  1. Hey guys....this is the first time I've posted here but i'm just so happy with the success of my Acne Cure Plan that i just HAD to share it with other people... Firstly, my name's Vanessa, I'm 18 and i live in Australia. My acne started in year 9 and continued until the end of year 12 until i went on this amazing plan and got rid of it for good I know that some of you have heard of Dr Dubrow and his book, "The Acne Cure". I was heaps skeptical when i first read it but i was desperate and so

    blemish question

hi, my dermitologist perscribe me DOXYCIN 100m capsules" and a gel called "CLINDOXYL GEL" (clindamycin 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5% ). i have moderate ance that comes time to time...anyway... i've been taking this medication for about 9 days now.....my major pimples have gone but it was replaced with blemishes..... (but still have these tiny pimples coming up ..that normal too..also my skin near my jaw line looks kinda rough..... is this all normal.. side effects of the meds i am taken ????)
  5. I have been battling acne for 30 years!! Yes, that's right I'm 48 years old and have been through it all. I have seen dermatologists in four different states and have been on every over-the-counter product, topical prescribed and oral acne medication known to medical science. I have even survived 5 courses of Accutane including a regimen of low-dose Accutane for a year. Yes, the Accutane cleared my skin while I was on it. My skin was blemish free. I didn't even need to moisturize because m
  6. Hi, this is my first post to these forums. I tried the acne cure because many of you reported success with it. I just wanted to say that the acne cure (by Mr Dubrow) did not noticably improve my moderate acne. (It did, however, improve skin texture). Details of what I did, are posted below. If you find anything that could have hindered the so-called cure, then please reply. PRODUCTS I USED: (I live in Norway, so it was hard to find the right products) 1. 2 % salicylic acid solution
  7. What do people (most likely in the UK, that's where it's readily available OTC) think of this topical cream? It contains: 10% Benzoyl Peroxide 0.5% Potassium Hydroxyquinoline Sulphate. I have had a very good initial response to 2 applications a day. Does anyone use it/ has anyone ever used it? (etc.)
  8. I've started a "lite" version of the acne cure where I wash once with salicylic acid in the morning, and benzoyl peroxide at night. Since starting it, I've noticed that any pimples or red marks i have are fading much much slower than they usually do. I have mild acne, I'd describe it more as "a few pimples" than acne, but my skin used to heal up new marks within 2-3 days, whereas now I've had the same red marks for like well over a week and they're still here. The only thing I've changed is a
  9. I just saw my derm last week and he gave me a prescription for Zoderm Cream. I have to say that it has worked really well as a topical to dry out the acne but not irritate my skin like normally seen with this type of medication. I also got a sample of Zoderm Cleanser and it was pretty good too but I did feel like it dried me out a bit. you should check this out if you use benzoyl peroxide since this is bp but with moisturizer. best of luck to all
  10. Hey guys a little history first. Currently i'm 22 and have had acne since i was about 15. Acne is on face, back, shoulders, forearms (blackheads) and most severe on my arms. Went to a dermatologist and she presecribed minacyclin (oral antibiotic) 100mg twice a day, differin adapalene gel and avar (sulfur) cleanser. After about 6 weeks my facial acne is well under control (almost totally gone -- just a few brown scars left and generally is very manegable). However my body acen isn't that grea
  11. I have had an acne issue for many years. I have started to gain some control over it using several expensive products. I have three acne related questions I'm hoping you can help me with. First, I notice that acne products usually have 1 of 2 main ingredients, either Salicylic acid or Benzoyl Peroxide; which one provides better results? The second question, I have very oily skin, I continually wash with acne products and it's oily again within a couple hours, is there anything I can do or ta

    No pump on BP container

Hi, I've ordered the "Big" kit twice before this, this would be my 3rd time ordering it. When my package arrived, the BP did not have a pump on it. I'm not sure if this is new or if there was just a mistake, but i'm just curious as to how to get the BP out. When I unscrew the cap, there is a tube as if it was made to be pumped out, yet no pump is on the bottle or in the box!
  14. My pharmacy has BP 5% GEL and I was wondering if this was ok to use.I know that it says to use 2.5% but will this work ok?!
  15. I am not sure if this goes in the regimen part of the forums, but since it kinda is related to the regimen, ill post it here. The main thing im wondering is, Since BP is indeed irritating and does cause dry skin, my question is, how does BP compare to other acne products (retinoids, retina, differin, clindamycin, salycic acid, aha etc). When i say compare, i mean as in what is more harsh, 2.5 % BP or these other acne products?

