  1. Raagh!! Accidentally went back and lost my entry. Hate that! Okay, you may want to sit down for this. Oh, you're already sitting down? Good. Well, I developed acne out of the blue just under four months ago, and today is my one hundredth day of acne treatment. Yup, exciting stuff. I'm waiting for my surprise party, any minute now. Just let me know about it beforehand so I am wearing something respectable. A tad disappointed with my skin at the moment. Back and chest are fine, nothing serious
  2. Hey, 19 Y/O, 175lbs, 5"11, Male. So I've had pretty bad acne specifically on my lower face for about 5 months, thus I've been on Accutane (30mgs for a month, now 50mgs) for 2 months and I've seen zero change. (See Before Picture) Last week I went to a festival for 4 days. Ate nothing. 3 Breakfast bars for the 4 days. Didn't wash. Slept in a tent Drank a huge amount of booze. A massive amout of booze. Didn't take my Accutane. Dripping in sweat every night. (The majority of the
  3. So my acne is pretty bad and I started taking minocycline about 10 days ago and it started to calm down a bit. Anyways, I just took a sip of Blue Moon beer and all of the sudden, my cheek/jar line acne that went away came back. I have no idea if I'm allergic to wheat or whatever in the Blue Moon. Has anybody experienced anything like this?
  4. ★★REAL Causes of ACIDOSIS & HEARTBURN★★ Hyperacidity, also called acidosis, is known as the main cause of HEARTBURN, which is a BURNING SENSATION in the esophagus. Esophagus is the foodpipe that connects the throat with the stomach. Oranges, grapefruits, tomatoes, chillies, peppers, mustard, other spices, wine, beer, other alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee, carbonated beverages and many other foods and drinks have been blamed by doctors, medical scientists and nutr
  5. Dammit, my first post got erased before i hit send so im gonna keep it shorter. 13th week of 80mg/day 2nd blood test required. scared because i had a few beers tonight and my test is in 2 days. will this affect results (liver enzymes) i hate blood tests, so dont wanna redo it. also had a slightly high reading of ldl cholestrol...anything i can do to lower the reading between now and saturday? I have fish oil pills which i heard helps. whats weird is that on the labco
  6. I was wondering something about consuming alcohol. Can drinking alcoholic beverages like beer, wine, sake, martini, etc affect acne? My belief since alcohol damages brain cells and tissues within the body and can kill ya, I thought it would kill the oil glands and weaken the sebum oil produce rate. And possibly kill acne since using rubbing alcohol tightens pores and eliminates bacteria. It seems so ironic...
  7. I've been updating content on acne.org to reflect all of the very latest science. Here's the completely updated alcohol and acne page.
  8. With New Years coming up in a few days I've started to worry about the whole 'drinking on accutane' situation. With loads of my friends at one big party, how can I avoid alcohol without telling them the reason why I can't drink it? I feel insecure and never want to tell anyone outside my family about what I'm putting myself through for 6 months so that is out of the question! I'm half way through my first month in a 6 month course (at 20mg/day) if that helps at all. Any advice would be great!
