    Please Help

I have a few questions regarding my current acne treatment and any kind of help or insight would be really appreciated. I'm a 25 year old guy with oily skin, have been doing acne treatments on and off for the past 10 years or so. Unfortunately, I have had a very bad luck with dermatologists and I can honestly say that not one treatment has helped me for more than a month tops. I have been using Glycolic Acid 20%, a tone adjustment cream for the past 7 months (because my skin got disastrously
  2. I can not believe how fast two weeks have gone. Wow. I am still breaking out which is mainly my jawline and neck which is my usual problem place. My back pain, well more of an ache, was annoying yesterday so I am seeing my doctor this afternoon. I only took 20mg today as I didn't want to not take one but thought I would take the lesser dose until I have spoke to the doc. From what I read 20mg is still an effective dose, it's just not as effective on the remission side of things. I will upd

    This is BAD

    From the album: Annoying Breakouts

I can't believe how bad my skin has gotten! This is extremely embarrassing for me especially around my friends who all have near flawless skin. I always get terrible acne around my mouth and everyone notices!
  4. Evening all, this is my first ever post here. I really appreciate your time and help, and hope i can return the favour for others in a similar situation to myself. First off, i'm a 28 year old male, a healthy eater (no dairy, no junk food), relatively fit. I have sensitive pale combination skin. In my teens i had moderate acne. In the last 14 years my skin has been rarely clear. After some years using Proactive (which helped clear my skin but wasn't strong enough to hold back weekly breakout

    Accutane Week 5

Hi! I've been on accutane for 5 weeks now, but I'm still breaking out and my skin is worse than when I started on this medication. Is this normal? When will I start to see a difference?/when will the accutane kick in? Thanks!

    Week 2.8

I've been using Bianca for 2.8 weeks. I should have started this blog earlier but better late than never. So starting from the beginning I used the regimen it worked for a few months and then my acne returned. So I panicked and went to my derm. She prescribed me Biacna gel topical treatment ( 1.2 % clindamycin phosphate and 0.025% tretinoin ) I have not yet experienced and bad side effects like irritation and slight dryness in the first week or so of use. At around 1 week and a few days or so
  7. Hey guys. So I have mild acne here and there, usually triggered by eating habits but lately I have not been having anything out of the ordinary.. no extra sugar or sodium. I’ve had dairy products sparingly but that’s it. I notice thought, that I frequently (every week or so) get breakouts of a cluster of white heads(?) around my mouth and on my cheek. They’re the type that if I was to scratch it lightly it would pop but they also sting a bit if I exfoliate over them. They usually go away within

    Week 6.1

This week was better actually, by no means clear but better. And as I said in my last post it seems to be almost gone and then another breakout. It seems endless. I just washed my face and it always looks worse after I shower or wash it. So I'm down about that. It normally looks less irritated in the morning. Still continuing the process there are a lot of ups and downs to this product but whatever
  9. I have had acne for almost my entire life. And I start taking antibiotics(oral), but IT did not work. Arter that I started taking acnatac(gel) is also antibiotic and IT contains Clindamycin och tretinoin. My doctor told me to use IT for minimal 3 months and maximum 6. And IT till 4 months, and after that, all my acne were was gone. I continued to use IT, but in month 5 I noticed I got more and more pimples each day, so I went back and got finacia instead, and I have Been using IT for 1 week now
  10. Hello All! I just wanted to document when I really feel like my initial breakout is taking its toll. Last Tuesday I got one rather bothersome spot. It went away quickly, but now several others have popped up over the past week. I woke up today with new spots (cheek, chin) and have officially decided this is my initial breakout unfortunately. ARGHHH. Bright side: nothing cystic! Just inflamed white heads that won't budge unless I pop them. And they pop rather violently, lol, pretty graphic bu
  11. So, I've been using Topical Isotretinoin (Isotrex gel 0,05%) and Benzoyl Peroxide 10% (Benzoilat 10 Emulgel) Things ARE NOT better. I'm still worse than before the use of isotrex (I have been using benzoyl peroxide since 1 year ago, so it was isotrex that gave me this breakout) SO I HAVE NOT IMPROVEMENT. (I remember you that I use isotrex in the night and benzolait in the morning) Should I still wait?? I will book a visit to my doctor as near as I can. However, I'm also thinking to change d
  12. Hi! I was just recently prescribed Accutane and I am about to start my first course of 60/mg day tomorrow. I have been using the regimen EVERY SINGLE DAY (BP followed by AHA+ mixed w/ moisturizer) for about 2 years now, and I'm terrified of what is going to happen to my face if I stop cold turkey. I was thinking of gradually decreasing the amount of BP I use from two pumps down to one until I feel the Accutane is making my skin too dry to use any more. My face has always been extremely oily and

