  1. UnspoiledDude

    December 14th 2016

So this is my first entry, and I think I should start with who I am. Maybe this will help you relate and maybe stuff that helps me will help you! So I'm a 21 year old girl with not too severe acne but enough acne to lower my self-esteem. My journey so far: I had baby skin throughout puberty. Like. My skin was epic. Beautiful. Made from the gods. Okay, maybe not that good but you get the picture. And then it slowly said "F you UnspoiledDude, F you!" and changed into this mess of a skin.
  2. Not much happening. Feel like I have to apply lip balm every 10 minutes all day and I am breaking out in random huge spots all over rather than clusters now. They are those big painful under the skin ones. I am popping them, because of pain and how they look I can't leave them.
  3. I tried to stop obsessing over my acne last few months, without so much success to be honest. I tried limiting eggs for a while and nightshades but didn't seem to do anything, as usual. I have also been trying to eat less foods that make me fart, hoping there is some kind of ludicrous connection between farting and acne lol. That means less fruit and veg and wheat, if any, which means eating like a weirdo and then the inevitable binges like the big girl I am. Acne was so so for last few week

    1 Month 2 Weeks

So my skin is VERY different from when I started accutane. For the past 2 weeks I have been moved up my dosage. RECAP-- (If you're new--read my other posts) -30 mg for 2 weeks -60 mg for 1.5 weeks--too much too soon--BAD Initial Breakout -30 mg odd days, 60 mg even days for 1.5 weeks ***60 mg every day for the past 2 weeks Moving Up Doses Had SOME Side Effects: ((Went from 30 on odd days to 60 on even days)) to 60mg every day. ***DO NOT FREAK OUT FROM THIS LIST--the dryness
  5. After a chocolate binge on Thursday the 9th May and Friday the 10th i have completely removed all refined sugar from my diet + milk. I had a very bad breakout 2/3days after the chocolate binge so from the ~13th but this only last for a few days or so and started cleaning up from about last weds/thurs[15/16]. Something to note is that i also started eating fruit from the 9th May onwards so this well could of been the culprit rather/plus the chocolate. Although i compellingly removed a

    24 days in

So, I'm totally getting some of the initial breakout. I've spent the week battling it and it is starting to heal. I got my chin covered, several spots on my forehead including a massive one that won't go white (and is only starting to deflate now) For the good news: my back is starting to get better. I'm still covered in black heads and got a lot of redness to heal but I have 80% less actual pimples. My chest is totally clear, and I could wear a top I love for the first time in a year. My che

    Day 12

On day 12 of accutane and my skin is really starting to breakout all over, lots of little red pimples everywhere which is not something I've ever really had, hopeing it will get better soon
  8. Okay. I just need to vent a little here. I apologize in advance. WHY is my skin doing this? The initial clearing was absolutely a tease. There's this decently-sized red bump on my cheek and whiteheads on both my forehead and cheeks. This is so uncool. I have to admit that yes, my skin is getting less inflamed and these breakouts will heal like the rest, but goodness this is saddening. Especially without the aid of face makeup. I can't stop looking at my skin. Look at my photo
  9. I'll start off with an update on my "progress", which is not good. I have developed three cysts on my face, one on my hairline (which is quite painful), one on the side of my nose and one on my eyebrow. Gah! I'm doing nothing different; I'm still taking antibiotics once a day, and using the benzoyl peroxide/retinoid gel, and taking the Pill. So I think I need to seriously consider seeing a dermatologist. The longer I leave it the more scars I accrue. I don't think this is the flare up from makeu

    Day 24

So I've decided to start a blog about my journey on accutane. This is my first entry and it's already day 24. I am currently taking 10 mg, but I hope to be given a higher dose at my next dermatologist appointment. Before accutane my skin wasn't horrible but I definitely did have acne, and it is a HUGE blow to my confidence. I literally hide out in my house and refuse to go anywhere or do anything. I have damaged a lot of relationships with friends and family because I am so self conscious when i

    One Month Of Tri-Previfem: Help

I have been on this birth control for 1 month so far and I have been experiencing the worst breakouts. I started birth control for reasons other than acne. My face was pretty clear before birth control and I had never gotten any body acne before using Tri-previfem. I have been getting huge zits within the first month of this pill. Two large cysts on my Chin and two large cysts on my nose. In the past I have only broken out on my chin during that time of the month and that was about it. Now it's

    Week 16 50Mg

A bit early but I need to update, so I went on holiday with 1 active cyst, felt 2 more cysts and a few pimples developing during the journey there. I felt horrible and couldn't believe I was getting such a severe breakout just as I was going away, nothing could describe the despair and anxiety I felt stood in an airport with everyone looking at me and my boyfriend and hs family who have never seen it so bad. Howeverrr, something really unusual happened, by the end of the day, every single cyst

