  1. Hiya, it's your girl checking in again hahaha So my skin's pretty much on the road to recovery but then BAMM a few bumps started popping up because it's that time of the month again. Oh, I'm a 21 year old female who has combination skin. I can't seem to have clear skin because this cycle will repeat: road to clear skin > hormonal acne comes > hormonal acne goes but leaves a few bumps and fading marks > repeat. So I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there with any sol
  2. Hey guys, here is my blog post on my 2 week-progress. I cleared my acne through a specific acne-diet. Tell me what you think! Cheers https://acnedetected.com/2018/11/01/2-weeks-progress/
  3. I get few pimples and couple Whiteheads, some blackheads on nose, but I get cysts around my eyes and nose and under my neck, most aren’t noticeable but I can feel them..... I have red blemishes too
  4. I have always had clean skin until April of this year that I started getting cystic acne. I don't know what's causing it I just know that I have tried so many things and none of them work. I went to the dermatologists who's injected me with about 8 cortisone shots this year alone and the cystic acne keeps coming back in the same places. I have to pay out of pocket at the dermatologist office and its getting so expensive. He gave me tretinoin cream, veltin, and a spray that smells like chlorine
  5. I started Accutane 20MG a day over a week ago (mostly for my body acne) and I was just wondering if it'll clear blemishes/marks left by previous acne on my arms and neck. I have heard that it'll go over time but it's actually been a few months like this and I see no sign of them going. Thanks.
  6. First off, I'm a 23 y/o Male with Combination/Sensitive/Acne Prone Skin. I've been using Dans 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide for just over a month and a half, once a day (at night) and it really works. It cleared my Acne like nothing within 4 days and within the first 2 weeks of using it, i only encountered one pimple that disappeared in 2 days and after that, not a single one. But since Thursday night (which is 2 days from now) I've run in to a problem where certain areas on my face like the right sid
  7. Hi, my name is Avro and I am 31 yrs old. I am from India ( Kolkata, West Bengal). I do not know, are there any one from India, Kolkata. Acne is not a new thing for me, but things have worsen. I got acne scars along with blemishes and pigmentation. which is totally screwing me day by day or let say minute by minute. Deep down, I know that I am not at all OK with the situation but I don't let the emotion run in front of anyone. The reason is, there is no point in doing so ether. Well, I have nev

  10. Dear acne sufferers, If you haven't already tried taking a zinc supplement for your acne, then you must start now! Here's why: * There is a summary at the bottom of this post for those who don't want to read the whole thing. I have suffered with acne for years. Not severe acne, fortunately, but with moderate acne that just never seemed to respond to any form of treatment. Trust me, I've tried it all (except for Accutane). It nearly makes me sick to my stomach to think about the exorbita
  11. Hey everyone. So I usually don't post on these things, but I need to seek some advice at this point. I'm 19 and I struggle with cystic acne. I currently use a medication prescribed by my dermatologist, which works okay, but it's definitely not getting rid of the marks and dark spots that are left over from the pimples. I'm trying out this Neosporin Johnson's cream that I've heard some positive things about. Been trying it for a week now, but it seems like some of these dark spots aren't fad
  12. Hi. Im still new here. So, ive been having acne since im 12. Mostly on the cheeks part. Rarely on the forehead and blackheads on my nose. Now, im already 16. I sometimes pop my pimples because its so disturbing and make myself lost confident in meeting people. I live in hot country (25 - 34 degree) Ive been using alot of products, really. I used Simple cleanser but nothing change. The condition is still the same. And i changed to St. ives Green Tea Cleanser and using pure argan oil for my
  13. Hey guys, So I'm brand new to this website and I have a question regarding my acne and what i should do. So a little about me, my name is Dominick and I am 20 years old. I have been suffering from severe acne for most of my life. I had severe acne on my face for many years until I found a gift from the heavens called isolaz treatments. If you are unfamiliar with this, It's a laser treatment where you go to a place that does it and they basically put creams on your face along with the laser. This
  14. Hi, I'm a 15 year old girl who has had acne since I was in grade 4. For the first 1-2 years, I just had it on my forehead and now it's cleared up. But from the sixth grade till the present day, I've had to deal with Acne on my cheeks, both cheeks. People say that my acne is considered mild, but to me, I just find it absolutely disgusting and horrible. If it were just pimples I had to deal with then I think it wouldn't look as bad, but I have scars and blemishes and overall it looks terrible
