  1. How bad is my bacne and bacne scars? Any tips?
  2. Hi. I haven't seen any reviews about this product on the acne.org review board/forum and I was wondering if anyone have ever used it and would like to give a review about it? If anyone doesn't know about it, this is the description of the product from the Stridex website: "Stridex Dual Solutions Intensive Acne Repair addresses pimple problems with two solutions in a single jar. Use the maximum-strength salicylic acid pads in the lower chamber for full-face coverage. They deliver maximum kerat
  3. Hi, this is my first post. I first came to this site over six years ago. I didn't join because I was internet shy but I read alot and mercifully discovered benzoyl peroxide! I thought I had tried everything, nothing the doctor had given me had worked (Zineryt, Erythromycin, Tetracycline) and in desperation I'd even tried ridiculous diet and supplement regimens that I didn't believe would work but I had to do something... But benzoyl peroxide worked! Within days! My acne had been moderate/severe
  4. Hello! I began the regimen in January of this year and my very mild acne cleared up quickly. Then, of course, I got careless and my skin started acting up. I decided to go back on the regimen and stay on it. (Just as a side note, I've always used the cleanser - never strayed from that - mainly just stopped using the BP) Anyway, I applied the BP on Monday night and all seemed fine. Then I applied it last night and woke up in the middle of the night feeling flushed and itchy around my chin
  5. Hey all. I don't have acne, but I do get bloody annoying groups of spots I'm trying to get rid of regularly. I've tried: Anything Clearasil makes, from pads to foam - At best, does nothing. Usually makes it much worse. Witch gel and sticks - While worked great at first, now just makes things worse "Stop that spot" stuff Boots makes - Same as above, but makes the area above my lip sore and dry Change of diet to get rid of milk (which I have some odd problems with), eat 5 a day, lots of wate
  6. So, I'm a 15 old girl and I've had acne for quite a while now but recently it's started to really depress me and I think it has gotten quite a lot worse. It started when I was about 11, but I only would get a few spots- barely anything and it didn't bother me. I don't know where it got to the point where it stopped being a few spots and started being acne. I wish I'd paid more attention and tackled it early on but oh well. I used to get acne on my forehead but that's cleared up now which is g
  7. For the first week or so of using BP, my skin cleared up wonderfully and I had no new spots. But all of a sudden, I'm getting spots all over now. I haven't changed my routine at all but BP seems to be ineffective. Has anyone else has this problem? Could it be possible that my skin is now more "immune" to BP or is it more likely a dietary issue?
  8. Hi everybody! Thanks to this website I was able to kill off all of my acne and ever since then I have never had a break out ever again (except for the occasional random pimple) I was 18 at the time and I didnt have a credit card so I couldnt buy the products for the Regimen online and I had to use whatever I could get my hands on at the local drugstores. I looked for similar products and they worked amazingly!!! Im so thankful I found this website! Also, the moisturizer I had started to use actu
  9. At night I cleanse my face using Dan's cleanser, then follow up with the BP treatment, and about 3-4 times a week I replace the regular moisturizer with his AHA moisturizer. Does the BP hinder the effect of AHA at all? Or vice versa?
  10. Just started using Erythromycin (3%) and Benzoyl Peroxide (5%) Topical Gel and my face looks even worse than it did before I started using it a few days ago. Is it supposed to get worse before it gets better? If that's the case, then how long before it gets better? This looks so awful... Or can someone recommend me a face lotion that I can use with it that won't break me out? Ugh, when will this end... I won't be a teenager anymore in a few weeks and my face still looks like a pizza.
  11. It is infuriating to see comedogenic ingredients for a benzoyl peroxide problem. I'm dealing with that and the fact that my skin now seems resistant to it. I have used Clean and Clear Popped Pimple Pen, which is a salicylic acid gel--not great. Not seeing any effects on cysts, but I bought it on clearance just to try a salicylic acid gel. Clean and Clear Persagel seemed to slide off my skin at night and made zits moist, but did not deflate them. I used to put hydrocortisone cream on cysts
  12. I have a question about the 8oz bp tubes, they say you use a full fingers length but everyone has different sized fingers so some would be applying more at the final amount and some would be applying less. I'm never sure if i am using the right amount. Is there any other way to measure the equal of 2 pumps of the bottle other than the finger?
