not on the NHS but do they recommend you get it done privately? Or do they not see sc
  2. Can any one recommend the above? My skin is mega sensitive and I want to try to add BP to my skincare regimen (I have inflammed whiteheads on chin area). Currently I'm using: Simple Moisturising Gentle Face Wash (which I note contains sodium laureth sulphate) and Oil of Olay Sensitive Skin Moisturiser with SPF 15 I have a tube of Panoxyl Aquagel 2.5 but am scared to use it in fear of causing another breakout (I over-zealously used salicylic acid St Ives Scrub and it made my skin terribly re
  3. Its the Clean and Clear truly gentle facial wash, it a mild, soap free, foaming cleanser which ticks all the boxes of Dan's recommendations. Been using it for a few weeks now and love it, it really is very gentle and does not overdry the skin. Its also quite cheap and can be bought in Superdrug, Boots etc. I've always struggled to find a decent cleanser and this is the best one so far.
  4. has anyone ever tried or used black currant seed oil for their acne treatment? if so, did it work for you? i am breaking out super bad, ive always had a problem with acne but just seems to be getting worse..if you know anything about this oil please fill me in thanks!
  5. Hi, I'm new to posting but have been on Dan's regimen for nearly a year. I use panoxyl 2.5% twice a day and I have not had any redness or flaking since the initial 2 weeks. I have spent the year abroad and began using Bioderma whilst in France and now use their Crealine cleansing solution and light moisturiser. This has kept me on an even keel with fairly good skin for over 8 months. However, since coming back to the UK about a month ago my skin has gone wild. It's breaking out and in places I
  6. Anyone know of any around the 5.5 mark that can be bought reasonably? Paula's Choice are all 5.5 but they're a touch expensive. I found one company called Sebamed and might try their face bar.
  7. Hi, My current regime products are cetaphil gentle cleanser wash, panoxly 2.5% and simple anti blemish moisturiser ( I also use jojoba oil). I have recently started to have problems with dry, flakey skin and have been considering changing my moisturiser. I would like to know peoples opinions on Freederms oil free moisturise as a change . .Here is the product link . Here are the list of ingredients: -Aqua, Isononyl Isononanoate, Propylene Glycol, Shea Butter Oleyl Ester, Shea Butter
  8. I've recently bought a moisturiser called Fade Out Protecting Day Cream. I managed to get mine for about £8 from ebay, but apparently it's available in Boots too. Anyway, it's too early to say what the results are, but so far the signs about this product are good. 1) It hasn't broken me out at all (after a week's use) 2) I can feel it sting slightly when I apply it to my face (a sign that the Lactic Acid is doing its job) 3) It's been very sunny recently, so the SPF 15 in this product is doin
  9. Recently bought this and the results have been alot better than using treatment. if you put it on spots when they are coming up it is really effective at stopping them from deveolping. Has anyone else had beneficial results? I highly reccomend it!
  10. Hi, I have a combination skin type as I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I am suffering from some acne on my T-zone mainly and sometimes they seem like blackheads, some are whitehead and some are just bumps and these bumps don't look like blackheads or whiteheads or inflammatory ones. I used Simple kind to skin moisturiser and Nivea soft cream as I have really dry cheeks and both of the products moisturises my dry cheeks well but makes my T-zone look really oily. I have tried Bodyshop's s
  11. Hello all. sorry if this has been said before, but for those who do not want to pay for import fees, (you WILL 99% of the time end up with customs dutys,) get dans products off the american amazon, there is no customs fees, and the item for me arrived much quicker, since it's amazon too theres no stupid extra fees to pay for postage. Just thought I'd spread the word. Edit: Seems some people are unlucky to get customs fees, I don't know if I'm just lucky or what, but for people here in
  12. After a new cleaner after the Clean and Clear Truly Gentle one seems to have been discontinued - recommendations? I used Cetaphil in the past but hated the feel of it, it didn't make my skin feel "clean" and I didn't like how it felt when applying. Hard to explain, guess I'm just not a fan of non-foaming washes.
