  1. Hi guys, So I'm new to this and not sure if I got this in the forum or not - so go easy on me if I haven't Basically I was wondering if anyone knows of any products that can help me to stop scratching my face at night. I seemed to be doing this in my sleep and so I am unaware of it. I've tried to use mittens at night, didn't work. Have tried anti histimanes, which seem to keep it somewhat in control. Use olive oil occasionally but even that seems not to work these days. My skin has become s
  2. Wound Healing in the Skin

Stage 1: Blood Clotting Stage 2: Inflammation Stage 3: Healing Stage 4: Remodeling Acne Healing The Bottom Line The skin is a complex organ that serves as the body's first protective barrier against the environment. Because the skin is such an important barrier, it must be able to heal itself quickly after an injury, whether the injury is a cut or an acne lesion. The wound healing process is quite complicated. To understand how it works,...
  3. Help!! My skin has erupted in loads of spots whiteheads and cysts as well as loads of little bumps with lots of redness. I used to have isolated chin acne (it was no where else) Even my cheeks were super clear- I feel like I’ve tried absolutely everything from natural remedies to creams and topical treatments right now I’m using the neutragena clearing face wash and the Liz Earle moisturiser and toner and I occasionally use the Barnier pure active face mask. I feel like I’m at the point where I’
  4. Hey all. Im about to finish my 2nd month on Accutane which actually makes me happy because everyone tells me that accutane begins to remove pimples once and for all starting on month 3, so that makes me ecstatic. But I have a problem. When I take a shower and gently pat my face dry, I notice some blood spots to appear on the towel. I look at the mirror and it's some of my pimples. They just randomly pop and start bleeding. I don't want to get acne scars, so why does this keep happening? Al
  5. So, Things are going alright. My initial bad breakout seems to be healing pretty well(i do keep raw honey on my face whenever i can so I'm sure thats helping) and i have very minor dry skin. Unfortunately it's the internal issues that are getting to me. I've been suffering from abdominal pain and other things i won't describe.. Theres also been some bleeding! So I'm a bit worried. I have been drinking a lot on the weekend, this could be contributing? I'm very nervous... Have to take advil f
  6. Hi, so I popped a zit and a lot of white stuff came out and it bled as well. after it stopped bleeding, I cleaned it up and applied aloe Vera gel overnight. Now it looks yellowish like a scab is forming. What is the best treatment to put on it now as the scab is forming so it heals fast and quickly? it's also very red and noticeable as well. thanks !
  7. Hey girls, I've been googling and googling for days! I've gotten some relief from reading other girls posts on this site. But, I figured I'd post my own experience and hope to get some answers cleared up. So, I started Accutane June 23rd, 2013. (20mg) My first period on Accutane was July 6th-11th. Everything was normal, it ended and that was it. I didn't think anything of it because it wasn't different from any other period. Ten days later I started getting cramps, initially I just blamed it on
  8. I have moderate acne. I completely cut milk out of my diet two months ago. I started drinking lots of water. I used apple cider vinegar. It began getting clearer. My face is not sensitive, but I was so desperate to get rid of this horrible flare up all along my jaw line that I was using baking soda, lemon, benzoyl wash trying to give myself a chemical peel. I know this is horrible to do I just thought my skin could take it. So I guess it flared up because I was completely stripping it of its oil
  9. Hi, I'm new to this site. I honestly wasn't sure where else to turn. Sorry in advance for the long post... So for the last year I've had issues with my nose. I would get little bubbles/whiteheads that wouldn't pop unless I squeezed deep and really hard, which would result in the skin ripping open and taking forever to heal. It was also very common for it to spread to other areas nearby. I was told by my doctor it was impetigo. Usually, taking double strength bactrim would work really well for
  10. Hi, I always have a problem in the winter ever since I was younger with eczema on my arms and around my mouth. Around my my arm in the joints it's no longer there and hasn't left any scarring. However my mouth is another story. Recently the British weather as many may know, has been terrible! It's really cold and has been during the half term, during that time my mouth began to get slightly irritated, a day later it split and cracked the skin and felt very tight, no moisturiser or oils woul
