  1. Has anyone tried orange corrector/concealer for hyperpigmentation and NOT dark circles? I'd like to know what your experience was, which ORANGE correctors you have tried..? I know it's common to use for dark circles, sun damage and to prevent brown skin tones from looking ashy when wearing foundation, concealer, powder & all these dark products have a very high pore clogging rate. Anyway lol, let me know what worked and didn't. Cheers!
  2. Hey, So i've been using the whole acne.org regimen for a while now (roughly 3/4 months) and i have seen results but now i'm thinking of incorporating other products to speed up the process. Currently i'm trying soko glam triple lightening serum to see if that works.
  3. i'm looking for a laser center that has experience treating black skin. Some of my acne/follicultis is due to hair removal. It's time to laser. If you have had a personal positive experience with laser hair removal on black skin or "caramel" skin tone in the Bay area, i'd like to know your experience, cost and where you had treatment done, thanks!
  4. This site is a blessing to me right now, to actually find some many people who are experiencing the same issues as me really helps. Although I don't wish it on any of you (it's still nice to know I'm not alone) selfish I know *hangs head in shame* lol. Soooo..... I've suffered from acne since the age of 13, it started with a few pimples here and there and never really got too bad until I was about 18. My issue more than the acne is the scarring, my skin scars so badly without me picking spots.
  5. Hello, I need help. I'm dealing with acne since I was 12 years old and I just turned 18. Everytime I look in the mirror I feel disgusted. I can't even look people in the eye no more. I have a lot of these hard pimples without a head on my face and a lot of big black acne scars. I tried everything and nothing helps. Please help me, I just can't live like this anymore.
  6. Hi everybody, I'm from France, I'm 24. 2 years ago, I had a terrible skin infection living me with severe red/purple on my cheeks. I lost everything. As a black skinned, I was told unfortunately there are not much to do with old scarring... I realize I just accepted the idea of living a miserable life of solitude. I gave up every possible expectation I had. I'm honnestly mostly dead inside.. But I thought I maybe should try all I can to fix it, so I don't regret anything... So, I at
  7. Hello, I recently, 17 days ago, had a micro-needling or dermapen session to remove old acne scars and shrink pores but instead my skin looks worse! I researched this procedure for an entire year before I was sure I wanted to do it. I am someone who only does things naturally so this means I have been almost chemical free for many years. I did start using Cerve foam face cleanser a few months ago to help balance my skin's ph. I am very cautious of what I put on my skin. For example, I k
  8. I have noticed over the years my face has increasingly become darker than my neck and body. It could be from years of attempting to correct my hyperpigmentation with exfoliants, over exfoliating and occasionally hydroquinone. My question is, has anyone with brown skin had this issue? What did you do/use to even out your skin tone? Please no HQ
  9. A lot has changed since I wrote my original post. When I wrote it I was regularly getting deep cystic acne on my chin and cheeks, and it got so bad that I ended up going to my dermatologist and getting claravis. Well, about a month after starting claravis i began to notice blood in my stool. That was my wake up call. I realized that taking this harsh medication was not the solution for my acne, it was a way for my dermatologist to sell pills. I realized that the real solution was to attack my cy
  10. Alsalam Alaikom and Hello Everyone. My name is Yousif, I am 30 years old Sudanese, and I am living in Dubai. Skin Description: - medium dark skin - Oily Acne started to appear on my face when I was 16 years. It started as big pimples around my nose and sometimes on the bottom of my jaw and normally they were painful. I used to pop them and try to get this annoying and ugly oil from inside. I have not used anything for the acne until I stumbled upon this website and I felt comfortable ab
  11. Hello guys, I've been on the regimen for two months maybe three and I've been slowly increasing my dosage of the benzoyl peroxide and the moisturizer. My face started to get really dry on my right cheek then the next day, the dryness was on my face. The flakiness is just on my cheeks though. I don't know what I can do to get rid of this! My skin has never peeled and it has never been this dry. Also, acne seems to be disappearing which I am very grateful for but now its basically the dark spot
  12. Have had these on my chin for several years and have not really addressed them. the only part of my face with this skin issue
  13. Hey guys, I have a serious issue here. It's mostly my fault but I just need to know how I can fix it. I've been on the regimen for two months and I still using the same amount of benzoyl peroxide and moisturizer as I was when I first started. When I started to notice this, I instantly changed the dosage to a finger length. I did this for a about a week, and my skin had changed. I normally have oil skin but my skin became so DRY and FLAKY. I never experienced something like this. I had discolorat
