  1. Yes, getting rid of acne has been a breeze for me, but what hasn't been so easy to get rid of have been my blackheads. I have a lot on my nose and some around it and on my chin. I also have some on my forehead. My cheeks are clear though. (phew) Now that acne isn't such a pain anymore, my blackheads have become far more noticeable!! So, I did some research. Apparently black soap for blackheads seems to work! African Black Soap. But does it really? Is it as gentle and effective as everyone says
  2. Has any one head of this treating mild/moderate active acne?? theres only a few forums about these products but i want to know if any one used this stuff on actual ACTIVE acne without any initial breakout and it got better?? ANYONE please let me know if you have any info on these two products PLEASE.. thanks! (:
  3. I heard some great things about black.soap and I decided to try it on my fave and back and chest (have a lot of acne and acne scars on my back!). I bought AAAshea butter black soap from whole foods. I tried it morning and night for the past 2 days but I think it might be making my acne worse? It's very drying so I used it with argan oil. On my face it eemed to cause more white heads and redness. On my back and chest I seemed to get more red pimples and it just irritated my already existin
  4. 5. Hi all, I have been fighting with my acne for years. Looking in the mirror and for the first time feeling my acne is under control and confident is amazing. I want to share with you all, especially all the Australian regimen users what I use and what has worked for me. Please note this is my variation on the regimen. I tried the acne.org cleanser, and moisturiser, however the products I am now using worked best for me. Cleanser - Dr Wood Black Soap . The most gentle cleanser, and really gets
  6. Okay so I have had mild acne since I was like 10 or 11 and now I'm 14 and its gotten so bad I can't even walk out of my bedroom without makeup on and no matter how much makeup I wear you can still see the redness and acne through it. Its so embarrassing because I'm a dancer so at like competitions I have to take off my makeup because I'll be wearing like costume makeup and I'll have to change it to a different character or something and take it all off and I've had people ask me if it was an all
  7. I've just purchased some African black soap by Nubian Heritage as I've read some really good reviews about it helping people with their acne. I was drawn to trying it as it contains organic ingredients such as aloe vera, coconut oil and shea butter. I like using natural skincare products and try to avoid harsh chemicals like BP all over my face (part of the main raison I won't try this sites regimen). I have moderate acne, used to be cystic but now mainly red spots/whiteheads, concentrated main
  8. This is the first topic I've made and I'm not entirely sure if it is most suited for this sub-forum, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. If it belongs somewhere else, my apologies. Firstly, if you're allergic to one of the ingredients in your topicals is it possible that you can just breakout in one place? Or should an allergic reaction be expected to occur over all the areas you put it? Secondly, is going natural (e.g. African Black Soap) really better than using chemical topicals tha
  9. Hi. I have acne prone combination skin. I just recently purchased Shea Moisture African Black Soap for Acne and Problem skin. I wanted to know if anyone here has tried this product and how it worked for them. Also what is a good moisturizer to use with this product? I have been using a 10% benzoyl peroxide cleanser prior to this and I wanted to use something that wasn't loaded with chemicals and see how it takes to my face so if anyone has used this product how long did it take to see results a
  10. My acne is really bad and I'm sort of at a loss, nothing really helps. But I'm trying a new skincare routine and it seems to keep breakouts at bay, I'm gonna stick with it for a while. I'll be honest: I never used to drink water. Like ever. But—my skin was always fine until I was about 17. I'm 18 now so my acne's been really bad for like a year now and it makes me really depressed. Really, really depressed I'm sure yall on here understand that... It's all I think about when I'm talking to pe
  11. So I've always had almost perfect clear skin as a kid and even as an early teen, even while always having oily skin. However, as I got older I started noticing small breakouts, but not many. They usually went away rather quicker and left little to no marks on my face. Around age 15-16 my face became REALLY oily and I started developing blackheads, but they were barely noticeable. However, recently, now aged 17, my acne has been getting really bad and bothersome. Sometimes it calms down, an