Hey everyone! So I've been on retin a and clindamycin for about ten days now and I'm starting to get that ever so dreaded initial breakout the breakout is consisting of a very itchy patchy area of tiny pimples. Not any big ones so that's good I guess? I hope this goes away soon ugh! Oh side note , yesterday I started oral antibiotics for a "girl" infection if you know what I mean... Lol so I'll be on that medication for about three days and I'm kinda hoping it helps my acne too ..
  14. Hi everyone, I have started taking milk thistle for the past few days, and my acne has been steadily worsening. Could it be an initial breakout from the liver detoxing, or is it an allergy??? Should I stop taking it? I also stopped taking probiotics at the same time I introduced milk thistle - could this be related to my breakout? Do probiotics help while taking milk thistle? PS. sorry if I grossed you out with my photos. I think from now on I will be walking around with a bag on my head s

  16. Hi, I just wanted to ease my mind regarding the effects of stopping birth control pills especially on the skin which is usually acne breakouts. I have been on Alesse 28 for 4 months only. I am just wondering if anyone who took pills for a few months still got bad acne breakouts? I’m quitting BC pills this week but I’m also scared about its side effects. Please help me. Thanks : (
  17. Did you have an intial breakout on yasmin (birth control pil)? If yes, then how long did it last (so I mean how long did you continue to break out), when did it start and how long did it take for you to get clear, so even for the scarring to start fading. Any tips for managing the breakouts?
  18. I'm just wondering if kiwifruit causes breakouts for many people. It's so nutritious, I hope that isn't what's causing the recent breakout.
  19. i dont know if i can do this anymore, I'm so sick of my acne. never had any breakouts throughout my high school years until april 2018, my cheeks started breaking out horribly. ive literally tried everything under the sun but nothing has worked and now my acne is getting worse. the post inflammatory erythema are so bad, they make my skin look like i have active pimples. ive cried several times because my acne, and i pray almost everyday for me to have clear skin again. and oh boy oh boy, i

    My Accutane ~Journey~

So it's day 45 on accutane and I'm still waking up with cystic below-the-skin acne, as well as smaller, sometimes painful whiteheads. I'm so bad with picking at them too, I just think they look so gross! My skin is worse now than it ever was before accutane. I read that the less severe your acne is, the less severe your IB will be - clearly this is not always the case! I'm experiencing almost 0 side effects minus kinda dry lips. Is my dosage high enough? Is this normal/what can I do to fix this?
  21. Ok so to start off i've had acne since i was 13 y/o (17 now). It was very mild at first but the last years it's has been mild/moderate. I've tried a bunch of stuff including the acne.org regimen (which didn't work btw). So about a month ago i think, i just couldn't be asked to need one extra hour every morning anymore and have a constantly red or over-dried face which the regimen gave me. So I started putting less and less BP on until I was literally only using very little of it as a spot treatm
  22. Hello everyone. I was put on birth control almost 3 weeks ago to regulate my hormones and hopefully help clear my skin up. I'm also on differin at night aswell. The second week is almost over and the beginning of this week was hell. I had a lot of cysts on one side of my face and around my mouth. Now that this week is almost over, those cysts are thankfully almost gone. However: I seem to still be breaking out in a LOT of really tiny pimples all over my face, even in places I never used to brea
  23. Heyyy all my acne friends!! I'm new to this page and wish I could get some help! 1,5 years ago I were prescripted antibiotics (tetralysal) for mine at that time moderate acne! I think that was the worst decision of my life, it made my face break out like never before and didn't even improve as I continued with the pills... today I still have acne not as bad as when on the tetralysal but still pretty bad for me and enough bad to destroy sooo much in my life! Depression etc from this... I have bee

    Month 3, Day 5 Pic 2

From the album: Accutane Journey Results

This and the other two pictures are from the end of 2nd-during 3rd month of my Accutane treatment. As you can see, my skin was terrible. I had cysts all around my jawline and some on my cheeks, several whiteheads, scabs, everything basically. I didn't like going out at all and sometimes I didn't want to go to school. It was really really bad physically and psychologically. My face would hurt whenever I smiled or ate, and I was extremely self conscious about myself. What hurt the most was the

    B5 Bad Breakout.

Hi everyone, I am new here. I have spent years and years trying to clear my acne. I was becoming clear until around September time. I do not have a clue what brought my acne back as I have not changed a thing. Anyway I started taking 5grams of vitiman b5 1 week and 3 days ago. It seemed ok the first 2 days , if anything I thought I saw an improvement and then all of a sudden my skin has broken out like crazy! I mean cyst type spots that I rarely get. I have mild to moderate acne. I als
