  1. Hello so I have been on this journey to get clear skin for the last six painful months!!! It has truly been a roller coaster ride trying to find the correct medications that are good for my skin to help it stay clear! I have now been on tretinoin for 12 weeks and my skin has cleared up a bit from before, however I still get some breakouts but am hoping that with time this problem will subside. One of my top concerns now though is ACNE SCARS!!! They are a real pain. Even after my ugly inflamed ac
  2. i dont know why but im stll having acne outbreaks but this one im going thru now is by far worse than any I've had n a while. I have 11 "knots" in my face neck and hair line. 3. Hi, i just started the DKR last week. today is day 4 ive seen improvements on my skin, my zits are gone. i still a one more and actually im suffering from blemishes. i have so many blemishes from 2 years ago, i did not pop any zits but i still get blemishes after the zits are gone, i dont really have scars. just blemishes all over my face. i use makeup to cover them up, but im really tired of it, and i dont want anything on my face! the DKR is drying out my skin, not that bad but it does
  4. I came across on e bay many face creams/gels that contain snail mucus. It is said that snail mucus is highly rejuvenating for damaged skin, yet not irritating. It is not considered as comedogenic and i wonder if a cream like that might be effective on scars. Anyone tried a cream like this? Also, i noticed that most of those creams are shipped from asian countries. I assume that their usage is more popular there. So, do you asian friends know something more about their effectiveness?
  5. I'm about to start month FIVE out of six on accutane, and my face still looks awful. Dry patches all over my face. Awfully chapped lips. Tired ALL THE TIME. It's mostly just red little scabby things but they have been there for EVER. Like literally at least 2-3 weeks... Why isn't my skin better??? That's my biggest concern and fear.... I use coconut oil on my skin in the shower, and neutrogena oil free moisturizer... Neutrogena make up remover wipes on my skin.,. Is any if this making it worse
  6. Hey. I'm a 15 year old girl, with moderate acne, i would say. I've had acne since i was 12, though, when i was 12 it wasn't as bad as now. I have acne on my cheeks, and some on my forehead and chin. The acne on my forehead is mostly concentrated between my eyebrows. The acne i have, is VERY red, i have red marks all over my face, but they aren't really bumps, just red marks under some acne/deep down under my skin. I also have pimples on my cheeks and forehead, like, little pimples that sticks ou
  7. Hello everybody, I just wanted to share my story with you guys. I'm now 24 and up until a year ago, I never had spots, not even through my teenage phase, my skin was clear. 8 months ago I started to develop red flat spots on my face, they just appeared as red marks and not lumpy spots. They were completely flat and they have been there for the last 8 months, I have recently got a few more, but again, they're just flat and red/pink. My skin is quite fair, so the pinkness/redness is quite visi
  8. Hey everyone. So I usually don't post on these things, but I need to seek some advice at this point. I'm 19 and I struggle with cystic acne. I currently use a medication prescribed by my dermatologist, which works okay, but it's definitely not getting rid of the marks and dark spots that are left over from the pimples. I'm trying out this Neosporin Johnson's cream that I've heard some positive things about. Been trying it for a week now, but it seems like some of these dark spots aren't fad
  9. Hi. Im still new here. So, ive been having acne since im 12. Mostly on the cheeks part. Rarely on the forehead and blackheads on my nose. Now, im already 16. I sometimes pop my pimples because its so disturbing and make myself lost confident in meeting people. I live in hot country (25 - 34 degree) Ive been using alot of products, really. I used Simple cleanser but nothing change. The condition is still the same. And i changed to St. ives Green Tea Cleanser and using pure argan oil for my
  10. Hi, I'm a 15 year old girl who has had acne since I was in grade 4. For the first 1-2 years, I just had it on my forehead and now it's cleared up. But from the sixth grade till the present day, I've had to deal with Acne on my cheeks, both cheeks. People say that my acne is considered mild, but to me, I just find it absolutely disgusting and horrible. If it were just pimples I had to deal with then I think it wouldn't look as bad, but I have scars and blemishes and overall it looks terrible
  11. Hi everyone I am on my third month (almost fourth) of Roaccutane and my skin is dry. I have dry patches on my nose, cheeks and jaws (I also have dry patches all over my arms). I was on 20mg for the first two months but now for the last 3 I am on 40mg. The first two months were okay using my Clinique anti blemish solutions as the dryness was nothing major, but now it's getting flaky I bought the laura mercier silk creme foundation today which is working really well and doesn't cling to the dry
  12. I need some advice, hopefully from someone who has experienced something similar to me. I'm a 23 year old male who has had very mild acne throughout my life. In high school I would get a few pimples and red marks like most teenagers, but in college my acne mostly went away except for the occasional pimple or blemish. That all changed after I graduated college. When I was 22 I began to notice pimples popping up here and there. Over the next few months my acne gradually developed into very red
  13. My name is Charlotte and I've had acne since i was 12 years old. Like most people acne has become my biggest enemy. I wake up every morning and the first thing i do is feel my face in fear of new spots appearing! Over the years i've tried countless treatments consisting of topical creams and antibiotics. Everything seems to work for a while and then after a few months, BAM, i'm back to square one. I'm 19 (20 in April) and in my second year of university. My acne has started to effect my life so
  14. hello friends! i've have had acne(on my cheeks, forehead mostly) but although most are healed,i still have the marks left. they are not scars as such(no unevenness) except for two spots which have a lil' raised surface.it's not something one can see unless very close or touching but the dark brown colour they(both the raised spots) have wont go...nor do the normal brownish/reddish marks do. i'd been prescribed 'NILTAN' cream for the dark spots. and my dermatologist told me that she expects th
  15. Hey guys, I think I've found an effective way to speed up the process of fading blemishes and red/dark marks. Ever tried hot/cold therapy? Basically it involves alternating hot and cold temperatures, typically used on swelling of sorts, but I do it on my face. Only instead of ice I just used cold water. What I do is every morning before I go out and a couple hours before bed, I would first wash my face with warm water(use a cleanser if you want). Do this for a 30 seconds or so, then imm
  16. Hello all! I started the regime back in november 2011, and as soon as I started my acne cleared in 3-4 days! But since then, apart from having an orange glow thanks to the BP, my face still has red blemishes, not too bad, but theres no reason to strive for peach clear skin is there not? The BP is keeping my skin clear but it doesnt seem to do anything about the blemnishes. My regime: Morning wake up, cleanse and mousterise skin (I do not apply BP in the morning, it's too much, and it