    Day 4: Update

It's now day 4 of taking the treatment. I have noticed some new pimples, but nothing super drastic. They typically pop on their own after I wash my face. I'm trying to wear the least amount of makeup as possible, drinking LOTS of water, and moisturizing regularly. My lips haven't gotten dry yet, but I apply Blistex often in order to delay it as much as possible. It was quite windy today, so skin feels slightly sensitive. My doctor recommended sugar-free gum to help with a dry mouth, bad breath,
  14. I'm busy at school that's why I decided to make my reports one a week (or twice maybe) instead of daily reports! So, It's bad on my chin. 5 new white guests. They were not invited to the party ;( I put BP at 12 AM today and 2 poped themselves. About redness: The area where I put the BP is visible but not red as a very irritated zone. (even it's a little bit "tanned") About Dryness: It's very dry after using the Cleanser but not during the day or th night (except this night) I decided to i
  15. Hello All! I just wanted to document when I really feel like my initial breakout is taking its toll. Last Tuesday I got one rather bothersome spot. It went away quickly, but now several others have popped up over the past week. I woke up today with new spots (cheek, chin) and have officially decided this is my initial breakout unfortunately. ARGHHH. Bright side: nothing cystic! Just inflamed white heads that won't budge unless I pop them. And they pop rather violently, lol, pretty graphic bu

    Update

Hey everyone! So I've been on retin a and clindamycin for about ten days now and I'm starting to get that ever so dreaded initial breakout the breakout is consisting of a very itchy patchy area of tiny pimples. Not any big ones so that's good I guess? I hope this goes away soon ugh! Oh side note , yesterday I started oral antibiotics for a "girl" infection if you know what I mean... Lol so I'll be on that medication for about three days and I'm kinda hoping it helps my acne too ..

    Yasmin Day #6

I'm having a break out. I have around nine whiteheads on my chin that seem to have appeared overnight, and they're sore and red Only three of them are medium/large though. And I have some still forming under my skin. I'm thinking this is a hormonal breakout caused by the pill because I haven't broken out like this in months, I haven't changed anything else, and I have a whitehead on my jawline, which I hardly ever get. I'm going to be putting photos up so I can track my progress. Break
  18. So next day, and my skin is definitely having a breakout, just lots of white heads forming. Super frustrating as I have some events coming up over the next few weeks which I would have loved being clear (not including the damn PIH which doesn't fade even slightly on my skin) for. Still let's soldier on and try and stay positive! After all, it's future me that I'm looking out for here... Hopefully this is the last breakout and Differin (and my persistence) works some kind of magic out. Al
  19. Hi. This is horrible. I got 5 new white pimples on each cheek.. I'm at the end of the WEEK 4.. It's not normal.. I also got 4 redness spots on the nose today and I absolutly don't know why. I've a simple diet with few meat and no milk (including no butter, no cream, no cheese..etc) Please if you experienced the same thing, tell it to me! I don't want to break out again I also need to buy a new regimen kit, (It Takes 3 weeks to deliver) but i'm hesitating because of this breakout.. Hel
  20. So, I've been using Topical Isotretinoin (Isotrex gel 0,05%) and Benzoyl Peroxide 10% (Benzoilat 10 Emulgel) Things ARE NOT better. I'm still worse than before the use of isotrex (I have been using benzoyl peroxide since 1 year ago, so it was isotrex that gave me this breakout) SO I HAVE NOT IMPROVEMENT. (I remember you that I use isotrex in the night and benzolait in the morning) Should I still wait?? I will book a visit to my doctor as near as I can. However, I'm also thinking to change d

    Week 2.8

I've been using Bianca for 2.8 weeks. I should have started this blog earlier but better late than never. So starting from the beginning I used the regimen it worked for a few months and then my acne returned. So I panicked and went to my derm. She prescribed me Biacna gel topical treatment ( 1.2 % clindamycin phosphate and 0.025% tretinoin ) I have not yet experienced and bad side effects like irritation and slight dryness in the first week or so of use. At around 1 week and a few days or so

    Week 6.1

This week was better actually, by no means clear but better. And as I said in my last post it seems to be almost gone and then another breakout. It seems endless. I just washed my face and it always looks worse after I shower or wash it. So I'm down about that. It normally looks less irritated in the morning. Still continuing the process there are a lot of ups and downs to this product but whatever
  23. Hello hello, It has been well over a month since my last post. I think as the tablets become a daily routine and as your skin starts to clear up, you just seem to forget how big of a deal it was when starting on them and therefore forget to update! So lets just recap... Month 1 I was on 20mg a day - had a horrendous breakout (worst I've very had in my life) Month 2 I was upped to 30mg a day - Breakout continued and was not seeing much improvement. I was almost givi
  24. I can not believe how fast two weeks have gone. Wow. I am still breaking out which is mainly my jawline and neck which is my usual problem place. My back pain, well more of an ache, was annoying yesterday so I am seeing my doctor this afternoon. I only took 20mg today as I didn't want to not take one but thought I would take the lesser dose until I have spoke to the doc. From what I read 20mg is still an effective dose, it's just not as effective on the remission side of things. I will upd
  25. Hey everyone! So quite a bit has happened over the past few days. THE AWFUL MISTAKE OF USING SALICYLIC ACID WITH BENZOYL PEROXIDE: A few days ago I made the horrible mistake of using Salicylic Acid toner while using my regimen that contains Benzoyl Peroxide. BAD idea. BAD, BAD, BAD idea. Even though I applied it to 2 zits on my chin using a Q-Tip, it literally burnt out my skin to the point where it felt like someone had numbed my chin! It was AWFUL! I was really worried (as I should h
