  1. Hello! My name is sam(male) and i'm fifteen years old and from england. I suffer from moderate acne (only whiteheads, i dont tend to get cysts/blackheads) and red bumps im not sure the exact term. When i was slightly younger (14ish) i started to get mild acne, a few at a time which quickly became moderate acne. At that time i got it primarily on my chin and upper lip, but i also got it on my temple, nose and forhead aswell as in between my eyes. I also got it quite harshly on my back and shoul
  2. Hi there. I have a lot of blackheads. There are not black blackheads, but it's tiny white simple blackheads as there are thousands of. I have no blackheads on the back, chestor shoulders. Only in the face. The T-zone and nose. There is so much blackheads so I get oily, and in the same way i have a dry face. Should I wash my face and do not moisturize, I get dry and get a lot of blackheads. I will be less oily if I moisturize me after I've washed avsiktet. But the problem is that I stil
  3. so i just ordered nucelle 10% mandelic acid and green cream. should i have ordered the mama lotion instead? i am having second thoughts. anyways, i am trying to get rid of blackheads and acne breakout. i have had facial after facial and it seems to be a waste of money because the blackheads just come back. i get them around my nose and chin. curently i am using aveda's product line for cleanser, toner and moisturizer. once i get the green cream and mandelic acid do i still need a toner?
  4. Hi, I'm a 22 year old female. I had mild acne in my younger teen years and very mild acne in my later teens until now. For the past 6 or 7 years, I have felt perfectly comfortable without wearing makeup during the daytime 95% of the time--and just wearing a little to cover small blemishes the other 5% of the time. In February, out of no where, I had an extremely bad breakout my face has not cleared up despite all my efforts. My entire forehead is completely covered with small pimples. They
  5. Well, I've been using Purpose as a facial cleanser for about 4 years now and I haven't seen any big improvements, I still get breakouts/blackheads. Now, I've been wondering If I should try to switch to Noxema as a face cleanser. Do you think this would help? Or would It possibly just make me break out even more? I'm also using Tazorac 0.1% Evoclin Foam 1% and Durac Topical Gel (clindamycin 1%, Benzoyl Peroxide 5%) I just hope Noxema won't irritate my face and cause more breakouts? thank yo
  6. I know this sounds like a Regimen forum question, mods, but I think the people who would be able to help me generally lurk this forum more, as this is where most non-inflammatory acne and SA is talked about. Okay, so quick history - I have been on the Regimen for about two years (holy crap, has it been that long that I've been clear?) and it's pretty much rocked. Except for the fact that, like some, now that my inflammatory acne is gone, I have quite a bit of non-inflammatory acne (a few blackh

    Unbeatable Acne?

  8. Hey, I'm new to this site but I'm wondering if anyone could tell me why I'm breaking out. oh btw I'm 21yrs old My lifestyle before consisted of a lot of smoking, drinking, and partying (raves) but I've stopped all of that for about two months now. During that time my skin was decent, I did get breakouts here and there for reasons I'm sure I knew why and sometimes my skin would be perfect or near perfect. As soon as I stopped all of that and did a 180, I'm talking about getting 6-8hrs of sle

    question

i dont really have bad acne i just get a pimple every once in a while but i do have oily skin and a lot of blackheads on my nose so will dan kerns regimen help my skin? i also have a little bit of redness under my lips.
  10. Hello everyone. Not really sure where to put this, so move if necessary. I've been following a certain regimen for a while now, and it's been clearing up my acne and red marks slowly, but definitely making progress. I've wanted to start tackling blackheads though, because my nose in particular is filled with them. My current regimen is as follows: Morning: Wash with Dove Cleanser for Sensitive Skin Apply Acne.org BP Apply a mixture of Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel and Olay Moisturizing Loti
  11. Hi all, I just discovered this website last week and I've been roaming around reading a lot. To start off, I'm a 17 year old male. I would consider my acne to be mild-moderate because there are small bumps on both cheeks and forehead, and around 10 larger, more easily visible "large pimples" (which aren't whiteheads though). I decided to seriously start treating my acne this summer and I've been using Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser and then applying 10% BP as spot treatment (morning a

Ok, I've always considered my acne mild to moderate, and now I have pictures, so that might help better with posting. http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/3223/acneic6.jpg (brown thing's a mole, haha) http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/9743/acne2vy0.jpg Other side: http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4122/acne3vq1.jpg http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/6394/acne4rz8.jpg Nose: http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/6979/acne5oq1.jpg (it doesn't show the blackheads very well, but i have those too ) For

    Noob needs help

hey i found this mesage board while googeling around.. now im 17 (oily-normal skin) and ive had acne since grade 8 (14 years old) and ive been to a dermatologist who gave me this antibiotic which contains benzol peroxide. That gave me an allergic reaction in which i had to go to diffrent hospitals just to figure out it was that ingrediant. Then a dermaologist said i had a skin infection (i forgot what it was called).. .she thhen put me on acutane for about 6 months, which worked really well... n
  14. well all my hardcore severe acne has gone away again, but i cant seem to deal with the problem of blocked pores, blackheads, pimples... just as if my skin is so so clogged up and nasty. Any help/ideas
  15. I've had mild acne for roughly four years, and only recently got better after using Stievamycin for about a month or so, then using a gentle cleaner (Spectrogel). Everything is gone, except I have some scars from picking (damnit) and blackheads that aren't going anywhere, and recurring whiteheads. What over the counter stuff can I get to stop the whiteheads?

