  1. I have had red blotches on my cheeks for months. They are completely flat and on the same spot on each side of my face. They only flare up when I drink tea, shower, or look downward. When I wake up in the morning my skin is completely clear what are they and how do I get them to go away? Also I eat a very healthy vegan diet and rarely drink or wear face makeup. I use a cleanser that my dermatologist recommended but it still hasn't helped. Here's some pictures http://imgur.com/mmyqXxD http://
  2. Hello. I have decided to post a picture of my condition, as hard as this is for me to post this. I am desperate and at the breaking point. I need advice so badly. I have suffered with acne since I was 12 and I am now 21. I am in tears right now because I was trying to clear up in time for college, and now I only have 2 weeks left until the semester starts. I have been eating very healthy for years, and a few months ago I completely cut out gluten, sugar, dairy, and all processed foods. Basically
  3. I’m 18, I’ve had acne since middle school however it was never bad and never hurt my self esteem really until my sophomore year of high school. My acne started to become more serious but still wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. I started washing my face and using salicylic acid regularly, my skin would get dry because I never used moisturizer but not flakey or anything and I had virtually no excess oil. The acne didn’t improve so I cleansed more and more harshly, went to the doctor and they ha
  4. 20 year old male. Sometimes I break out and sometimes I don't. Honestly, this is how it goes down. I have clear skin and then I go out on the weekend, party/drink a lot/barely sleep at all and then by Tuesday I am breaking out. By Friday I am clear again and the process repeats itself. Terrible I know. Anyways, I am using Differin 0.3% every night and Acanya every morning. Mousturize morning and night. My face seems to always be red. I don't know what it is. I am barely ever in the sun (work ind
  5. insecure bad bitch

  6. After a few hours, my make up becomes like this. Any idea what is wrong? Any foundation I use will result to this.. It looks like the foundation surrounds every pore I have, even those that cannot be seen! (Beside mouth area). It's really weird. I'm guessing it could be the oil coming out of the pore which dissolves the make up. Hence looking like that. But how do I fix it!? It's so gross!
  7. Hi guys, I need advice or help regarding an extremely stupid mistake i made that might have ruined the skin on my forehead. My friend was prescribed Benzac Benzoil Peroxide 10% wash & Clindoxyl for acne on his face and body due to chemotherapy treatment he has been going trough the last few months. One evening i noticed i had 4 pimples on my forehead which has up until early April always been smooth, normal and acne free. I freaked out and with complete ignorance decided to lather on t
  8. Yesterday I did an at home 25% Mandelic Acid Peel from makeupartistchoice.com. I did it to treat hyperpigmentation, red marks from shaving, breakouts on the sides of my face and some ingrown hairs. Today, my forehead is covered in small red marks. It looked much better before the peel even happened. The sides of my face have very minor peeling but are mostly covered in red blotches. I discontinued using tretinoin roughly 36 hours before the peel, did not leave the acid on for more than 3 minut
  9. The photos are taken with a bad quality camera so it doesn't show up too well, but as well as acne* I have this persistent blotchiness and uneven skin. even when my skin is clear-ish my forehead, nose, and chin especially (where I get the most spots) I have this persistent redness and blotchy complexion. I'm very self-conscious without make-up when I feel like even people with worse acne don't have the same awful skin tone? I am naturally very pale which probably doesn't help. I've considere
  10. so here's my first post, Hi, i'm 18 and I have moderate acne and oily skin. It's improved much since last year, which i'd say when it was really severe..cysts and all, which i use to conceal, though i stopped because i'd overdo it to the point where i'd irritate my skin and clog the pores. A dramatic difference, but now i'm dealing with the aftermath it seems. I'm left with scarring, red marks, blotchy skin, and of course more acne that doesn't wanna go away. (whiteheads, blackheads, occasio
  11. Hello all! This is my first post ever on acne.org, though I have been a long-time lurker. I am a 25-yr-old Asian female, and I have suffered from acne for about 6 years now. I have tried everything from benzoyl peroxide to Accutane, but unfortunately my acne problems still persist. But these days, that is not my only problem. I had been using clindamycin gel and adapalene 1% for about 2 months, but I noticed that I started to get this rash-like bumps all over my face. It became extremely it
  12. last night one this place itched a lil' and became red (looked inflammed).i applied some faceclin gel(clindamycin + nicotinamdie gel) and next morning seemed alright. just a lil' irritated but still alright. but this evening, the same place again started getting itchy and went red and the area seemed raised and bumpy. faceclin gel applied again this time. but the itchiness and redness remained for longer time. finally it left bump red skin which when touched feels like a underskin cyst formi
  13. I'm 30 yrs old (male) and I started getting consistent acne out of nowhere earlier this yr. I've had a few pimples here and there in the past, but they would come and go. Been breaking out really bad for the past couple months though. I started getting curious as to why this would happen all of a sudden as an adult so I went to a dermatologist. She ended up writing me a prescription for tretinoin .025% and clindamyacin phosphate lotion. I only applied a pea size amount on every third nig