  15. Hello everyone, I would like to share with you a couple of ideas about acne and skin healing. Here’s the thing: There is much talk about the emotional side-affects of acne which can leave visible scars not only on the surface of the skin, but on the soul as well. However, what I have come to realize after my 15-year long struggle with acne, is that our emotions are not a result of acne, but rather a direct cause of skin breakouts. After much reading and studying, I have come to a conclusion t
  16. I am gluten intolerant, anemic/have nutrient malaborption etc. I am a recovering sugar addict as I was starting to get some serious hypoglycemic issues.. I also have dermatilamania so I've picked every pimple I've ever gotten, I also pick it a further 10 times until it scars.. not that I want it to, it's an OCD thing. Does anybody have any advice for blemishes? Should I use the regime for these? I have dry scars/brown spots. Also, sometimes my skin goes completely clear! but when it is irritat
  17. I'm about to start month FIVE out of six on accutane, and my face still looks awful. Dry patches all over my face. Awfully chapped lips. Tired ALL THE TIME. It's mostly just red little scabby things but they have been there for EVER. Like literally at least 2-3 weeks... Why isn't my skin better??? That's my biggest concern and fear.... I use coconut oil on my skin in the shower, and neutrogena oil free moisturizer... Neutrogena make up remover wipes on my skin.,. Is any if this making it worse
  18. Hi there, I'm new to Acne.org and I am in desperate need of some answers. I am almost 30 years old, female, and I have had some sort of acne since I was 14, when I hit puberty. I've attached some pictures and to most people, it doesn't look like much. This is a good day. Most day I have red spots, inflamed bumps, and so many blackheads I don't think it would be exaggerating to say millions. I wash my face morning and night with 4-5 different products and creams, shower daily, have used every sin
  19. I came across on e bay many face creams/gels that contain snail mucus. It is said that snail mucus is highly rejuvenating for damaged skin, yet not irritating. It is not considered as comedogenic and i wonder if a cream like that might be effective on scars. Anyone tried a cream like this? Also, i noticed that most of those creams are shipped from asian countries. I assume that their usage is more popular there. So, do you asian friends know something more about their effectiveness?
  20. I need some advice, hopefully from someone who has experienced something similar to me. I'm a 23 year old male who has had very mild acne throughout my life. In high school I would get a few pimples and red marks like most teenagers, but in college my acne mostly went away except for the occasional pimple or blemish. That all changed after I graduated college. When I was 22 I began to notice pimples popping up here and there. Over the next few months my acne gradually developed into very red
  21. Hey. I'm a 15 year old girl, with moderate acne, i would say. I've had acne since i was 12, though, when i was 12 it wasn't as bad as now. I have acne on my cheeks, and some on my forehead and chin. The acne on my forehead is mostly concentrated between my eyebrows. The acne i have, is VERY red, i have red marks all over my face, but they aren't really bumps, just red marks under some acne/deep down under my skin. I also have pimples on my cheeks and forehead, like, little pimples that sticks ou
  22. Hey there guys! I know this topic must get posted a lot, but I just wanted to collect people's advice on fading acne blemishes. The Regimen appears to be working for me (less is more it seems!), and I have been using the Bravura London 15% Glycolic Acid Night Treatment every night, however I haven't seen any improvement as of yet, and it does sting the face a little when I put it on, so I'm worried it irritates my skin more than improves it. My skin is very sensitive, and although the acne has p
  23. Hi everyone I am on my third month (almost fourth) of Roaccutane and my skin is dry. I have dry patches on my nose, cheeks and jaws (I also have dry patches all over my arms). I was on 20mg for the first two months but now for the last 3 I am on 40mg. The first two months were okay using my Clinique anti blemish solutions as the dryness was nothing major, but now it's getting flaky I bought the laura mercier silk creme foundation today which is working really well and doesn't cling to the dry
  24. Hello everybody, I just wanted to share my story with you guys. I'm now 24 and up until a year ago, I never had spots, not even through my teenage phase, my skin was clear. 8 months ago I started to develop red flat spots on my face, they just appeared as red marks and not lumpy spots. They were completely flat and they have been there for the last 8 months, I have recently got a few more, but again, they're just flat and red/pink. My skin is quite fair, so the pinkness/redness is quite visi