    Need Help

I've been reading these forums and trying out products people had success with but I myself have not had any success with them. I need a new regimen and any tips/advice. Here's some pics of my acne, it's mainly on the side of my face going down to my cheek area as you can see. It's blackheads mixed with whiteheads all over. I have had this for about 2 years and I am 16 years old. I have tried Tazorac, Benzaclin, Neutragena Advanced Solutions, C&C products, and I've been taking Minocycline f

    Type of acne ?

I'd post pictures but I don't have the self-confidence to take one. My skin, well, I've yet to come across someone with the same kind of skin as me, most people tend to have a patch of biggish spots with clear skin in parts. Me, well I rarely get big spots, but I NEVER have any clear skin. Every pore is filled with some sort of 'gunk'. I have a lot of blackheads around my nose and a few on my head that aren't as noticeable. But EVERY pore is filled with whiteish serum, its not that noticeable wh

    Yay!

My acne is significantly improving!! I have finally found the right regimen! Using dans idea of being a gentle as you can to your skin while washing and stuff has really helped me alot. Inbetween each step I wait 10 min before doing the next. It really lets the BP, SA, and sulfur soak in, dry out and penetrate the pores before I add anything else. The murad products, although I have been adviced not to use, are what has helped me the most to get rid of my white heads the fastest withough damagin
  19. Hi I am 21 i am a long time reader and a first time poster. When i was about 14 I developed small little pimples all over my forehead i went to a derm and went on antibiotics which cleared my skin completely for 2 years then i moved out of home and my acne suddenly went out of control and i had constant break-outs all mostly in my chin area but not really cysts or anything the antibiotics just stopped working all of a sudden i went to a new derm and went on roaccutane i was on it for one year an
  20. I have been blessed with fairly clear skin. I am 18 and my nose has been the area on my face with the most problems. At least 3 months ago I popped two giant pimples on my nose and now I am left with flat red marks where the pimples used to be. I have seen little to no change in terms of area and redness. Besides these spots, my nose is covered in blackheads that won't do anything when I squeeze em. These days I use St. Ives Apricot Blackhead Scrub and Nivea Men's Gentle Face Wash. I drink
  21. My spots keep changing in style from changes to my diet and what im treating them with..anyone else get the same? I remember a couple years ago I was on tetracyline and I had big red lurking papules on my lower cheeks and jaw mainly on the left side. When I went on Dalacin the spots spread out higher on my cheeks but were slightly smaller, on both sides. When i went on lymecycline & zineryt solution late last year it was back to the lower cheeks/sideburn area (even though im a girl and do
  22. Im 17, been getting spots for about 2 years now, much worse the past 6 or so months. The thing is my acne seems completely different from anyone elses I have seen. I think its fairly mild, its sort of like the occasional spot, but.. not so occasional. Don't have the normal red small bumps that don't seem to come to whiteheads like I see many with. No blackheads either really, just end up getting a bunch of whiteheads around my mouth/chin and a few on cheeks. What kind of acne do I have =/? I h

    make up on acne

alright, so i'm hoping to get a question answered that i've always had. there's been something like a blackhead on my cheek, it eventually turned white. this happens to me somewhat often and i'm always able to get them out with no problem. but friday night was different. i got home really late, i guess i was angry haha, and tried to remove it. i didn't stop when it started to bleed like i normally do. i know, i know. huge mistake. you could barely tell it was there in the first place so i'm not
  24. You guys know when sometimes if you look at someone's nose the pores are larger and on certain people you can see them filled with blackish gunk - I don't know if you would identify those as blackheads or not. Anyway I've been getting pretty bad bnreakouts recently and I've noticed similar looking pores as described above on my face. They look like the pores on the nose and then over time some become raised, which I think are blackheads, and then eventually develop into whitehead pustules. Wh
  25. Hey, Before i begin, great website! I imagine it is very beneficial to acne prone people, especially teens.. like myself. I find that after popping a whitehead and squeezing it until some clear fluid comes out (yes, i know.. not recommended), then washing my face and letting some more fluid come out by itself and letting it dry/harden and leave it on my face for a while helps remove that pimple. I usually do it before bed so it dries overnight and i wake up and rub it off gently or shower an
