  1. Hi acne.org community, Seeing as I've been using acne.org regimen products for the past few months I've thought it appropriate to register here and share my spots of bother... ahaha... I've been acne prone since I was 13 and now I'm 17, and the severity has worsened. Proactiv did work for me until about two years ago, and that's when I had to take a different approach. So far acne.org's BP treatment in conjunction with the AHA+ (which I've been using for just a week) has really helped ta
  2. From the album: Week One / Day 3

WEEK ONE / DAY THREE (I was using Proactiv until it ran out and then I switched to the Regimen because Proactiv was too harsh on my skin.) My skin become even more dry. I was not using a moisturizer, as the Proactiv kit does not provide one. This made my skin extremely irritated and flakey. I noticed that my skin was "hardening", which can happen when you use Benzol-Peroxide, and it was becoming even darker in color. I noticed areas that were inflamed were no longer, however,

WEEK ONE (I was using Proactiv until it ran out and then I switched to the Regimen because Proactiv was too harsh on my skin.) I decided to try Proactiv in February, as it had worked for me in my younger years. After starting Proactiv, my skin was very blotchy and irritated. I noticed that my skin began to flake, and where I had put the Benzol-Peroxide, my skin was "hardening" and becoming darker. This was very aggravating as I have fair skin, and my neck had an obvious line of darker skin, to
  4. So i was using a 10% benzol peroxide cream and suflo exfoliant soap for about a month and a half. At first the treatment cleared my skin right up with no horrendous side effects, but over time my skin became progressively more red and the peeling worsened to the point that it sometimes became almost purple. At this point i discontinued the treatment but still used the suflo soap, until i discontinued that as well. However, the redness persisted even with no treatment and although it has lessen

  6. I've been using 10% BP for about 6 months. I started Accutane just over 3 months ago. I really don't think the BP is doing anything. What's going to happen if I go back to 2.5% BP? Does your body become immune to the BP so that if you lowered the percentage it would effectively be useless?
  7. I have been using Dan's BP for a couple of weeks now and every time I put it on my face, my eyes immediately start stinging and streaming. It stops after the BP has been rubbed into my skin but it's really painful until then. I last used Dan's BP in 2006 and had no problems then. I used Panoxyl until they stopped manufacturing it because it was cheaper to buy in the UK than Dan's. Has this happened to anyone else or have I got a bad batch?

    Updates 5/27

Updates! Its been 20 days already? Well, I went about a week and a half without duac ran out, so my derm prescribed me the two meds separately. and WOW it burned my skin at first ( I think I used too much, too) definitely more potent than the expired sample duac haha. I broke out a bit during my non-duac days.... sigh, i'm guessing I cant get off this stuff. But it gave my skin time to heal so a lot of the old red marks are gone! My skin isn't perfect yet, but its working its way, I can tell!

    Benzol Peroxide 2.5?

Hey! I've used Benzol Peroxide 10% (a very, very small amount of this stuff) and each time I used it, the next morning my face was red, swollen, and irritated as heck. I have pretty sensitive skin as it is. I'm also taking Doxycycline Mono so that doesn't help. I might try out Acne.org's 2.5% treatment. I have mild acne. Is this a bad idea?

    Acne around mouth !

Hey guys so I am suffering a lot because I remember one day I was sick and I didn’t wash my face at night because I was feeling really tired , I was using 10% BP just around my mouth because sometimes there would be a zit. So after that day I noticed a little more zits around my mouth and after that it became worst and worst , I am still using BP and moisturizing but I really do not know what to do !!! Help !! I wear hoodies everyday to school and wear a hood because I am so insecure !
  11. Currently i am using a product called Benzac Ac which consists of a general wash and a cream which both have varying amounts of benzol peroxide in each. (the wash 50g/g and the cream 10g/g). I was wondering if switching over to the regimen which focuses around benzol peroxide which i am already using will make much of a difference to my skin.
  12. Hello everyone at Acne.org! Here's just a quick story about me! and a question! My name is Holly and im a 23 year old that has naturally oily skin (like all the women in my family) and Ive had mild acne since I was 14. No product has consistently worked for me until now...Ive been using the Regimen products for a month now and my skin has been beautiful. I hate wearing makeup but I always wore it out because I was embarrassed of my acne. Now I dont even have to any more! So happy!!! I w
  13. Hi all am new here. Have battled 100's of these pesky bumps all over my face since I've been a teen am now 32 year old female. Have tried accutane, lasers, every script under the sun and most worked well but now I'm covered with melasma all over my face. I'm currently using finacea gel 15% (azelaic acid) but I don't have Rosacea or inflammatory acne. Thus it's not working much for the bumps but seems to be helping the melasma. Any idea if I can mix finacea in the morning and salicylic
