  1. Hi readers I guess this is my 1 year and 2 months on differin. My situation right now is 70% better. The rest is uncontrol acne that would keep coming. I start to think that this is the most I could get from differin and benzac. I still have pastule, papule and cyst 2 - 3 in each week. Eventhough, I apply benzac all over my face at noght and spot benzac on the cyst itself, it does no effect or little effect to the cyst. My dermatologist recommend me to change to retin-a. Has anyone ever switch
  2. Always checking up on this forum as I've been suffering with acne/blemishes on and off since I was around 15 (am now 23!), but this is my first post.. Just interested to know what experiences you guys have had with certain oils? For instance, I'm pretty sure it was from this website that I first started looking at using oils as a cleanser/moisturiser a few years ago, and I started off using Jojoba after the glowing reviews it had. For the first few days my skin and hair felt absolutely unbelie
  3. Hi. So I haven't posted anything on this forum in quite awhile because I haven't really needed to. HISTORY: I began getting mild acne around 3 years ago, mostly just whiteheads. Over the course of 2 years my acne got irritated and discolored. I wasn't happy. So let's start with around 2 years ago. I first started using Benzoyl Peroxide 0.1% for my acne in the fall of 2011. Though my acne started to subside, nothing drastically changed. In March of 2012 I decided to try the Acne.org Regimen.
  4. So I've been using Dan's BP for a little over a year now. It's been the best thing for my acne that I've ever tried - but recently, after a year of clear skin, I've been experiencing minor spots and other types of minor acne. It's not that noticeable and for the most part my skin is clear, but what's disturbing is that they keep coming back. Here's the type of acne that I'm getting right now (it's different from when I first started the regimen) SPOTS: Reddish pink spots that are typically und
  5. So lately I've been really interested in organic skincare. I don't know why. My whole motto about skincare is, "If it's working, why change it?" or "If it's not broken, don't fix it".... But is it really working? I was looking through my pile of what I call "skincare" products, which are basically a bunch of chemicals, and honestly, I thought I knew what ingredients to avoid but I don't think I know the half of it. I can't tell you ANYTHING about 98% of the ingredients in my products. None. Now
  6. I've been using the acne.org regimen for a month now, however my skin is still red from the lingering old spots, how can I make my skin heal faster?
  7. Hello guys, i have had acne for over 13 years now. my acne was not severe it was rather moderate. my problem is that I am never satisfied with my skin. If i see a little spot, sometimes other people can't even see it, i start squeezing and squeezing. I just can't stop, i hate it when things are not perfect. Sometimes I can stand in front of the mirror for hours and squeeze all the things out. in the end my face looks like a mess. i am so frustated, i don't want to go out anymore. i just

  9. Hello All, So I'm a 22 year old female and have mild acne. I am also on the pill (Ortho Tri Cyclen) just for reference. I have done a little research, and as far as I can tell, my chin/jawline acne is due to hormones. However, I thought that the pill was supposed to help regulate this? I keep my hands off my face, I don't rest my chin on my hands... I use mild products, and very few products. Despite all this, I keep getting one or two deep, under the skin pimples on my chin/ja
  10. The past year I have had bad acne. After going to the derm for my first time I was on epiduo. After no results I stopped and then it was summer which helped clear my skin up. Then fall hit and winter and my face got as worse as ever. Everything my doc derm put me on didn't work and I said screw this! I then started to wonder why so many people have acne these days as opposed to when our grandparents lived. The reason I came up with is when we got our first pimple we freaked out. We bought cleans
  11. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any advice about treating dark blemishes left behind after spots. The blemishes look worse in low light conditions.i have head them a while.is there anything that my GP could give me to get rid of the blemishes? Cheers
  12. Hello everyone, let me just start by saying I've been dealing with severe acne for most of my life. Its only been most recently (Last year or so) that my hormone levels have calmed down to a reasonable level. Back in the day I had some of the worst of it and let me just say I feel for the people out there who go looking through these forums for answers, especially the ones who have battled on the same playing field as I. I know how utterly hopeless and socially debilitating it can be. As for
  13. Hey. I'm a 15 year old girl, with moderate acne, i would say. I've had acne since i was 12, though, when i was 12 it wasn't as bad as now. I have acne on my cheeks, and some on my forehead and chin. The acne on my forehead is mostly concentrated between my eyebrows. The acne i have, is VERY red, i have red marks all over my face, but they aren't really bumps, just red marks under some acne/deep down under my skin. I also have pimples on my cheeks and forehead, like, little pimples that sticks ou
  14. I have been using Benzoyl Peroxide religiously for about 2 years to treat my mild/moderate acne. I've gone from using 0.1% only at night, to using 2.5% morning & night, to using 2.5% just at night... and let me say, it honestly has done wonders for my skin. However, it is such a hassle to keep up with. I've been so afraid to break out again that I haven't gone off of it since. I wish that I would've tried other methods of treating acne before I started using BP. If any of you guys have any

This is my skin before Accutane... Beneath the makeup I was still suffering from cystic acne but that has cleared up two weeks into my course. *sigh of relief*
  16. I had a couple of dark spots from old pimples so i used over-the-counter anti dark spots gel on my face which basically whiten the dark spot. Apparently, i overused the gel and now i have some spots which are whiter than the rest of my skin. What are my options? Thanks in advance. It kinda looks like this (not me) : http://missinglink.ucsf.edu/lm/DermatologyGlossary/img/Dermatology%20Glossary/Glossary%20Clinical%20Images/hypopigmentation.jpg
  17. Hi there. I'm a 20 year old guy who had my first ever breakout a year ago. It only lasted a month or two but since then I've had hear brownish slightly red marks on my cheeks. I don't know if any of you have had this but will it go away with time? It's been 8 months since I've been clearer and they have hardly faded. Only a little have they faded. I tried hydroquinone 4% for a few weeks but it made them turn redder and it looked inflamed so I was scared to continue. Jojoba oil to remove sunscr
  18. So a few months ago I got a pimple and popped it- I know it's a bad thing, but it was a really big whitehead- and everything seemed to going smoothly for a couple of days after. However, the inflammation stopped and, from as far as I can tell, the redness has stayed roughly the same for about 1.5-2 months. I have gotten red marks before, but this is very unusual. When I curl my lip and look really closely at the mark, I see a small amount of white pus in the center, almost as if I didn't get all