    Texture of Dan's BP gel?

Hi guys, I have been using the regimen for about 6 months now, with a three month gap when I moved from the USA to South Korea and discovered they don't have BP here. I was using Neutrogena's On the Spot in the USA because it was pretty easy for me to get a hold of and I was used to it. But since moving to Korea, I wanted to buy a larger size so I don't have to pay out the rear for shipping so frequently. It's the first time I've used Dan's products, and I'm noticing it feels kind of different

    Putting Bp on nose acne

Hello everyone. I am not sure if this was the correct place to ask this, but is it fine putting bp (2.5 percent, i.e.e neutrogena on the spot/ OR duac gel 5 percent BP) on your nose pimple? Can the BP cause scarring on the nose? Thanks
  18. I went to my dermatologist who gave me benzoyl peroxide wash 10% and also benzoyl peroxide gel to put on after I washed with the wash. After a while my face became really red. It also burned really bad while I both washed and applied the Gel afterwards. We discovered that I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide!! I have had this bad tendency of washing my face rather harshly sometimes in hopes of clearing up my acne. My face is pretty red now; I don't know if it's because of my acne or because of my t
  19. Hey all! I noticed a lot of people swear by BP on here. I totally understand this, because of Dan's regimen. However, I am thinking that SA may be better for me. Out of every product I have used, St. Ive's Apricot Scrub has done the most for my skin (which has SA in it). While BP does dry out my acne, it leaves me with prolonged red marks. Some people do not agree with this notion but my skin is absolute proof that it prolongs red marks (at least for me). One of my main skin problems is red ma
  20. So its hard to find much information about Dermify outside of the paid advertising or some kind of weird looking webpage. Short story: I started to have pro-active fail after years of it working fairly well. My skin got red and broke out alot. I switched to everything under the sun in the past year, skin id, max clarity, acne.org regimen, and at one point started just washing my face with a gentle cleanser and kept my skin moisturized. Anything with BP or Salicyclic acid burned my skin af
  21. After reading about Benzoyl Peroxide on this site, I figured i might as well give it a shot, so i bought some PanOxyl Aquagel 2.5%. I've been using it over the last few days, and it has definitely cleared up my skin. However I'm mainly looking for advice (not sure if this is the right place?) because two days ago i woke up with quite a very red face and lots of bumps on my forehead. Since then i have discontinued using it and have been using a lot of moisturizer since my skin is very dry. I hav
  22. I am so happy because I finally found a regimen that works for me....ok so this is what I do: -Cleanse face with a simple cleanser(I usually use cetaphil) -WAIT FOR YOUR SKIN TO COMPLETELY DRY -Apply witch hazel to your face(I keep a bottle of witch hazel in my fridge and I add 4-5 drops of tea trea oil to the witch hazel....I keep this in the fridge because it keeps the witch hazel cold and the coldness of the witch hazel helps keeps the pores closed) -WAIT FOR YOUR SKIN TO COMPLETELY DRY -App

    BP amount?

So I just started the Regimen this week with the acne.org products and I'm really excited to see how they will work for me in the next few weeks. Here's my question though...I have been using Proactiv for the last 3 months with no luck. Since my skin is used to BP applied to it 2x a day already, should I begin the regimen with the small amount of BP that is recommended, or should I use the full amount?
  24. A little bit about the redness: I don't have it at home, only at school and public places. Although it is always red in school, it gets worse when I blush. Which for some reason I do a lot more now. The red face started a year ago when I was using Retin-A (not sure what percent). I then stopped using it after a few months and switched to 10% BP. This kept me (basically) clear, but I still had a red face, which was one of the reasons I stopped using Retin-A. I put up with it, because, hey,

    Bp Clumps?

Anyone know if I'd get less clumping with Dan's moisturizer, or some other moisturizer? I've been using proactiv lately with 0 clumping, but I have almost a full tube of the acne.org BP