  13. Hello everybody I have a bit of a history so I’d like to apologize in advance for the very long text and thank you for reading further. I’ve had a problem for quite some years now. I’m 24 years old now. It all started when I was 16. I’ve never had a single zit or whitehead/blackhead. Then suddenly I broke out on my chin. I got some cystic acne. Not bad, but a little. I startet antibiotics which helped a lot. I got totally clear and got compliments on my skin whereever I went. Then sudd
  14. I have licorice extract and green tea extract (both formulated for topical application and product mixing) to help battle the redness benzoyl peroxide causes. I use tretinoin at night but my acne warrants benzoyl peroxide in the morning. Problem: The 2.5% is too harsh on my skin. I've used it for months and it still irritates my skin to an embarassing degree. I think a less % of benzoyl peroxide will take care of what my tretinoin leaves behind. I want to mix the two calming extracts with the be
  15. I've had flaky skin from BP for 8 months and I can't take it anymore, so I am changing up the regimen to meet my needs, and I want everyone's advice and input. I'm willing to do ANYTHING to stop my skin from flaking. (btw I suffer from acne, so using too little bp I will break out) WHAT I DO NOW: Mornin': Cleanser, 1 pump BP, 2 pumps moisturizer + 5 drops of jojoba Night: Same thing WHAT I USE: CeraVe foaming facial cleanser, acne.org bp, cerave moisturizing lotion, acne.org jojoba oil W
  16. Hey guys, Has anyone else been having the problem of 'manufacturing problems'? I went to the doctors a month ago to stock up on Acnecide cream which i've been using all year. It's a BP cream, worked amazingly as long as I didn't stop using it abruptly The doctor then prescribed me the cream but I went to collect it from my local chemist and BOOM. Apparently there's manufacturing problems, all BP creams are unavailable everywhere and won't be distributed again until next year. Has anyone else
  17. Hi. I just wanna ask, in the Regimen, why can't we use 5% instead of 2.5%? I've visited almost all the drugstores near our place and they have no 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. So I still bought the 5%. What will happen if i use this? Anyone?
  18. I was wondering, how long does it take for you guys' bp to dry? I've talked about this in posts before, but I really feel like mine takes forever to dry despite rubbing it in and having completely dry skin beforehand. Also, while I'm posting, I get super dry hands from putting the bp on my back. Other than using a tool, what do you guys do to prevent this? Hope everyone is well!
  19. I just got prescribed Clindamycin in the morning and Epiduo at night by my doctor. I was wondering if I can apply my moisturizer straight after each product, or do I have to wait a long time to apply my moisturizer. I was using Retin-A before and I had to wait an hour to apply my moisturizer after applying Retin-A because I didn't want my moisturizer to infer with the it. When I use over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide I apply it and wait a few seconds then apply my moisturizer, should I do it like
  20. I would like to know how long an unopened bottle of BP lasts. If anyone could tell me that would be great
  21. Hey, I was just wondering if someone could take a look at the regimen my dermatologists has me on and tell me if seems like to much medication to them ? My regimen consists of: Morning B Prox 10 Wash http://www.dermstore.com/product_B+Prox+10+Wash_23534.htm Obagi Medical Clenziderm M.D. Therapeutic Lotion Benzoyl Peroxide 5% for spot treatment Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Moisturizer 100 mg minocycline Night 100 minocycline B Prox 10 Wash Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Moi
  22. I just wanted to post an update. I am 50 and have had acne forever with super oily skin. The cysts that started a decade ago were the worst. I was on minocycline for years. I stopped the antibiotic in December and started using Salicylic acid found on amazon at 20% strength. I use it weekly for about 3 or 4 minutes (wipe on with q-tip). Daily I use a glycolic acid cleanser (Neutrogena anti wrinkle/anti blemish) and toner (neutrogena pore refining toner) and also a 5% micro benzoyl peroxide (acn
  23. I'm using the 2.5 % from acne.org and my skin is burning after I put it on but the pain fades. I'm only seeing the label and website talk about flakiness, redness, and itchiness. I don't see anything about burning so I don't know if this is to be expected, normal, or fine, or bad.. I just started the regimen about three days ago, so I'm using the starter dosage. I'm experiencing redness, itchiness, AND pretty painful burning (but only when I put it on and a few minutes after it absorbs
  24. I was prescribed this by the doctor and she said to use it at night. Has anybody had any luck with it? What should I use to cleanse my face/remove makeup? I don't want anything to interact negatively.
  25. At what point should I use the AHA+ as a spot treatment in the morning? I normally use Dan's BP...wait 15 min and then use Cetaphil lotion. Should I apply the AHA+ in between the BP and lotion of after the lotion?