  13. I can't rave enough about Aquamol Cream - the new moisturiser given to me by my NHS Dermatologist. For me moisturiser was always the hard thing to find on the regimen: Nivea Oil Free was too greasy and never moisturised enough, after an hour or so I'd start flaking again Cetaphil was even worse, so greasy it just wouldn't absorb at all for me Neutrogena Visibly Clear was the best, but it burnt and stung like hell (as it contains Salicylic Acid) and made my face go red, but did moisturise
  14. Hey everyone, I have wasted so much money buying different products but they either had bad ingredients in them or they simply didn't work on my skin.I used to have acne only on my T-zone but now I'm getting it everywhere. I have lot of blackheads, whiteheads and inflammatory red painful ones. I'm currently using the following: Morning: 1. Witch foaming facial wash (its not that amazing to be honest, the foams feel too light) 2. No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Normal / Oily Skin 50ml
  15. Hello all, Panoxyl 2.5% and 5% seem to be discontinued and a lot of people seem to be stressing out over this. On ebay UK there is Benzac AC 2.5% and 5% which is also a gel. Surely this is the obvious replacement? I think its what they mainly use in OZ. Think i might have to try it.
  16. I think I have found a good moisturizer, but I would like to know if anyone here has tried it and would like to share their experience with it. It's called Avene Skin Recovery Cream - http://www.boots.com...ream-40ml_1588/
  17. Hi all, Ok so I am in the UK and I have some of Dan's BP that I bought aaaages ago (it must be over a year now). I tried it twice but broke out in a rash both times, so it obviously doesn't agree with me. Anyway, I have just come across it again and I was wondering if it can go out of date or will it still be ok to use after all this time? If it is still ok I am happy to give it to anyone on here who would like it, but if not I'll just throw it away... J x
  18. Hi all, Can anyone recommend good regime/ cleansers+moisturiser whilst on accutane which I'm due to start next month! I have been on Dan's regime but using neutrogena visibly clear and olay complete care sensitive SPF 15 jojoba, I've been on the regime for a month with a small improvement. The regime/products +BP have left my skin quite dry, I have mild acne. Any other accutane tips are welcome ) Thanks
  19. Ive been eyeing up this seller on ebay.. http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/sure_supplies?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 for sometime, he has good feedback and has sold allot of acne.org products - my question is has anyone bought off him? Hes based in the Uk and imports it in but kinda concerned for obvious reasons - im not sure dan would actually allow someone to buy and sell it on. It works out cheaper and obviously i would have about a two day wait not two week....whaddia think?
  20. I've been doing Dan's regimen for a few months now. My acne cleared in just over a week and I noticed a vast improvement within days of starting. I only use the BP gel every other day to cut down on redness and dry skin. My skin is still clear but I get the occasional small breakout. If you live in Britain I can recommend two good products - 1) Boots expert anti blemish day moisturiser SPF 15. It's for acne prone skin and doesn't block pores. It mixes well with jojoba oil. 2) Boots expert sen
  21. Hi I am looking for some advice (sorry if i am repeating another post) I have very stubborn backacne that doesnt seem to want to shift. I have tried all sorts in the past and nothing seems to clear it. At the mo I am using Oxy face wash (twice a day) and Panoxyl 10 (evening only) and no moisturiser. Can anybody recomend what I else I should use am not sure if backacne is treated the same as facial, oh and ideally I would like to purchase from boots etc. Am grateful for any advice. Many t
  22. It seems dermatologists in the UK, are at the moment very impressed with DUAC gel and this is the most pubscribed gel for acne suffers. Anyone use it apart from me? I feel it works well, although can dry out skin!
  23. I looked on the other thread about sunscreen recommendations and it just tailed off with too many people making unnecessary digressions. At the moment I use Panoxyl 2.5% and have been doing for a year and a half. I have no problems with it. Initial excruciating pain and redness went after a fortnight and it was worth it. I also use Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser. I can't fault it and would recommend it to anyone. Now I know you're not supposed to stay out in the sun long regardless, bu
  24. Im on dan's regime and use dan's products but find this expensive to ship to uk How many others do this and do you think its worth it? i.e. how much do you value your health r u prepared to spend money to have clear skin? just looking for ur opinions
  25. Hey guys, it's been exactly 2 weeks since I started the regimen. I'm using Clearasil Cleanser to wash my face in the morning and in the evening. Although I've got an extremely oily skin, I feel like it's making my skin very dry. Is this normal or are there better cleansers that might help the regimen get the best results? Thanks in advance!
