How long does accutane take until break outs stop?
mb100 posted a topic in Prescription acne medications
I am only a week into my accutane treatment and I haven’t gotten a single new pimple. I can’t remember the last time I went a whole week without getting at least 1 new pimple. So, is this just a coincidence or can accutane really start working that fast?- 1 reply

Hiya. I've been loitering around these message boards for ages! I wonder if anyone can help me at all. I'm 20, and I've been suffering with acne since I was about 13. It's pretty mild most of the time, but still bugs me enough for me to often feel down about it. I was taking Yasmin for about 2 years (for my skin- not birth control), and I seem to remember my acne clearing up a little at the beginning, but over the past few months I've frequently experienced more breakouts. Sometimes they ar

Hi! Im going to India for 2 weeks this Friday, and am looking forward to it, but I am worried about how it will affect my skin, as I know that it will be very hot and humid! Do you have any tips for preventing breakouts whilst travelling and when I am away? I have mild acne and it is not too bad right now, with makeup it barely noticeable and I really dont want it to get any worse- especially as I am going back to school a few days later! I will try not to wear makeup when I am there. I am also

Acne, scarring, insecurities, and depression
lightningg posted a topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
I've had breakouts since i was about 13 or 14. It was never bad until the summer after my sophomore year(2014) . What can i say? summer and my skin don't go well. It was just my face that was the main problem. I had never broken out on my cheeks before and i didn't know how to deal with it. Being unknowledgeable, i didn't really know what to do but pick hoping it would make them go away.. ugh what a dumb thing to do. Obviously it led to hyper pigmentation and red scars which made me hide 24/7 a-

I'm on a prescription regimen of applying clindamycin phosphate every night and Differin every other night. A few weeks ago I slept over a friend's house and was too embarrassed to take off my make up, so I slept in it. Will this make me break out AND totally ruin the regimen?

Quinoderm is a topical cream containing benzyl peroxide which can be applied on spots and breakouts. It can be purchased over the counter of through a GP or Dermatologist. Pros: Dries out spots. Cons: I used it too much and got a massive chemical burn from the benzyl peroxide which was very red, sore and painful. Recommend? No. Accidentally one night before bed I applied too much. It burnt my face at first, but after 10 years I'm used to things burning my face and sometimes find that gr

Hey Guys! So I've been doing the regimen every morning and night for over a year now, and how it has worked really well, I am ashamed to say that I don't include moisturising in it. My skin is naturally VERY oily and also dry at the same time, in which it starts of dry once I have washed it and then becomes very very greasy about an hour afterwards. This at first made me not want to moisturise but after a while I tried it for a couple of months, on the 4/5th day I had a small breakout, at the ti

I've been on the regimen for 11 months, it'll be a year on Christmas. This time last year my skin was hideously caked in cysts and I was at the end of my rope. I pretty much desperately promised I would make a change and a few months into it I did get clear. I lived 2014 overall free of acne! My skin was baby smooth and clear and man, that was fun. Well, the last few weeks my chin is starting to break out all over again. I've literally changed nothing about how I do my regimen. I've never stoppe

Hello everyone! To start off, I've been dealing with mild acne for a year and a half now, especially on my forehead and the side of my cheeks. My skin is pretty oily, especially on my forehead and around my nose. I've done everything... Chemical peels, epiduo, different face washes, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, etc. (except for accutane which i have no interest in taking) Nothing seemed to work! I decided to do home remedies and just go natural without using all the harsh ch
